I always thought I had a reasonably solid swing, playing to a 13 handicap for the last few years. I couldn't believe what I saw on camera - which, in my opinion, made me much more receptive to taking direction on swing basics and set-up. Jon is very patient, (despite being hit in the face with my 6-iron!!!), and is able to communicate in a very understandable way.
Everyone is different, every swing is different, but it's my view that the combination of Jon's teaching skill and the swing studio set up are invaluable to all...so much so I booked a package of 6 lessons.

This is simply the best way to learn how to play golf because you can actually see what you're doing wrong. Your swing is captured on video and then is compared to a professional golfer's so you can see what you need to improve upon. I could never put it all together before and considered it a miracle if I even connected wall the ball. But with Jon's teaching techniques and very patient manner I feel I'm making real progress. I can't recommend this place enough and I'm really looking forward to playing a round in the simulator this winter with a few friends. More...

My wife and I booked a course of lessons with Jon at Cannon Golf after being hugely impressed during the free lesson that they are currently offering prior to booking. I have a handicap of 16 and my wife has been playing for about a year.

The indoor simulator is very accurate and the cameras enable Jon to quickly show you what you are doing right and wrong and to compare with the pros to demonstrate good practice. Jon does not over-complicate the points he puts across and he is very good at explaining things simply. The drills we have been given to work on between lessons are very helpful.

I would recommend Cannon Golf very highly whether you are a beginner, a scratch golfer or somewhere inbetween. Jon is an excellent teacher and we are both seeing the benefit of his coaching already. More...

As a beginner I was quite nervous about taking some golf lessons, however I shouldn't have worried as the experience has been very positive.

Jon is very positive and gives you lots of simple, straightforward advice. He uses a good range of visuals to demonstrate good techniques. At the same time he manages to build your confidence.

I would recommend Cannon Golf to anyone who is hoping to improve their game. More...
