Ahhhhhmazing photographer!!! Fun, personable and creative. We (my husband and I, along with my best friend) did both a morning shoot a sunset shoot in November. Got the pictures today and we can't be more excited!! They turned out great!! Catherine is so very easy to work with, both before ever getting to the island and once there and planning out where and when! If we ever get back to Grand Cayman, we'll be scheduling with her again....and hopefully someday she'll make it here to the Pacific NW, then we could do a shoot here too!! Catherine is a great photographer. We originally meet her on Stingray sailing were she was the ship's professional photographer and took some amazing pictures. When we planned a trip back to Grand Cayman we knew we wanted to hire Catherine for a family portrait session on the beach. Catherine exceed our expectations and did a great job taking the pictures. She is so easy going to work with and does great with kids. We had so much fun we continued the fun with her after the photoshoot for drinks and dinner at a local restaurant. Fantastic tour aboard the Far Tortuga, the "Stingray Sailing" vessel. Catherine was first mate on this trip out to the sand bar and reef, and also our ship's professional photographer. The pictures she took of my wife and I (all all of the others in our sailing group) were fun, silly, lovely and just simply perfect! Catherine is a great photographer and a great person too, and we were pleased to get to know her during this trip. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Composition. Making sure there is a story behind the frame without over posing. Painting with light is the essence of a beautiful photograph and being able to do this whilst making your subject comfortable and relaxed can be a challenge but that’s what we live for!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
- I always ask for a brief so we can then hit the drawing board for ideas and inspiration. What does the client want out of the session and the style they like is also very important.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people memories and capturing the beauty of life!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own Business in the Cayman Islands and after 9 beautiful years there I have come back for the UK to settle here. I love being my own boss to let my creative mind have no restrictions.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a very bubbly and positive character and I really just make it fun for all involved. I like to accommodate my clients in the best way possible and I make it very relaxed and comfortable.
