I met Will a couple of weeks ago in Melbourne. I had some very pressing issues with a 7 month old Beagle Cavalier I was taking care of for 3 weeks. I had issues with her constantly jumping and biting and my treatment was to grab her back and pin her down. This never ever worked and only fuelled her enthusiasm for this very fun game even more. Will gave me simple but very effective advice on how to manage this, as well as advice on feeding, which completely changed the behaviour of Ruth. She instantly became calmer and more relaxed after just one session of hunting for her food. Incredible! I also recognised that my emotional state plays one of the largest roles in the interactions I have with Ruth and so I’ve learned lessons about myself too. I highly, very highly, recommend Will if you need help with your pooch. He has a very calm energy and will easily manage to diagnose your dogs behaviour and help you to remain calm! More...

Just brought my 1st weeks worth! Lady in the shop very nice and helpful x Wanted to edit my recommendation after lady being on raw for 5 days, wow! Since her pregnancy and nursing her 10 pups she had very very lose stalls vet gave me some stuff didn’t work and a friend suggested I put her on raw. Went to the shop laura helped and advised what to get, went away with a 7 day supply and we are now on day 5, lady’s poos are now amazing easy to pick up firm etc (it’s not easy cleaning slop up) on top of this she no longer has bad breath! Her coat feels nice and she actually feels in great condition in such a short amount of time I’m amazed! I chose not to keep one from her litter and have brought from another, her babies go to there new homes this weekend and my pup arrives next week and she will be going straight onto raw! Amazing to meet Will yesterday, he is extremely knowledgeable and full of good advice and understanding of not just our dog but of ourselves. We have been to other behaviourists and trainers to try and tackle our terripoo's lead reactivity with no luck, however within 45 minutes there was a huge difference - being Woody was nicely walking alongside us whilst meeting Will's beautiful dogs- something we haven't been able to do which is walk past other dogs without Woody reacting, so this was hugely satisfying and rewarding! Will helped us so much with our nervous and anxious rescue Pablo - and he has done that remotely ! As we live in Belfast we couldn't manage to meet up, instead we had a couple of calls with Will where he asked a load of questions and even by that I knew he knew what he was talking about. He made us feel so much better even just by knowing we weren't alone and our issues where fixable. So after that he send us different papers on different behaviors and issues which he also explained to us again over the phone if we had questions. Also we were able to send him videos of behaviors if they weren't as straight forward to explain. Based on that he worked with us and even in the short time frame of 3 month we have seen major improvements of Pablo. He is not as nervous/anxious anymore, no more biting of the kitchen and his bed. He seems so much more happy and its such a relief. Will checked in with us continuously and if any questions popped up in the meanwhile we could always email him and we'd set up a call to go over things. I dint think it would be possible to get that much of an improvement with a remote kind of training but it worked. We are very thankful and will continue to use all the tips and advise given by Will! I got Will in early doors when my french bulldog Louie was just 4 months old after he was recommended by a friend to ensure I set him on the right path from as early as possible to make sure I wasn’t making any mistakes when it came to what to do when he was pining for attention, what to do to make sure Louie wouldn’t be destructive when left alone, and the best way to introduce Louie to walking on the lead. Will's expertise and experience have been invaluable in training and calming down out Staffy cross Stanley. We got Stanely as a rescue at 8 months old, and while not neglected, he lived his life in a small flat, didn't get the exercise he needed, wasn't socialised, and was in some pretty bad habits. Will was able to help us identify these, put in place some brilliant training techniques and Stanley is a completely different dog to how he was before Will came along. Being a first time dog owner I was not very sure about raising a pet dog but was sure that I wanted one . I read a lot of books and researched and bumped into Will’s website ! ! Will was away in the US at that time but he was kind enough to call me and talk to me and gave me a lot of valuable information which was very helpful during the initial puppy days . He suggested crate training and let the puppy sleep on his own even if he cries and whines and we did it with a heavy heart and he cried just for 2 days and has been so good since then !!Will came home and spent a few hours with us and Sunny (my 5 month old Welsh Corgi ) which really helped us to discipline and raise a happy and well behaved dog . Whenever I was not sure about a certain puppy behaviour, Will would happily answer my queries very promptly ! Would highly recommend Will, spent the afternoon with us and