I have been using Care and Choice to provide live in care for my Mother for 4 years now. The agency provides a very personal service ensuring they meet, in person, all their clients and carers, before taking them on their books, in order to be able to seek out the best possible carer/client match. Carers are required to have necessary relevant experience and training. All the staff at Care and Choice are a pleasure to deal with, whether on the phone or by email, and they all work very well together as a team. Their admin processes are robust, keeping records up to date, especially in the event that the client's situation or requirements may change. For every potential booking the client receives a short biography and photo of the suggested carer. If the client is interested, Care and Choice coordinate a follow-up phone call. If both parties are in agreement to go ahead, the client will receive confirmation of the carer's assignment with a booking form. Care and Choice deliver a very thorough service, and pay attention to all relevant details, such as the client's daily routine, hobbies, medical, mental and physical needs, so that the carer has a good idea of what to expect prior to arrival. We have some carers that have been returning to care for my Mother for about 3 years. Not once have Care and Choice let us down by not managing to find us a carer, even with very short lead times, and for busy periods such as at Christmas and New Year. We believe that you should be making the choices about your care arrangements and that our job is simply to help you do that. Our agency is founded on the principle that Caregivers and the people they care for should choose each other for a comfortable and easy working partnership and that the best approach is to select only the highest quality Caregivers and then let those seeking support and those Caregivers choose each other. We believe that giving the Client the opportunity to view a selection of Caregivers who match their needs, rather than being sent a Caregiver who is available, but may not share any personal interest with the Client, fosters a trusting relationship from the very first engagement upon which a mutually beneficial partnership continues to develop.
Our primary objective is to put the needs of the Client and the Caregiver first and through a quality ongoing recruitment process increase the care choice that is available. Whilst pre Covid we preferred to visit our Clients in person to discuss any individual requirements to help us make the best match, we are happy to help with your search for the ideal Caregiver through any of todays remote communication methods, email, phone, Skype, Facetime or WhatsApp.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the Coronavirus outbreak the Governments advise has been to remain at home. Our Caregivers help our Clients to do just that. Having a Caregiver provide one to one care in the comfort of your own home could be considered far safer than staying in a Care home where Clients are exposed to a greater number of people.
Live in Care could also be considered safer than having drop in Carers where Clients are exposed to numerous visits in a day.
Our Caregivers follow Government guidelines and take great care to keep their Clients and themselves safe. To date ( December 2020) we have not had one Case of Covid 19 amongst either our Clients or our Caregivers.
