Ollie Batts
I have had the pleasure of working with Ollie Batts, from Cambridge Academy, since 1995. My first aquaintance with Ollie was at Sawston Village College, where he taught Self Defence as part of a two day, year 10 Health Promotion Event, to boys and girls. He had been recommended to me by a colleague from the field of Judo.In 1997, as Head of PE at St Mary's School, Cambridge, I asked him to teach Self Defence to the Year 11 girls, as part of their option programme. He very quickly put the girls at their ease and showed a genuine concern for their learning and well being.I have since sought to work with Ollie in two further school, as I have moved on: Culford School and more recently Melbourn Village College. I find Ollie very professional, reliable and totally trustworthy. His sessions are characterised by knowledge, technique and a genuine desire to impart good practice. He is an excellent role model, who understands the field of Self Defence thoroughly.I have no hesitation in recommending Ollie for work with children. I know of no reason why he cannot be trusted with young people. He has expertise in Self Defence, Kick Boxing, Kali, Judo and a variety of other martial arts.Ali CopeMelbourn VC School Sports Coordinator. More...
