A fabulous day, run beautifully in a stunning location by Mark.

I had my first wine tasting event experience here for my Birthday. The event was beyond excellent. It was an amazing introduction to the world of wines at the scenic Gonville and Caius College. Lunch was delightful. The facilitator was vastly knowledgeable and on point throughout. I would highly recommend this course to anyone with a curiosity for wines and little to no prior academic understanding of them. More...

I recently completed WSET Level 2 with a distinction with Mark.

I would highly recommend, Mark is a brilliant teacher and kept the course material interesting and relevant. Mark's effort on adding extra information to memorise the materials was extremely useful.

After each session of tasting, we also all get to pick one favourite bottle and take the rest of the bottle home for some "homework".

Overall, very enjoyable journey with Mark. I now feel safer to take other level of WSET exams with Mark.

We attended the event after our 'children' bought it for us as a Christmas present. It did not expire for 2 years, which gave us ample time to organise ourselves. On the day, we were pleasantly surprised by the location at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge and the room and fellow attendees. The morning's white wines were very drinkable and Mark's constant stream of knowledgeable information allowed us to categorize the wines into what would go best with different foods.
Lunch was surprisingly good and we were encouraged to go back for second helpings - Great! We also watched while one of our number successfully opened a bottle using a sabre sword. Very entertaining.
The afternoon session was just as enjoyable and informative with red wines flowing freely until we were compelled to take our transport back home. We had poured our own wines (15 in all) and everyone was sensible enough to make sure that there was enough to go round.
In all, it was a really pleasant day, in wonderful surroundings, with lots of friendly fellow wine-lovers. My wife and I can genuinely recommend the Cambridgeshire Wine School as an enjoyable way to learn about wine. Thank you Mark for a super day. We hope to attend more of your events.

A great way to learn more about the wines of Italy ready for our holiday. Mark is knowledgeable and able to pass on that knowledge in a fun and relaxed way; I now know a lot more about where the different wines are produced, how this affects them and why they react differently with flavours and foods enabling me to make good choices.
The venue was good, lunch excellent and Mark’s tour of the college a welcome surprise.

Having completed a WSET Level 2 course with Mark Anstead last year (see my original post below), I've just completed my Level 3 Course, which is a great way of broadening and deepening your understanding of wine styles, quality, regions and production techniques. Once again, Mark proved himself to be a brilliant wine educator with an amazing depth of knowledge. Top Marks for this course!

I've just completed a very enjoyable WSET Level 2 course with Mark Anstead of the Cambridgeshire Wine School. Mark's great teaching approach and deep knowledge of all things related to wine has helped increase both my understanding and appreciation of wine. A really first class course!

I attended a one day WSET Level 1 course with my daughter. We didn't know much about wine to start with but we felt the course gave us a really good grounding in wine and we can talk about it and sound quite knowledgeable in polite company now. It was an enjoyable day and I would definitely do more wine courses in the future. More...

Mark made the whole wine tasting experience informative but also really fun!
Wine tasting was right up the Brides street, but for someone like me who is not a big wine drinker, I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it! The games made it interesting and it was good to compete against one another to win the prize...you will want to book this experience just for that alone!! I would definitely recommend this to others. Thanks Mark! More...
