They were so wonderful! Â We didn't know exactly what we wanted or needed when we went in to talk to them about flowers for our wedding, but they were great at walking us through what we wanted and helping us find some beautiful flowers in our price range, as well as offering lots of options and pictures to help us choose the look we were going for. Â I loved my bouquet and those of my bridesmaids, and the boutonnieres we ordered were just beautiful and lasted even through the heat of an outdoor wedding. April and her team did a phenomenal job with my wedding florals! Their arrangements, bouquets and boutonnières were absolutely stunning. The flowers were everything I imagined they would be and more. I had sent pictures to April during the early stages of planning my wedding of a general idea of what I wanted my florals to look like. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Planning an event where you need some flowers and a knowledgable person to help you along the way...you just found it! April is the best. Not only will she work within your budget, she will be VERY honest with you regarding what flowers work best for the type of event, type of year and how long they will last. The flowers for my wedding exceeded my expectations and lasted for weeks after. She was great at working with my budget and getting me everything I wanted. As a bride my top three list of things that were really important to me were cake, flowers and food!!!! I used candle light and roses at the recommendation of another vendor. I live out of the area and did most of my work with April from a distance. She was amazing! My flowers were perfect! I had a vision! I found something "close" I sent her a picture with notes on what I wanted to change. When I arrived to meet with her in person and drop off my centerpiece jars just a few days before the wedding she showed me my flowers because they had just arrived! They were stunning and EXACTLY what I dreamed of!!! When I arrived at the venue day of the wedding and saw them perfectly put together I was amazed. She is terrific at what she does! Her flowers are top quality and if you have a vision she will make it come alive. My bridal bouquet was perfect as well. It wasn't super heavy but it was large, and skillfully arranged. I kept carting it around because I really didn't want to set it down! It was the perfect compliment to my dress and was everything I wanted down to the ribbon wrap. My cabbage roses were a special request because my grandmother grew them when I was a child and it was my way of having her with me and the ones she ordered were spot in based on a description! She knows her flowers and her love of what she does shows!!! My Chuppah flowers were also stunning! I kept getting compliment after compliment of all the lovely flowers. She did such an amazing job. April was amazing! I used her for my wedding flowers. Before deciding to order, I had met with a few other flower vendors who told me names of flowers they thought would work for my wedding and didn't care what I wanted. April asked questions, found out what flowers I liked, what ideas I had, etc. She also suggested flowers I had never heard of. I showed her a few bouquets and she was able to make it work, while still giving me something unique. Not only did April help out in advance she also helped last minute. I had a few last minute changes with the wedding and sent her an updated order but accidentally left out two people who needed boutonnieres. She wasn't upset and made both happen before the wedding. What everyone is probably wondering... was it expensive? No! Honestly for the quality and service she over delivered and the price was lower than I expected. Again I had shopped around before and everyone had given me a price but April got me flowers I wanted, a bouquet size I was happy with and a price that couldn't be beat. I intern for April at candlelight and she is the BEST! She is so knowledgeable, organized, thorough and not to mention hilarious! She makes what can be a stressful time for people so relaxed and effortless. I have learned so much from her in such a short time and continue to learn and be pushed every wedding. I corresponded with April to see her wedding venue in Genoa. She was super friendly and attentive despite the chaos of turning an old pizza place to a wedding venue. When I met with her, she was so nice and willing to answer any question to the best of her ability. The way she was multitasking showing me (and Max) the venue and manage her phone and oversee the construction was awesome. While the venue wasn't what Max and I were looking for, it was a nice venue, and I hope I get to attend a future wedding there to see all of April's efforts. More...

I found this place from here on Yelp and decided to try them out. I placed a late request for flower basket delivery late last night online. When I was choosing a basket it is required to be placed one day in advance so I have to setup the delivery date for a later date, I ended up ordering take the chance of getting it delivered late. I decided to call early in the morning (8am) today to see if I'm able to make my request of getting the flower delivered today. I believe April was her name called me back within 15-20mins after I called. Which I was surprised that the call back was fast because according to there business hours it said they are open 10a-5p. Anyways the customer service was great! April made sure that what ever I needed she took care of without hesitation! I'm very satisfied with the results on how everything got handed! I would give 10 stars if I could! I'm so late in writing this, but better late then never. I hired April as my wedding coordinator, as well as to do the simple flowers for my wedding. I could not have been happier!! She was the best money I spent on my wedding. Plus, she's super fun to be around! In just a few phone calls and emails, she completely understood the vision for my wedding. Though I hired her for just day-of coordinating, she helped out months in advance - ensuring all the other vendors were settled, and on track. For my bouquets, I sent her a few photos of what I was looking for, and she absolutely NAILED it while keeping it within my budget. The weekend of my wedding could not have gone more perfect thanks to April. Our rehearsal was super quick and easy. The day of, I handed her my list of items, and multiple boxes of decorations. Without my micro-management (which I typically tend to do), she put everything together BEAUTIFULLY AND THEN SOME! The way she put together the decorations for my dessert table, as well as for the dinner tables, were stunning. Like I said, she completely got the vision I was going for and executed it flawlessly! I own and run a small business myself, and I have very high standards for customer service, availability to clients, and honest business practices. April blew me away on every occasion. She was our day-of coordinator for the wedding, and we also hired her to handle the flowers.I cannot say enough great things about April and Candlelight and Roses. We met her when we picked out venue last summer, and before we had even seen the venue option she was already going above and beyond for us. Through the entire wedding planning process she always answered her phone, knew our wedding details off the top of her head, gave us fantastic advice about what to look for in vendors, the right questions to ask and pitfalls to avoid. She was never pushy, never tried to sell us anything and let us make all of our own decisions while providing support, guidance and great advice. By the time the day of the wedding came we were so well prepared that both my husband and I, and our families were able to fully enjoy the day without having to worry about anything. The day went smoothly, the few issues that came up she handled swiftly and without stress and we didn't even know there was an issue until it was already resolved. Friends and family all warned me ahead of time that no bride is ever fully happy with how the wedding day goes. Brides seem to know every little thing that went wrong, and wishes that at least some things had gone differently. I can truly say that looking back there was not a single thing about the wedding day that myself, my husband or my family would have changed at all. We were able to relax and enjoy the incredibly experience of a wedding, without any event-related stress at all. She does everything from helping to set up, she makes the floral arrangements, and helps with the rehearsal and runs the actual day. She is the master of all things wedding and has a ton of great ideas. I was completely calm because she took care of anything so well. I hired April, from Candlelight & Roses to do the flowers and invitations for my wedding. And she did an amazing job. I had a color scheme, but am not well versed in flowers and didn't have the time to research all of the options, so I presented my ideas and let her run with it. The flowers for the bouquets were beautiful and preserved incredibly well. The flowers for the center pieces and the candelabras were absolutely gorgeous. The invitations were lovely and classy. They arrived exactly as pictured, and on time, just as April had said. She had a great selection and offers a discount if you buy both flowers and invitations through her.Everything was done well and in a professional manner. I absolutely loved my flowers from here. The bridesmaid's flowers were beautiful, my bouquet was lovely, the men's boutineers were beautiful, and the mother's hand corsages were great as well. The flowers were fresh when they arrived and stayed that way the whole weekend. Â I would totally recommend this place to anyone getting married or any other event.
