I cannot recommend CBC highly enough! From my first appointment the staff have been very friendly and made me feel comfortable. I'm always greeted warmly and everyone there is so helpful. I've been seeing Ben for around 6 weeks now and from my first visit I was blown away by how he knew exactly what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. I go in with pain and stiffness and come out feeling amazing every time! I have a really quite rare brain condition - in the summer I got to the point in my life where at 35 my only option from 5 medical consultants to stop me falling over spontaneously was brain surgery that had some pretty horrid side affects. Ben can’t possibly reverse my condition but he’s allowed me to go from a place where I truly believed that within the next 2 years to maintain any chance of “normal” life function was pain surgery to now seeing a future where surgery could never come in my eyes. Ben never promised me a cure, he just asked me to trust him. I’m a typically sceptical person by nature but it works, it’s freaky I lie on bed I don’t need to speak Ben will know where the pain is and can always give relief - I haven’t verbally said what’s wrong that day! It’s simply amazing! I don’t know where I would be now with my rate of decline earlier this year if I hadn’t found Ben! I suffered a prolapsed disc 7 years ago and the pains and struggles I experienced that first year were excruciating. This caused my whole lumbar and cervical region to become misaligned and disproportionate. It was only after a friend of a friend recommended me to Dr Ben and his team that I went back to chiropractic treatment. I had gone to chiropractors previously in the past to get adjusted and was ultimately dubious but after being a patient with Dr Ben now for 6 years I will never change again and never look back. After living for so many years with a horrific bad back and chronic elbow pain, numerous trips to the doctors and hospitals for pain relieve and injections that were not working at all. I honestly and still do believe that I was gonna have to give up a job that I love and have a lot of passion in doing.
I had listened to friends stories about Dr Ben Matthews and as my friends who I trust very much insisted that I go and get my back seen to by Ben, I thought I'd give it a go, My thoughts were if local doctors and hospital specialists can't help me I haven't got a lot of help and I started looking for an easier job, the following weeks from there I visited Cardiff bay chiropractor to start my -only to describe at the time (my last hope).
Over the next couple of months I could not believe the change in me, how really well I felt inside and out, no more pain in my elbows, I know I couldn't believe it either, after years of steroid injections and blood injections and pain killers that the General Practitioner had forced upon me, in a matter of weeks Dr Ben had sorted. My lower back pain has eased considerably over the last year, it's not 100% but I don't need to wear a weightlifting belt when I'm working anymore. I don't take painkillers at all now and have been to the doctors once in 14 months, wow as I wrote that it still brings a tear to my eye how my life has turned around in 14 months.
Right from day one everything was explained to me in great detail, not once have I ever felt uncomfortable in asking any questions at CardiffBayChiropractic to anyone of the staff there, always a warm welcome.
I come home everyday now feeling emotional and thankful than Dr Ben has truly changed my life around, and I thank him and all his staff from the bottom of my heart.
I will continue to use CardiffBayChiropractic forever and continue to tell my story to friends and family in order for them to make there own decision in going for chiropractic help.

Ok. This is fantastic, i have had back pain and i have neglected it for long time, thinking that it will go away on its own. Recently it became unbearable and it was irritating me to the point where I can’t stand or sit in the same position for more than 2 minutes (that’s how bad it was). My boss at work referred me to Ben and his medical centre and I cannot thank him enough for that. The guys at Cardiff Bay Chiropractor had my spine x-rayed and they even had a neurological scan for my nerve system (they get deep and personal with you so you get to explain how the pain affects you and certain aspects of your life). After that, i was told that i need 3 sessions a week. And honest to god.. this is the second week and i feel that the pain is gone by 60-70%!! Totally impressed!! I am now able to sit down and work on my dissertation again...i am able to function in my life normally as compared to what i felt before; I realised that my back pain was affecting almost everything in my life (depression, emotional swings, fatigue, excess sleeping and overall energy levels), i feel that am reborn again just from 2 weeks of treatment!!! I'm glad that Cardiff and it's people have Ben Matthew DC (Doctor of Certainty) available to help, care love and assist in them regaining their health and lives. I've visited his centre a few times and everything about it is dedicated to helping other people. I met people there that he was helping, who were or had been suffering (!) with lots of unpleasant problems that were severely reducing their quality of life. People visiting his clinic spoke very highly of him indeed when they could see that I also am a fellow Chiropractor visiting to learn from a leader and role model of Chiropractors. When I moved to Cardiff from Dallas, Texas, in October 2015, I found myself in need of a highly-skilled chiropractor, preferably one with a 'neuro' background, like the one whom I'd been seeing in the states. I have several chronic neck issues and Dr Ben Mathew came highly recommended.

