We used Cameron's Catering for the second year in a row for our holiday party. They are very easy to work with and conveniently dropped off and picked up the food and supplies. Each dish was arranged and set up on our buffet table for our guests. The food was delicious! We did heavy appetizers and it was more than generous with portion sizes. WOW! I called several catering companies to see if they could do a Turkey for my family for Thanksgiving, after speaking to the Owner, Susanne (not sure if I spelled correctly) I was impressed at the level of professionalism and care that my inquiry was addressed with. We required special prep/ cook of the Turkey because of our religious practices. She was kind and did her best to accommodate. I showed up at their location to deliver something for the meal they were preparing for me and finally had a chance to meet her and some of the staff. I was amazed at how nice and friendly they all were. Obviously these folks love what they do and where they do it. I can see why they have great reviews. I was thoroughly impressed at how well I was treated, I usually don't have great luck with customer service in my day to day experiences so I figured when you find it, tell someone!A+ to the staff of Cameron catering. Can’t wait to taste the Turkey and I will update!Update to original review. The turkey turned out wonderful. They even made us gravy with it from scratch which we didn't expect so our traditional Thanksgiving meal couldn't have gone better. Cameron Catering stands out from the pack. Seriously-- as good as it gets. While planning our wedding, our intention was to have a classy, elegant, relaxed dinner party with good food. We were recommended to Cameron Catering by a photographer who had worked a similar past function with them. We worked together with Justine. She helped us plan the food but also the flow of the wedding including all details like centerpieces, layouts, resetting the room, where to place gifts, different tables for the ceremony. It was so easy. Justine made sure that our considerations were taken into consideration, as well as given suggestions from her view of what would allow everything to work seamlessly. Everything was taken care of and worked out with the venue from their end. They even worked in cakes that we ordered from a bakery as well as some Indian food --she even got the details of the dish and made wonderful signs to indicate what was in each dish. We and our guests showed up and everything had been taken care of.Now, the best part was the food. At the sample meal, they had set the table up and served each and every dish they suggested, as well as others that we requested. Everything was delicious. We even had leftovers. We gave our leftovers to other people and they wanted more. In my years of living in Seattle, there are few meals I have had as good as this. There was a chicken with lemon, wonderful (not floppy) root vegetables, lightly dressed kale salad - a lot of it using great seasonal produce. Everyone we talked to at the wedding commented on the food. People came over to mention how good it was- multiple times, unprompted. A few days later, when my husband visited my workplace and they were still talking about how great the wedding and the food was. I have been to weddings where the food was probably good after it was cooked... but not great when you get it from the buffet. Here, it was good throughout--- how did they do it?! And we didn't end up with too many leftovers!The staff were completely gracious -also out of sight during the ceremony, barely visible during the dinner but always seemed to be available when needed. Justine even came to make sure she gave her well wishes. At the end of the night, the only thing we needed to do was to pick up our belongings.The total time that we spent in planning and tasting was probably no more than 2 and a bit hours. All negotiations were always transparent and FAST-- and she even made suggestions about how to make it fit our budget without compromising what we wanted. Our intention of a great dinner party was fulfilled with a great deal of ease and at a completely reasonable price point. If I plan any sort of event with food, I will be giving Justine a call. We used Cameron Catering at our wedding reception for 90 people at the Arboretum and the experience was absolutely fantastic. With a relatively short timeline until our event, Amy made everything run super smoothly. She was such an easy going and wonderful person to work with.  After researching a few other catering companies, I appreciated the organization and up front nature of the quote. I had to ask other catering companies for the same information and additional costs that Cameron Catering provided up front! Amy set up a lovely sample menu to work within our budget and expectations. She also worked with us to come up with a menu that would work for numerous guests with various food allergies and dietary restrictions. We settled on a roasted chicken with an unusual house pickled lemon sauce that was just the right amount of tart that paired well with a seasonal roasted corn, fresh mozzarella, and basil salad.  The day of the event, Amy was right there making sure everything was working out well. The display for the buffet was beautiful. Our guests were impressed and we got tons of compliments on the food. I hosted an event at my house for 30 people and selected Cameron Catering as the catering company. I was absolutely thrilled with the results. The set up was beautiful. Bea and Chris, who were onsite and staffed the event, were professional, gracious, and warm. They arrived on time, set everything up, and were very attentive. They asked about the timeline for the event details/flow and took care of every detail (verifying some separated nut/no nuts plated items, boxes for extra food, when guests would transition and they could set up dessert, etc.).The chef suggested the menu and it was great. My guests loved the food, food array, and presentation -- they enjoyed it very much.The pre-event items were delivered the day before and picked up the day after as outlined. Once we shared the theme for our event, Cameron Catering responded quickly and creatively with a menu that perfectly supported a "Psychedelic Summer" for the PNW Retail Design Institute event this past July! Those creative menu suggestions became a wonderful reality the day of the party. Each item was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. We couldn't have been more pleased!

