Carlowrie Castle was a stunning venue for my daughter Laura's wedding and is situated close to Edinburgh and the River Forth. The facilities are excellent, the castle and gardens truly beautiful and the level of service from staff was professional and first class. We used an external caterer at the wedding who were also excellent and the food was of a fine cuisine standard. Had a fantastic time at our Daughter Nicola's wedding yesterday to her lovely husband Blair. Carlowrie is a beautiful venue with stunning grounds. The whole day from start to finish was amazing. The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening buffet were absolutely delicious, compliments to the chef. A big thank you to all the staff who couldn't have been more helpful. There are not enough stars to justify our stay at Carlowrie Castle. The property is fantastic, and the castle and rooms are amazing. As soon as we arrived, we met our host Tracey. Tracey, along with the rest of our stay, made our trip unforgettable and deserves just as many stars as the venue/location. I had some thoughts about the airport being so close, but personally, we were not affected by it at all. Downtown Edinburgh is a nice 20-30 min drive away. If you are looking for a special venue with great and helpful staff, I can recommend that you contact Carlowrie Castle. We booked the venue a year ago & in that year every single person I've dealt with has been hands on & extremely helpful! Especially Jen! We had a Fri - Mon stay with the wedding on the Sat. The venue just blows your mind, it's phenomenal! The staffs kindness & friendliness was great, the 20 guests in total we had staying at the castle all had such a good laugh in such a relaxed & chilled out environment. Wedding 8 July was perfect thanks to Jen the wedding manager assigned to us for over two years of planning , the venue perfect and the most beautiful setting excellent staff all round. Carlowrie Castle was an absolute top find when we got engaged and was looking for a venue near Ratho church. As soon as we went for a visit we were blown away by its picturesque drive and grounds, let alone the art and design of the interior. We knew we didn't need to look elsewhere. 4 weeks ago now we look back on the best day in the most beautiful castle with the best of staff Jen, Beth and Gordon are outstanding and will become your friends! We also enjoyed a BBQ in the grounds the following day and an intimate dinner in the piano lounge with andy Lucas pianist - just magical! We got married here on the 2nd November 2017. Staff were amazing from the moment we arrived the night before until we left the morning after the wedding. Jen truly is a professional who made sure our day was perfect, all our guests were stunned by the castle settings, the staffs attention to detail which really made it the best day ever. Our daughter Isla wanted to celebrate her 21st birthday in Scotland and the Castle provided the perfect place. Easy to get to. Spacious. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent team to cover all required. We had a formal birthday evening dinner then next night a ceiligh evening. Contrast was perfect for the location. Fun games in the garden daytime helped recovery. An absolutely outstanding experience. Our son and our new daughter in law were married at Carlowrie Castle July 25, 2018. The renovated castle is a blend of old and new . It maintains the look and feel of it's 150 year old history, yet it has all the modern conveniences one would expect.
The staff was fantastic. Always there to enusre the bride, groom and guests were attended to.

What a truly amazing wedding weekend we had from start to finish. People cannot stop talking about it (including Becky and I, we are now “THAT” annoying couple. ) I have no doubt Carlowrie will go on to be the benchmark which every venue in Scotland will try to aim for in all aspects. I wish all the team at Carlowrie every success and will absolutely be promoting the venue to future brides and grooms so they can experience the luxury and grandeur we did.

It’s easy to find: the long driveway is a great invitation to the venue and you anticipate something special at the end of it.

Carlowrie Castle doesn’t disappoint and we were met with a warm welcome. The grounds are gorgeous, walled gardens and fountain are all stunning and a perfect venue for just relaxing in or for hosting an event like the garden party we went along to.

The bar and sitting areas are gorgeous and paintings are stunning - this quality and great style continue to the bedrooms. I have to say the stand alone copper bath with a view out to the garden is stunning and the rooms are gorgeous.

The food was delicious – I had the sea bream which was delicate and tasty and my husband enjoyed the steak – cooked to perfection. Great wine and whisky choices.

Overall an amazing venue, a real hidden gem. I really feel like someone in the know who has just come upon an amazing venue.

I am a frequent international traveller and hardly a week goes by when I am not staying in a hotel or AirBnB somewhere in the world. I was therefore very intrigued when I had the opportunity to stay for a couple of nights at Carlowrie Castle adjacent to Edinburgh airport. Very cool place. Was there for a friend's wedding, and we had a whale of a time. Rooms were spotless, really interestingly decorated and finished well. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, the grounds were immaculately manicured and even the weather was good.

Just returned from a great weekend at Carlowrie Castle with a group of my friends from London. Don't believe what the papers say, the Scots LOVE the English, we had a great time!

The staff were amazing, and catered to our every need, I will be returning soon for sure to party the nights away.
