So in love with this place! The view from our hotel room. This is exactly what a city girl needs to reset and have time to appreciate everything in my life. Everyone on this trip so far has been amazingly sweet, the views are unforgettable, and the adventures together with my hubby are memorable!!! Had a wonderful stay! Mrs Peggy Benoit set up our stay and we met a different Miss Peggy upon arrival. We were checked in quickly and effortlessly! Miss Peggy gave us some great ideas for places to go and encouraged us to try the breakfast in the morning. Our room was spotless and beds were comfortable! It was easy to sleep and breakfast in the morning was amazing! The dining area was a lot bigger than I expected and there was a variety of fresh foods to choose from. C is for Carmel Inn!C as in Congratulations for running an amazing place! It is Charming, Cozy, Clean and Comfortable. The staff is Courteous and Considerate, right down to noting that my luggage wasnt in my room and calling me to make sure I was alright (I was, it was in the other room with my travelling companions, but their call made me feel like they truly were looking out for my safety and well being, and that I was Cared for). Their Complimentary breakfast is delicious, run by a Capable, Cheerful woman who helps start the day off right! All in all, C may be for Carmel Inn, but I definitely give it an A+!!! Thanks so much! What a nice surprise. This is a gem hidden in the town of Thibodaux, LA. We are out here visiting family after my brother's passing and found this place after a disappointing stay at a national motel chain a street over from the Carmel Inn. What a difference! Superior customer service, very comfortable rooms (a/c works great! and comfy bed) with microwave and refrigerator in the room. A small but very efficient fitness room, a pool, free hot breakfast, and Pet Friendly! Very nice people and the owners are hands on, not in the background letting others run their business. I'm only giving 4 stars b/c I've never stayed here, but our family business has used The Carmel's meeting rooms on several occasions, many years in a row. The staff and management are beyond courteous and helpful!  There is always someone in management visible and readily available to assist us with any question or need we have. The staff is always diligent to keep us updated should a room change be needed. We've always had enough tables and chairs at our disposal. It costs us roughly $400 for four full days of room rental. And as I mentioned at the first, we've availed ourselves of their hospitality services for several years in a row.  I can happily recommend the Carmel Inn and Suites for your hospitality events. This place has so much charm! I loved being able to read about the history of the hotel in our room, that was awesome! We helped my sister & brother in law move down here to attend Nicholls and what luck it was to find this hotel! Everyone we spoke with was so sweet.