My husband and I used Cameron Catering for our wedding reception 3 weeks ago at Westland Distillery.  First of all, Justine made planning the whole event so much easier and fun for me for months leading up the wedding.  She was available to answer all of my questions multiple times, she understood my vision for how I wanted the reception to look, she was professional with every small change I made in our proposal, and she was incredibly helpful in choosing rentals and advising on necessary pieces of the big reception puzzle. She got along great with my other vendors and helped the whole day run perfectly smooth. I couldn't have done it all without her. The food was delicious!  We had an amazing tasting and subsequently amazing sit down dinner for 140 guests on day of. I've received many compliments on the food and more than one person saying it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The servers were attentive, pleasant, and made sure certain people with dietary restrictions got what they needed all evening. The bartenders were friendly and kept the party going all night.I would suggest Cameron to all brides in Seattle - they will do an amazing job at making sure you have the best event possible.  Thank you! We worked with Cameron Catering for a happy hour during part of a conference we put on and they were great!They worked with us and our budget, were super helpful at helping us pick the food we wanted, They were always super helpful with any questions we had, and we had quite a few! When they arrived to set up they weren't just on time but early and so helpful and kind as they set up. The food was absolutely delicious, and so well presented, and when we had extra food they even had to go box's to give our staff. My husband and I connected with Cameron Catering while planning our October 2013 wedding after a friend tipped us off that the owner cared about sourcing fresh, local food. Of course, since it was an important event, we also wanted to work with someone who could pull off the mechanics of a big party and work within our budget, and Cameron Catering did not disappoint on any count. I like to think I wasn't a demanding bride, but let's be honest; a big event like a wedding comes with a lot of expectations. When we met Justine, our event point person, I was relieved (and throughout the process I wanted to hug her a lot of the time.) It was clear that she understood the importance of nailing the details and she was incredibly patient as we figured out what we wanted. She traveled to our event location in Tacoma to make sure her team was fully prepared to serve a new venue, and gracefully navigated the dynamics of a bride, her father, and the event staff throughout the whole process.And then, the FOOD. Cameron made us look really good. We didn't want to have a typical (boring) wedding buffet, so asked the team to suggest a Moroccan menu. Drawing inspiration from the Ottolenghi cookbooks and Suzanne's (the owner) recent trip to the Mediterranean, they proposed a really yummy spread. We had fish tagine, chermoula zucchini, couscous with almonds and dried fruit, roasted root veggies, spinach salad, and pita with fresh hummus. It was so good that our extended family demolished the remaining leftovers the next day before lunch. I heard lots of people say that it was the best wedding food they ever had.Along with Justine, the team executing the event were awesome. They were professional and so incredibly nice. My fiance and I had considered Cameron for our wedding and I contacted them for quotes and a tasting.  Annie was the salesperson with whom I corresponded was difficult to reach, did not answer my e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner, and did not make it seem like the company would be very flexible in doing things the way we wanted for our wedding.  When I finally got a tasting scheduled (Annie had initially told me we'd have to wait at least 2 months for a private tasting), we were amazed by the food.  This was probably the best food we had tried from all of our tastings.  As much as I liked good food I dislike bad service even more.  Since working with a caterer for our wedding is going to a 6+ month relationship this person needs to be someone with whom I will enjoy working.Well it seems like my experience was an anomaly and that Annie is no longer with the company.  Since this review Suzanne Cameron, the owner, personally called me, apologized for the experience and explained that Cameron prides itself on great customer service.  Unfortunately we have already chosen a different catering company but I would recommend Cameron for your event. My daughter and her husband selected Cameron Catering for their wedding reception in Tacoma, and despite my reservations of contracting a Seattle catering company not familiar with the venue, they exceeded my expectations in every regard.  Justine met with me and my daughter 1 1/2 weeks before the event to lay the catering plan and answer the myriad of logistical questions we had, and she was there at the set-up and start of the event to assure that everything was flowing.  She then handed off to Cheri who was not only the perfect catering lead for the evening, she was the go-to person for whatever questions arose relating to this important event.  At the end of the evening the Cameron Catering team not only packed up the catering equipment quickly and professionally, they also helped us collect and organize the detritus we had strewn throughout the venue during the afternoon prep and the evening.  Everyone was out of the venue with everything cleaned up 40 minutes after its end.Oh, did I mention the food?  It was excellent and we had many compliments from the guests stating that it was the best buffet food they had ever had.  Cameron Catering worked with us to plan a menu accommodating the various dietary needs of the guests - vegan, gluten-free, and everyone went away satisfied.It's not only the food but the services, and Cameron Catering has the total package dialed! I have used Cameron Catering for two separate events.  They are next to none.  The first event I contacted them about I had less than a week to prep for.  Unfortunately, I had no knowledge of the private residence it was to be at.  I spoke with Britta who had done an event there before and she walked me through everything and she made quick work of an overwhelming situation.  She came up with a menu for the guests for me and met my special requests of the pop tart cookie.  