Wow! This place blew my mind! I felt like I was walking along the streets of Italy and stumbled upon this restaurant. The decor, the ambiance and the service all reminded me of my experience in Italy, without the sitting fees *wink*. The food is delicious and everything is made in house. The gnocchi is probably my favorite of the night next to the carbonara. The salmon I ordered was cooked perfectly! The sauce that was used for the mussels was amazing! I'm not a fan of mussels, but that sauce made everything taste great! Don't pass up the bruschetta either! The tomatoes were so fresh! The calamari was a bit too "bready" for me, but others drowned it with the sauce. Definitely coming back here to dine again! Thank you so much for bringing Italy to Utah! More...

I was more than presently surprised with this little restaurant! It was beautiful inside and not at all what I expected. It's off the beaten path, but worth the drive! They had an incredible wine selection, and all the pasta was homemade. We can't seem to get enough! We will definitely visit this restaurant as often as possible. Read some yelp reviews about the place being mostly empty and food being mediocre. We couldn't get in to our normal places so we decided to give it a shot. Son had one of their pizzas, I did fettuccine bolognese and wife had lasagne. Everything was good! Very good at that. Wine is overpriced but that really was my only complaint. Waiter almost opened a bottle of pino noir rather than our pino grigio. Luckily I stopped him before he cut the wrapper off on top. More...

It was one of those nights when you just need pasta. Like more than anything else in the world you need pasta. The reviews here were really good so we decided to give it a try. It was a weekday and early (ish) around 6pm. The place itself is unassuming and when we arrived I was worried that it might not be open because it appeared totally empty inside. Fortunately for us they were open, albeit a little slow. In fact, we were the only table there our entire visit. On one hand, it was like having a private restaurant, on the other hand, a little too quiet for regular voice conversation The food itself was really quiet good. We ordered a pasta and a pizza. The fresh mozzarella on the pizza was soooooo creamy and perfect. The pasta dish was a little on the small side considering the cost, but it was also very good.I would love to come back sometime when the joint is hopping. This was my first time at Carmine's and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was wonderful and the food was tasty. I had the carbonara which was savory and delicious. My 2 other friends both ordered gnocchi. The 4 cheese was insanely tasty and the pesto was scrumptious. I do wish they included a small salad at this price point. I loved everything about this place. Italian is my favorite and the dishes here were wonderful. The gnocchi was so creamy and rich, just how I like it. The hubs got the salmon ravioli and it was delicious as well. For dessert we got the lemon gelato. At first I thought it was weird because the consistency isn't creamy and smooth. Good Italian in Utah is hard to find and Carmine's hit the nail on the head. The food was homemade and the service was even better. The second we walked through the door we were greeted by someone in the kitchen. Our wait staff was very attentive and professional and made great recommendations. We had a company dinner with18 ladies at Carmine's last night. They had a special area set up for us and from the beginning to the end everything we perfect. The tables were set very pristine and lovely. We had wine and our waiters were fabulous about making sure everyone had what they needed. We ordered the bruschetta and calamari, both were Delicious. The appetizer platters were large -we certainly got plenty of food. Many of us ordered their house lasagna, the noodles were so fresh they were melting in your mouth. Portions were large, food came out of the kitchen hot. Several ladies had the Carbonara pasta which came in a baked Parmesan cheese bowl - such a great idea- and the Carbonara itself was yummy. This is the best Italian restaurant in the valley. We moved four years ago from St.Louis which has fantastic Italian restaurants. Carmines would be very close to the top of list in any location. This is truly the best authentic Italian restaurant in the whole of Utah! Thin pizzas, perfectly cooked al dente pasta, fresh ingredients and a great wine selection. Staff is great, food comes out at a relaxed pace. It feels like being in Italy! The only negative is that they don't have a espresso machine. We chose Carmine's to be our 3 year anniversary dinner date. We made a reservation (just in case) on Monday at 530. We go in and it is completely empty except for one other table of two. The restaurant seemed very clean and was very comfortable and relaxing. The only people working the front of house was the owner and one server (she mentioned that a lot of her people were on vacation.) The owner was very kind and personable and made us feel very welcome and important even before she found out that it was our anniversary.We ordered the Impepata di Cozze (steamed Mussels) as our appetizer. The mussels were so tender and flavorful and really tasted like fresh, quality food.For our entrees we ordered the Carbonara and the Ravioli which is stuffed with Salmon in a creamy lobster sauce.Originally we were going to each eat half of our dish then trade so we both get a half of the Ravioli and half of the Carbonara. Well the moment we tried our dishes we didn't want to share any more! The ravioli was incredible. The flavor was just perfect. Again fresh quality tasting seafood. I can see someone who doesn't like fishier tasting seafood not being a fan of this dish because the combination of Salmon and Lobster makes for a fishy tasting dish. But we absolutely loved it. The Carbonara was also incredible. It came out in a baked cheese bowl that, when broken up and combined with the pasta, was just perfect. It was so creamy and bacony, I'm pretty sure it's the best Carbonara I've ever had. Writing this review and thinking about it is making my mouth water!After we mentioned to the owner that this was our anniversary date she brought us out a Creme Brulee on the house as our dessert. It was very tasty.This place was pricey but so worth it if you want quality delicious food. I am looking forward to trying more of their menu and my husband has already expressed his desire to come back to Carmine's for all of our future special occasions. More...

Absolutely incredible! I grew up eating Italian food in the North End of Boston and this is the real deal. The food was fresh and authentic, and the atmosphere was tasteful and modern (not your typical dated Italian restaurant). Highly highly recommend!
