Every moment of this massage felt completely attentive, intuitive, and focused. Noel kept me in dreamy relax space the whole time, while she took care of every square inch of my body. This was one of those body work sessions where you leave feeling 100% happy to have payed the price because the experience is so quality. For me, a big part of a massage is whether the therapist is present, and I felt like Noel was really reading my needs the whole time. Let me start by saying that Noel's hands do wonders!! One of (if not THE) best massages I've ever had. I went with my wife (still fun to say since we got married three days ago) and had a couples massage. Do not be alarmed! The location is odd, it's in a studio apartment and kind of weird walking in there, but Noel is extremely welcoming and so nice. Immediately they offered us water/tea/anything we'd need. They put on some classical music and exited while we disrobed. The massage itself was incredible! Absolutely fantastic experience. I specified what I wanted in a massage and Michelle went above and beyond. I’m an athlete so she focused her deep tissue techniques on all the key spots where my muscles were right. She and Noel are incredibly knowledgeable about the body and the muscles/joints. My wife and I had a couples massage with Noel and her partner and it was exquisite! The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. I got lucky and ended up on the massage table by the fireplace . Noel performed my massage and she truly does have a unique touch and great sense of what spots to hit. I've had a lot of massages with different modalities but she touched muscles and areas I've never had done before, honestly areas that I would never have thought would even feel good. We were able to get an appointment here last minute before leaving the area that afternoon. I really don't have any complaints about the quality of the massage. Both our techs were great (I had Christina, my husband had someone else but her name escapes me). Very relaxed, quiet, all that. It IS in a house and if you follow the texted directions closely in conjunction with google maps, you will find it fine. Parking is a touch tight. The things that knocked this down a star were the following:There's no real way to rinse or wipe off the ample amounts of lotion/balm/oil used for the massage. After other massages I've had, I have been at least offered a towel or a few warm towels to wipe down. The other issue was we were kind of rushed out. It could of been because we were scheduled too tight. But, it took a bit to get dressed without ruining our clothes from the lotion, then I had to pee. By the time I was done, we had to run out. From the first second talking to Noel, I knew she'd be awesome to work with. Noel took my boyfriend and I last minute (I'm talking about a day before) for our anniversary and made things work for us. She called me after hours to get us in and call up someone to help her out, which was so nice of her. Her studio is nestled in this quiet, serene neighborhood. It almost reminds me of a treehouse when you get to the second floor. The view is also breathtaking. I was lucky to have Noel be my therapist that day and she did a phenomenal job. I could tell she is incredibly passionate about her work. She was very communicative about pressure and told me to be honest with her if I ever felt pressure was to strong, which I did tell her at one point and she adjusted perfectly to my preference. I am so impressed and beyond happy. I called in less than two days before my anniversary (way too last minute for many other place) and Noel called me back within a half an hour and was so bubbly and sweet over the phone. I was able to schedule a couples massage last minute with no hassle. My boyfriend and I showed up and immediately were greeted and offered water and felt very welcome. The place was immaculate- absolutely gorgeous. The sunlight came in through the big window and it was so peaceful and calming. They had our massage tables heated for us and our massages were heavenly. I'm usually very self conscious when it comes to massages because I feel some places judge your body- but they made me feel incredibly welcome and safe and I was able to fully relax. Beautiful!  My partner and I had a couples massage today. It could not have been more perfect. Noel was able to fit us in with less than a 24 hour notice. I will say that I'm generally very shy and self conscious about my body, but I felt entirely at ease with these ladies. They were both very kind and welcoming. They wee both very engaging and talkative, but with the perfect balance of silence when it was time to get serious .  The ambiance was eclectic and the room was full of interesting things to look at. The view was breathtaking. Classical music was played. Coconut oil was used as the massage oil, if you're a coconut oil lover like me that's a plus.  Noel did deep tissue for my partner and (I believe my massage therapist's name was Lisa) did some form of long stroke Swedish which included a scalp and foot massage. While on vacation, I decided to book a massage with Noel and I'm so glad I did!  The location is perfect - beautiful view, relaxing music, and you can even hear the birds chirping.  I have been getting deep tissue/sports massages for a while now and it's hard to find someone that really knows what they are doing/someone that listens to you when there is, or isn't, enough pressure.  I have to say, Noel is at the top of my list.  I look forward to coming back. I am in some pain with a shoulder injury and was told Noel at Carmel Massage is the one to see.  I arrived at her lovely studio in Carmel and she promptly went to work on me after asking about trouble spots in my body.  She did a very deep tissue massage, and more than addressed the problems in my shoulder and then some.  She was keenly aware of any pain i was experiencing and asked me regularly how I was doing with the pressure.  She found muscles in my body that I had no idea were related to the shoulder issue and worked out some very deep tight knots.  Her knowledge of the musculature and how each area related to my shoulder pain was very helpful, and I did experience a lot of relief and release after the massage.  For anyone that needs to address deep problems areas in their body, Noel is the one to go to.  