Even though I kept upping the guest list she always was fine.  She and I stayed in constant contact about the event and the Saturday before she called because she thought maybe some bistro tables would be good with chairs with the amount of people I was having. (just continually thinking on how to make my event a success). She talked logistics with me and it was great.  The delivery company they use works on 4 hour windows but on BOTH occasions I had to request not only a 30 minute notice call but also the minimal window of 2 hours out since I couldn't have someone at the residences for that amount of time.  Britta worked this out with them and on the first occasion they waived the $50 "shorter window fee".  The small downside is they don't order the alcohol  However, this is a very small downside as they put me in touch with Wine World who helped me every step of the way in my short time window and just delivered to Cameron Catering's shop for them to take to the event for me.  At the second event there was tons of left over alcohol (shocker) and so they even removed it back to the shop for me to come pick up the following week.THE STAFF AT THE EVENTSThe staff shows up early for set up and gets acquainted with the space.  They are trained to spot any deficiency and rectify them.  The bartender we had at both events was lovely and the concierge staff person Michael, was amazing.  Michael did everything for me so I could enjoy the events.  Britta herself made sure my menu was perfect, she even asked my theme and created the menu to suit it was great having the cookies down to the tablecloth all coming together in a way for the theme.  THE FOODThe food was amazing and heated perfectly.  To share some of the items we had - Curried Chicken Satay. Marinated Prawns and Capers, Tarlet of Brie and Walnuts, Build your own Salmon Sliders, Shortbread Cookies, Chocolate Pecan Bars, and more.Also, upon another last minute change at the second event we had decided to take all the guests of the party to the Great Wheel in Seattle so we asked Cameron to prepare "to go" cookie packages which worked fantastic.They leave no service stone unturned.  I will use them any chance I can. Sara is AWESOME!! She basically became our little wedding coordinator and took so much stress off of us. Their food is amazing and they use as much local produce as possible! We had a family-style wedding meal where they brought out enough food to feed each table and everyone served themselves from the platters. My only concern was that the food was a bit cold. Granted we had smaller platters being that we were the head table with fewer people, and that day was such an exciting blur that I may not have dug in as soon as the food arrived and therefore it had time to get a little chilled.I'll say this again, SARA IS THE BEST! I joined Yelp specifically so I could tell others how wonderful Cameron Catering is. My husband and I got married at the downtown Seattle Public Library, where Cameron is a preferred caterer, and wanted to have a dessert reception as opposed to a traditional sit-down dinner. I didn't know anything about Cameron, but liked that they were a small local business and had an emphasis on sustainability and green resources. I solicited at least 12 different catering companies for ideas, and 11 of them basically either didn't get what we wanted or sent me a list of prices of eclairs and brownies - nothing out of the ordinary. Cameron, on the other hand, actually sat down as a team and came up with a special menu just for us - with extremely creative ideas - and this was even before we decided to work with them! They made up 12 different special desserts with a chocolate fountain as the centerpiece, and this really allowed us to have the event of our dreams. Sara Bader, who manages the front of the house, floored me with her professionalism and attention to detail. In addition to hosting a great tasting for us and doing walkthroughs with us, every few weeks she would get in touch with another great idea for some cool presentation or an addition to the dessert bar, or just to say she was walking past the library and was excited for the wedding. She really took ownership and pride in it, which was especially important given that I was 2,500 miles away in Ann Arbor while we were planning the event. On the day of, I was completely relaxed knowing that Sara had my back - her team even managed the set up of decorations and flowers in addition to dealing with the food and drinks. The food itself was incredible and I still get people asking me about it almost a year later. And finally, knowing how brides and grooms never eat at their own weddings, Cameron sent a special gift basket to our suite, which held tastes of all the desserts as well as some gifts including a beautiful print of the library - so we did get to enjoy some of the great food ourselves too at the end of the night. It was so incredibly thoughtful and exemplifies their care and attention to detail. We chose Cameron Catering for our wedding reception.  We did a tasting with them a few months before and chose a fantastic menu of salmon, chicken, spanikopita, augratin potatoes, cous cous salad, a green salad, and an appetizer for the cocktail hour.  The servers were great, the food was excellent, and the wine and beer flowed well all night.  I really liked that they offer to do your catering as zero waste - they compost the food waste from their cooking and dispose of recycling.  No disposables either.  Also, they worked with our budget and were very flexible with our numbers at the last minute.  We had 5 guests decline due to a family matter, and they re-adjusted the number 6 days prior.  They also do rehearsal dinners too! I had a small party sort of sneak up on me - in a panic, I turned to citysearch to find a caterer. I sent a late night email to Cameron Catering. They called the next day. Michel had a suggested menu to propose on the phone right away. It ws well thought out and well-sutied to my event. I told him that I felt I needed to change something so that I felt like I had some part in it, but it was already perfect. The day of my party came a few days later and everything was ready when it was supposed to be, beautifully plated and ready to go! My guests and I all enjoyed the food - I received quite a few compliments on it. The food was fresh and seasonal - perfect for my event. Everything was delivered on time, as promised. Best of all - the total budget was less than I thought that I would pay. I thought it was a fantastic value.
