We could not be happier with how our floors turned out. This was a large project as we had to have 2000 square feet of old floors demo'd and install of new hardwood floors, including stairs. Moved into a new house where we installed new unfinished maple hardwood all through out. Hired someone initially who took 7 weeks to just finish the upstairs (Mike Griffin - do NOT use him) . Not only was that timing unacceptable but he charged almost double what every one else quoted and banged up all my walls which we had to repaint. I then called capital city and they gave me a much more affordable quote to finish the first floor in addition to timing that they stuck too (3 days). After being able to compare the 2 jobs, I noticed how the upstairs didn't get puddy in the cracks and it's extremely noticeable compared to the first floor.We were extremely pleased with capital citys attention to details and sticking to their word which is a rarity in construction. Josh and Kenny came in and saved the day for us. I cannot recommend them enough! Incredibly professional, clean and focused - took them less than a week to finish our house (first floor, second floor and stairs). They were extremely transparent throughout the process regarding costs, timing and materials. The floors turned out to be amazing and we have received a handful of compliments just in the first week alone. We are so thankful for Capital City Floors and the work Josh did! We bought an older home that had original oak floors under carpet for 90 years. Josh was quick to return my call with a scheduled time to estimate the job for us. He was friendly, trustworthy and a very hard worker most of all! He worked with us to complete the job before the move in date even though it meant late nights for him. He refinished an entire 1900 sq. foot home in 4 days! He didn't cut corners and was very honest through the whole process about expectations and cost of supplies. I would hire them again in a heart beat! First 3 pictures are before. Our floors had a faded around windows, decided to refinish. Capital City Floors scheduled us quickly (small area that included dining room, kitchen and entrances). We recently purchased our first home, a bit of a fixer upper. The biggest thing that needed attention was the natural hardwood floors. The previous owner attempted to sand and re-finish the floor themselves. It was an absolute disaster. Josh, Joe and crew were able to come in a make our floors looks like they were brand new. Let me start off by saying I’m never one to write reviews, but we were blown away with Capital City Flooring! Not only did the floors look beyond beautiful but they did a house full of hardwood it a timely and clean fashion. Josh was who did ours and he was feeling miserable from a cold but never complained once and finished a day earlier than expected. If you guys don’t use this company you are truly missing out! After a difficult experience with another contractor, Josh was willing to accommodate us on short notice and restore our floors. What provided such a great experience was Josh’s ability to successfully communicate with us throughout the whole process. Josh and Capital City Floors are the best in Columbus to work with, this is my second time working with Capital City Floors, the first time was to sand and re-stain the entire house, this time was for new install in a brand new kitchen. Capital City Floors exudes professionalism. The oak floors in my home were horribly urine stained/damaged/feathered...they were an absolute hot mess. ..seriously...one of the worst floors I've ever seen. Josh came out to my home and provided me with a free estimate, and really listened to my wants of trying to go natural, he was very up front and honest with me that they would do their best to work with the urine stains but it might not work out...alas despite all the sanding, a few days later we decided that stain was absolutely necessary. He had me come over and we tried out a few colors to test them with my paint, he was very patient and offered his opinion on the colors but wasn't pushy about telling me what to do. Being a realtor it is so important that timelines are met. I had my parents coming to town the weekend after they started and they promised they would have my floors done before the move and they absolutely delivered! I think Josh stayed there until 2am the last night and was texting me pictures of the progress (he had phenomenal communication throughout the entire process) he said "I made a promise and we will have them done." Their customer service is top notch and the quality of work they do is superb. My lovely floors have most definitely turned my condo into a home. Thank you Capital City Floors!! More...
