Will the host and server was exceptional. Friendly and inviting. The food was very good, the kind of food that keeps you coming back. The calamari fritti app was nicely done, although a few pieces were a little tough/chewy. The crab cakes had good flavor and chunks of crab. The minestrone soup was delicious, served piping hot and full of flavor. Our group of 5 shared 4 entrees, and all were hits, with some liking one over the other but all choosing different ones so that means all were good. The frutti mare had lots of seafood and I couldn't stop dunking bread in the sauce. The linguine with clams was nicely done. The penne with chicken just had that wonderful wholesome goodness. The stuffed chicken had some wonderful flavor, with a little dryness on the edges. The mashed potatoes were so creamy! I wanted to lick the plate. Overall a very satisfying meal. More...

The serving was a bit small but having pasta (and how filing it can be) is the right portion. The food (stuffed tortellini with chicken & veal) was delicious and so was the bread pudding for dessert.

we love coming here, nice family owned restaurant. Food always fresh and good. But, what makes it exceptional are the people. Going out to eat is more than just good food (which is is) but, some small talk, seeing a nice smiley face. Nick, always has a happy smile, great service and makes dining out what it should be. This is the best place ever...We go here at least once a month. The staff is fabulous and very attentive. Will is the best! !!!!! The food no matter what you try is always delicious! They constantly come over and make sure everything is great! I highly recommend this Restaurant! Great for parties of any size! They closed the restaurant down for a surprise party 2 years ago I had for my husband. I had about 65 people! The choices of food was delicious and they made my husband's favorite that night! We've been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant for many years and just haven't found one until now. We live in So. S.F. and have gone to Bertalucci, Buon Gusto, Andiamo, DiNapali and they're just average. This place is clean, nicely decorated with quick and friendly service. We were in San Francisco just for the night and were looking for a local place with good food at a reasonable price. Figaro nailed those and more. It seemed there were many locals there and we were there early. The place filled up quickly after our arrival. My wife had chicken and I had halibut. Both were outstanding, along with the caprese and bread and dip before. Against my better judgement we had dessert as well. (We were stuffed). We split a panacotta and it was as good as everything else. Our hats off to Will, the proprietor, Matt, our waiter and all the other people that filled out water glasses and cleared plates. Friendly, helpful, smiling faces. They acted as if they actually enjoyed what they were doing. Bottom line, it was a great dining experience. Charming atmosphere, Italian music greeted us when we walked through the door. My husband and I could actually have a conversation and hear each other. We had the Bolognese and seafood in a saffron broth. Both were wonderful; the Bolognese was especially hearty (maybe a tad salty) but the flavor was rich.
