I love the staff and the pool for my dog. Bruschi is 10 yrs with some arthritis. I wanted him to get more exercise that wouldn’t make his arthritis flare up. The staff is wonderful and he’s taken well to it. He likes to swim but is not a natural retriever but will swim out for toys and bring them back. He seems to like it more each time we come back :) More...

We started at Canine New England in May. My 11 year old lab, Macy tore her ACL. Unfortunately, not a candidate for surgery she wasnt putting any weight on it. After a few appointments with Patti (laser and underwater treadmill sessions) she has been walking on it! She was just fitted for an orthopedic brace that will help her stabilize her right leg so it doesn't happen to the left side. I cant say enough good things about this place or the staff! I give it 100 stars! More...

My dog was very nervous and by the end of the session he felt a little more at ease. he even started relaxing with the water treadmill. So glad that the canine joint was suggested to me for doggie PT. I highly recommend taking your dog there if needed More...

I really can’t say enough good things about Patti and everyone at the Canine Joint. I brought my 16 and 1/2 year old dog in after he had a back injury this winter. Though he was active for his age leading up to his injury, I really wasn’t sure what his future looked like. Patti’s confidence in him at his initial assessment set me at ease immediately and her belief in him never wavered. After 4 weeks of underwater treadmill, laser therapy, and acupuncture (huge shoutout to Deanna!), he was about 90% back to himself and last week, at 12 weeks out, he hiked 3 miles in the Blue Ridge Mountains and loved every second of it. As a veterinary technician of 12 years, I can’t recommend the Canine Joint enough for post op or rehab therapy for any dog. They are so wonderful and I am so thankful for all that they do! More...

We spent an enjoyable afternoon at the indoor DockDogs pool. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They even put on waders and got into the pool, to help a friends puppy learn to swim. The pool and dock were sparkling clean and in perfect condition. It's best to call ahead to verify times and availability. The owner and staff are very profesional. In addition to the indoor pool, there is a large adjacent indoor agility layout. The agility equipment and area were also well maintained, clean and in perfect conditon. We passed rooms dedicated to additional canine services and a small store. There is a good amount of off street parking in the private lot. It was a short walk into the building, with no street crossings. My only regret is not living closer to this place. More...

I can't say enough about the staff and services provided by Canine New England. My French Bulldog had two major surgeries in the span of a year and they've helped us navigate the difficult rehabilitation process. Between the laser, massage, hydrotherapy and rehab exercises, I truly believe these services have helped my dog heal faster and strengthen herself to help prevent further injury. My girl is very timid and has really opened up to the entire staff. She's gone from hiding in the corner to running into the treatment rooms to get her services. Thank you Canine NE! More...

The owners and staff are very knowledgeable in their fields, providing expert advice on fitness training, conditioning and rehab. They offer canine massage, acupuncture and chiropractic treatments. The classes are well run by experienced trainers who will bring you and your dog to your highest capabilities, no matter your area of interest. The Agility field is one of the best turfs we’ve run on, classes are taught by a highly skilled Agility instructor and competitor, Beth Szczygiel. I highly recommend the canine joint if your pup needs any kind of physical therapy!! Our 10 month old mix, Izzy, has been diagnosed with significant hip dysplasia. I brought her to The Canine Joint and Patty has been working with her for about a month. She is working to strengthen her muscles and decrease inflammation in the hip joints. Patty uses laser therapy, under water treadmill as well as “obstacle course” type exercises for her! We are hoping to get Izzy swimming in the big pool, that will be a slow process since she didn’t like to swim in our pool or pond last summer. She’s doing great on the treadmill! Izzy may end up having a total hip replacement, so strengthening her muscles now, will help with her recovery later! Patty is very knowledgeable and great with the dogs!! I highly recommend the Canine Joint in Walpole! More...

A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE! I've been bringing my arthritic and hip displaced 16 year old lab here (who could hardly walk) for almost two months. After doing the initial consult with Patti I was extremely impressed in how intuitive/understanding she was of my dog (whom she had never met before) and her knowledge of the canine body on a scientific level. I'm always a little weary of new things but I decided to roll the dice not knowing what I was getting into. I stuck to the recommended program (but increased the frequency to get a "jump start", my decision) and put my faith in the Canine Joint and within 30 days I was starting to feel like I was getting my dog back. Since then, we've witnessed him run (it's not often, and only for a few strides, but it's a "did you see that" moment), he's started taking interest in the tennis ball again, he's become a lot more alert and independent outside and on walks, and most importantly he's hardly showing signs of pain anymore!!! He's starting to act like the happy full of life dog I always knew and loved. People normally would put their dog down given his condition, but after the improvement we've seen in the last 60 days (physically and mentally), I'm sticking with this till he tells me it's time........ **Side note, I am extremely impressed with the integrity and friendliness of the staff. These people truly wear their hearts on their sleeves when dealing with both "the patients" and customers alike. More...

Robin gave her a nice massage after. She was also very gentle and patient with my girl who’s not very fond of being handled by other people. I was so happy with our experience that we pre-booked another appointment for next month! So grateful for such an awesome facility that offers so much and it’s relatively close to home. Q&As

The success of training is most rewarding when the dog & the handler/owner are connecting & having fun together. We love getting feedback about successful training sessions & how each team can learn, communicate & continue to challenge themselves as handlers.

With over 25 years in dog training as a second job, the opportunity to share my experience & partner with a seasoned canine rehabilitation business was the perfect way to venture into a new business profile.

Each dog/handler we interact with, will learn new methods of foundation training, using a simple approach, positive reinforcement & common sense tools. Many clients want options to teach foundation behaviors & then continue with other activities - within Canine New England, we offer foundation, fitness & performance for all levels, canine & handler alike.