I'll be booking regular appointments to work on my shoulder/back until it fully heals, and once I achieve that I'll be back for a complete body massage at the studio. Me and my boyfriend got a couples massage and we absolutely loved our experience. This was his very first professional massage. My husband gave me a gift of massage with Noel, because he knew I was suffering from joint pain and muscle ache. I had other massages before, but by far, Noel is the best. She really knows massage and human body in and out. This is different from Spa kind of massage. I feel it really improves your health over all as well as healing specific problems. My fiancé and I went for her birthday yesterday and it was great! Even though she had the times mixed up as our spot was 12pm and her colleague was rocking up at 1pm she was able to make it at 12:30. It was fine having a chat to Noel and she was asking is about what problems we had and what areas to work on. I have been looking for a deep tissue masseuse for a good year now and came across Noel's name.  Noel does a PHENOMENAL job.  She is wonderful knowledgeable and incredibly effective.  I run and travel a fair amount for work and the right side of my body was so stiff and sore I felt broken.  One session with Noel helped tremendously and now I will continue to see her on a regular basis to help with muscle recovery and healing.Her studio is bright and quiet and very peaceful.  Noel plays soothing classical music and is a joy to speak with.I highly recommend her! It's been over 2 months since I had the privilege of receiving a 90 minute massage by Noel, and I think about it often. I visited Laguna Seca and Carmel and needed a break from the automobile weekend. Fortunately, Noel was able to fit me into her schedule (same day!) and she welcomed me to her studio. I felt comfortable immediately as the style of the studio is similar to Frank Lloyd Wright. Her puppy greeted me with kisses and then went to his mat which he never again left.Noel found out my few health concerns and what I hoped for in the massage (relaxation). She left the main room which holds the massage table, got me a glass of water, and put on classical music while I got under the sheet.Noel talked to me while she worked away my tension, asking many times if the pressure was ok. She listened and changed depending on my answers.I'm pretty sure I fell asleep on the table and probably drooled because I was so relaxed.Then she gave me a recommendation for her favorite restaurant in town La Balena. I just had the best deep tissue massage of my life!  I'm no novice to the massage world and am sad that I haven't had a "regular' masseuse for years. ...but I may have just found a new one!  In any case, I've had countless treatments in my time and this was one of the most satisfying.  I was reading someone else's review, and yes, massages in hotel spa's are nice, with all the pretty soaps and free razors and the staff of faceless therapists rubbing you with scented oils.  And in Mexico, wow, even better!  But let's face it, EVERYTHING is cheaper south of the border!The studio Noel works out of IS in a residential area, so it's super quiet...no car doors slamming, no delivery trucks...just the music I selected after being offered a choice.  (And Noel REALLY won me over when she said she didn't even have any New Age music!)It's a really cool space, kind of a throwback to the 60's, with glorious views of the Santa Lucia Mountains.  It's filled with light.  The only scent I noticed was that of the glorious wisteria and jasmine vines outside on the patio...and the lilies on the table.  It was a beautiful day and so I asked for the top of the Dutch door to remain open...it was heaven.The two adorable small dogs ignored me, which was kind of a bummer, because I'm totally a dog person, but that's another story.  Let's get to the meat of the matter...the massage itself.The table was warm and snug.  It had a feature I had never encountered before...a little shelf, under the face rest, to set your arms on..brilliant!  Noel chatted a bit with me about my body, any issues I was having, and the depth of intensity I liked with a massage.  At various times throughout the massage, she asked me if I was comfortable relative to this, and any pain I was having.  She knows her muscles and how they work together, even describing the body as a pulley system...makes sense to me!The draping was discreet, as was the process for undressing and getting dressed again.  I mention this because many people who are new to massage are really freaked out by this part of the treatments.  If you feel like your privates are hanging out for the world to see, you can't really relax, now, can you?  Not to worry here, she's got you covered.  Literally.I've been working a lot on my computer, and working out a lot at my gym.  Noel picked up on this right away and addressed those issues.  BOY, did she address those issues.  Up one side and down the other, she pulled, pushed, prodded, rubbed, and wrestled with my uber tight muscles and tired bones!  Really, the best deep tissue massage I've ever had JUST happened with Noel!  At the end of the treatment, she even showed me some exercises to help with some problems I've been having with my hands tingling.  Really, I can't stress how great this massage was.  I'd be a fool if I didn't return. I am now a frequent recipient of Noel's deep tissue massage. I experience a lot of pain and tension due to the strain of working as a server and having the posture of a student. Before I saw Noel I had tried countless massages in hopes of relief but often found them to be uncomfortable and ineffective. Make no mistake, my back, neck and shoulders were knotted in to one extensive back ache; but with perfectly precise and effective deep tissue massage I have achieved better health. My husband and I drove down from San Francisco for a weekend getaway in Carmel. We found Carmel Massage on Yelp and contacted Noel to setup an appointment. She was able to fit us in for a couple's 1 hour massage on short notice.  Carmel Massage is located within a beautiful wooded area in Carmel. It has an incredible panoramic view of the mountains from the massage studio. The interior is extremely cozy and welcoming. Noel gave me, by far, the best therapeutic massage I have had in years. I get massages all the time. you can tell when someone knows what they're doing. this was a great recovery massage. i just finished a grueling 13mi obstacle race. noel makes house calls. she came to my suite and gave me one of the best massages I've every had. The stretches were great that she incorporated into the massage. If i lived in the area she would be my go to masseuse. I searched the web for massage for our girls weekend, I thought it would be easier to find somewhere that could accommodate 4 of us at the same time. When I contacted Carmel Massage, Noel was so nice and found a way to accommodate us, she called in 3 other massage practitioner's and told me it might be pretty cozy with all four of us, I was so pleased that she was willing to make it work for us.It really wasn't cramped at all, we felt like there was plenty of room, there were 3 of us in one room and 1 in a separate room The location was beautiful, it is a house in a neighborhood in the tree's, with an amazing view.
