Our family had a amazing dinner here tonight! Papa greeted us at the door with hi fives to our 2 sons. They loved this place! The food was amazing and VERY authentic! Papa made us feel like we were in his home! Great conversation and stories while we waited for our food. After we finished and were leaving he even put our coats on for us! My wife and I and our 2 daughters were one of the last customer's before Naz and family were closing down for once in a lifetime pilgrimage. We had dinner here tonight looking for some spicy food that was gluten free. Being real fans of jerk spice and curries, we were delighted to find Caribbean Flavas! We shared the jerk chicken and chicken curry with cashews and coconut. Both were extremely flavourful with generous portions. It is such a relief to know that everything there is gluten free except the naan bread and coconut cake!We were amused to hear the spice levels which began with “tingle” and ended with “double cry”. HahaThe owner, who introduced himself as Papa was very friendly and informative about Fredericton. Chef Naz spoke with us and went out of his way to introduce us to friends of his who were visiting. Once again me and my husband were not disappointed with this place. Not too many places are involved with there customers like they are. Refreshing dining experience each time there. The food is excellent with a choice of spice level you ask for. Jerk chicken was moist with the spice level right on what I requested. The vegetables were so good. My wife enjoyed the local grass feed lamb. We stopped by because it was a) so close to our AirBnB b) it was well rated c) we like food with a kick.Wow! The restaurant demonstrates why it has such a high rating right from the start with attentive staff, a friendly host, great food recommendations, terrific appetizer (samosas like you have never had them with phyllo and a spicy sauce), kick-a$$ jerk chicken and a spicy veg and chicken jambalaya. The heat choices are tingle, sweat and *breathing fire* (Seriously, I can't remember the last choice).Sweat made me sweat alright - between my eyebrows... lol. It was terrific! A lassi was required as a fire extinguisher to take the heat down a notch so I could continue to enjoy!!! Honestly amazing. You're greeted like you're a regular, even if it's your first time there. The service was wonderful, as was the food. They ask you how spicy you like your food and work with it perfectly. Very happy with the service (personable!) and the food! The jerk wings were excellent! Spicy and flavourful. The stirfry was fantastic. Great presentation. Try Mama's iced tea. Such great reviews online, which are worth heeding! Check out the menu for all of the endorsements from celebrities. Wheelchair accessible too. The owners are so welcoming, excellent service. The food is simply Amazing, so is the coffee and the ice tea, definitly going again even though we live 9 hours drive away! Best restaurant experience ever!! Thank to the owners for everything!!