I became a patient of Dr Ben's in January 2016 and have been seeing him almost weekly since then. I cannot praise him or his staff highly enough. I am currently receiving treatment for old injuries which have impacted on my spine, I have been in pain for 2 years and have seen other chiropractors & physios and have seen no joy. . In just 2 treatments here I am already seeing results and on the road to recovery.. Words can't do justice what Ben has done for my whole family, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. My daughter was pretty much written off by the NHS specialist after several years of pain, but genuinely after only 2 weeks seeing Ben there was no pain, nothing, he'd diagnosed the problem and simply fixed it. I came here because I had been trying the hospital all my life and getting nowhere. The surprising part is that I'm getting better in areas I didn't think would be affected by seeing a chiropractor. My left leg was about 2 inches shorter and now my legs are the same length. I also been diagnosed with a schatzki ring ( a narrowing of the oesophagus from scar tissue ) I've had this since child hood and it's not pleasant. I've officially been coming to the practise since the second week of February this year. After being diagnosed with scoliosis and a rare blood condition I lost all hope with my health. After various painful treatments and medication my health, body & mind was at an all time low.

With doctors not offering me any help to get myself back up I decided to ring the Cardiff bay Chiropractic centre. That phone call has officially changed my life.

I'm now a very vibrant 19 year old and I finally feel I have my life and health back. After a very long 5 years.

Since attending I've seen huge improvements in areas I didn't expect, as well as those I did! From knee problems I've had for 12 years to my menstrual cycle and of course the neck and shoulder pain that was such a daily gripe I didn't realise how bad it was. Ben and the team at CBC are truly wonderful and I would highly recommend them. When I first saw Ben many years ago I had huge issues with my sciatic nerve making physical activity extremely painful and general mobility a struggle. 10 years ago I was desperate for an answer to why I was having headaches and vomiting. GPs suggested I have my wisdom teeth out, which I did. .under GA, MRIs, Xrays... nothing showed...
& nothing got better. A locum GP suggested I see a chiropractor but, wasn't allowed to suggest one to me....
So...I went to CBC. After a standing Xray and scans, Ben discovered a hairline fracture at the base of my neck after a head on car crash in 2000, & that I had adjusted my posture, alignment & everything else that went with it for 7 years to compensate for the pain & discomfort. My treatment under Dr Benny began. Bye bye vomiting. So long headaches!!
Since then, he has cared for my my family. My son since he was 5, with slight scoliosis & maintenance - and my husband- who was prescribed 3 months of Nepraxen by his GP for pain... or...we opted for 4 weeks of treatment & maintenance from Ben.
Not only is Ben outstanding, caring and passionate about PREVENTATIVE care, health and wellbeing, but his team and the clinic provide A * service.

After living with severe back pain along with sciatica due to a prolapsed disc in my lower back for over 2 and a half years resulting in late trips to a&e being on strong pain killers day in day out,in tears with the pain, on a long waiting list for surgery. A friend of a friend told me about Benny Mathew in Cardiff I was a bit sceptical at first as i had tried everything thing going with no results and left feeling let down loosing trust. I was coming to the end of my tether that nothing was going to work,and that I would have to accept that I would have to go for surgery,to be pain free. I always had Cardiff chiropractic in the back of my head that I needed to give it a go as one final try as my last hope! whilst I waited on the surgical waiting list. But from past experiences I just questioned would it work?. A few weeks later I bumped in to the lady that told my friend for me to go to Cardiff bay Chiropractic as she had been going herself. she told me that day I would not look back! and that stuck in my mind! I was straight on the phone to make to make the call . Little did I know back then that call was the turning point in my life for the better the best decision I'd ever made! I'm so glad I bumped in to her on that day it was almost as if it was fait . It's been 9 months on now and I can finally say my life has turned around for the better I'm going back to work and having some normality again! I can wave surgery goodbye. My leg pain has diminished to almost nothing I feel my limp is hardly noticeable when walking, and I'm getting on better with daily things without having to stop to reach for the pain killers! to get me through the day as before I would be in agony! Ben has literally saved my life after being told by an Orthopaedic surgeon that there was nothing they could do for me and to go away and live with it. I was on maximum doses of Gabapentin amytriptilene and tramadol and co-codamol. Nothing woukd kill the pain. Within three months of treatment i was off all medication and back in work. My back is still temperamental and the collapse, which was never accurately identified by the NHS, will still slip out of place but regular treatments keep it stable and my life is so much better. My teenage son has been given his life back, having had epilepsy for the last two years, not controlled by the medication prescribed which had awful side effects. What Dr Ben said about my son's neck and spine putting stress on his nervous system made sense and healing from the epilepsy became a reality. My son has gone from strength to strength and has almost returned to how he was before the epilepsy began, confident, happy, running around after our dogs and hens, laughing and joking, optimistic about his future. We have no doubts that he will totally heal in time with continued chiropractic care.

I started going to Cardiff Bay Chiropractic a few months ago, and have found the whole experience excellent. There are several chiropractors at this practise, and on the first day that you arrive you are assigned your own personal chiropractor who conducts various tests (including x-rays), and then you will be given an assessment of what needs "doing". It's not just a case of spine adjustments, but also the caring and helpful advice given as well. My own personal "mentor" is James Deady whose help and advice has proved invaluable as well as very re-assuring.
The staff are always very helpful too. First class outfit.
