In 2018, I made the decision to sell my house after ten years of ownership, and had a goal of selling it in 2019 as part of closing a chapter. Personally, I have several real estate agent friends who offered their services but I chose not to work with them simply to avoid any potential or unexpected conflicts and/or possibly damage any friendships. I knew that I wanted an agent that I felt comfortable with, one that would represent me with my best interest at the forefront since my primary agent that I had all my trust in had retired, and moved out of state.I started researching several agents and happened to check out an open house that was around the corner from mine out of curiosity. Here is where I first met Gerael Jones, lookin' like an Abercrombie model. I ended up carrying a lengthy conversation with him, probably annoyed him the entire time. I have a tendency to talk a lot when I haven't had conversation in a long time. Haha!When the new year came, I invited Gerael to stop by my house to see it. He gave me his sales pitch on why he's the best to work with, but what I saw out of other agents was the effort he made into expressing why I should choose him. He sold himself, his confidence, not his sales experience in my eyes, and there was something about him that made me feel comfortable to invest my time into working with him. I have been with Carlile for just about 6 months and after I have learned what this company is about, I wouldn't see myself anywhere else. From the time I've met the president of the company, Taylor Greer, he has not only been an encouraging mentor but a positive role model. He influences me to stay committed to the task at hand and offers excellent advice. He brings this and more to his company and to the other employees that work with him. I think its imperative to understand the character of the person who started the company if you want to truly understand the quality and ethics of the company itself. In today's sellers market, you need to be armed with the best real-time market information. Taylor provided this and more, with excellent market insight and negotiation strategies to ensure that our offer was accepted.  As soon as we were in contract, with a quick 20 day close, Taylor exceeded our expectations. If there were 10 stars to give that's exactly what I would give to Taylor Greer and his team at Carlile Properties. Weeks before traveling from Texas to California to house hunt, Taylor invested time in learning what we were looking for and began a preliminary search. Multiple times each week prior to our visit, we received listings and updates on similar listings via email. Based on those listings, we provided Taylor feedback on the houses we liked and/or disliked which gave him a better sense of what we were looking for. By the time we met up with him, he had 6 houses for us to see.