our Schnauzer. Monty took to Will within 15 minutes, he has a very calming effect. So much knowledge and I love that he explains how the dog would be feeling, which made us understand why Monty reacts as he does. I can't thank Will enough for the skills and knowledge he has given me. It has enabled me to help my bulldog Bear begin his journey on becoming a balanced dog. Before Will came Bear was prey driven, dominant (in and out of the house) over boistrouse, reactive on lead and towards new people in the house. Within a week I had a completely different dog. I never dreamed of letting my dog off at beach and in a week I did. Will also gives me continouse support after our consultation to keep up my confidence. Will also happily travelled all the way to sunny Sussex, early morning to work with us before it got too hot. He is extremely professional, easy to talk to and his knowlege of dogs is incredible. Will came and helped my husband and I with our rescue french bulldog pup Winnie. She was emotionally quite damaged when we rescued her and wasn't sure how to help her for the best. Will had amazing knowledge of not only the bulldog breed but also dealing with rescue's and their anxiety's. She is a very bright high energy dog that does not tire and settle easily, but Will gave us loads of tips and advice on mental stimulation games we could do with her that actually work! We were given a very comprehensive behaviour plan to follow and 6 months on from rescuing Winnie I can say we are well on the way to having a well behaved balanced dog. Separation anxiety is still an ongoing slow process but Will is always on the end of an email to offer further advice. We have had our Labrador puppy for six week and she was becoming a handful with a few difficult issues of pulling on walks, lunging and biting hard which we were at a loss to control so we contacted Will. He came to visit us and we went to a nearby open area where we had a very enjoyable and educative couple of hours, for us and our pup. We all learnt so much from Will on his visit this morning. Our dog suffers from separation anxiety and I was starting to feel like we'd never find a solution. Will addressed how we should tackle this and we even managed a quiet absence of 7.5 minutes which completely blew me away. Will has given us lots of advice with our french bulldog Roscoe, which we have found invaluable. Roscoe had separation anxiety which is now fixed, and lead aggression which we have made huge progress with. Will also gave us advice on the raw food diet which has been a huge success, and even helped us meal plan and suggested the most cost effective places to buy it from locally. Will came to help us with our French bulldog Lola this morning. What can we say... Amazing doesn't quite cut it. He made us feel relaxed listened to all our concerns and showed us how these can be addressed. Will Kay is an absolute genius, what he has achieved in a few hours has been impossible for me to achieve in 4 years. I met Will today for the first time to help me with my gorgeous boys Nelson and Neo. Nelson and Neo are lovely dogs but as soon as I put their leads on them they totally change. They constantly bark when they come across people and dogs, it makes walking them an absolute nightmare. I get anxious and so do they. My dream is to go on long peaceful and relaxing walks with them. After meeting Will I now know that will be possible. Not only do I need to train my boys, I need to train myself as well. From the knowledge that I have learned today not only about behaviour but with diet as well, I’m a 100% confident that my dream will become a reality. We contacted Calm Down Dawg because we had a very jumpy & exciteable young lab (monty). We asked for Wills help on what we could be doing to help settle & calm our pup. What a great morning we had with Will! From the first moment we spoke over the phone with Will, we knew our 2 standard dachshunds would be in good hands. Will was very clear from the word go, what his approach would be & gave us hope from the start. We were excited to get started. We spent a morning with Will & in that short time, we gained such crucial knowledge about our dogs, their behaviours, actions & diet. We left him feeling positive about the future & with a clear direction on what to do next. Will came on a walk with us (after a quality discussion getting to know us as owners & them in different scenarios), this was a huge learning curve (dogs included). One of our dogs suffers greatly with anxiety which led to some lead aggression. Will had this sorted by the end of the walk and we are left with tips and knowledge to try it alone. Having taken on a seven-year-old Labrador called Zara, I soon realised that she had separation anxiety. Is there anything about dogs that Will doesn’t know? We have two French bulldogs, Lenny and Diesel. Lenny was suffering from separation anxiety, and Diesel was going crazy when other dogs walked past when he was on his lead. They were both very excitable when guests came over. Having just brought our first- born baby into the house, it was hard trying to juggle it all. ​Will was able to address each issue and show us what we needed to do – some of the problems were fixed overnight and others we had to work on.
