Disappointing experience with Cadplan. Working with Cadplan was difficult, they often didn't respond to our calls or messages and left us wondering if they were working on our project or not. There was miscommunication, delays and eventually after 6 months we made the decision to pay again for the work to be completed by a qualified Architect. We assumed that Cadplan Architecture were qualified Architect's which was our mistake. We found that the difference in using a qualified Architect was worlds apart especially as we are incorporating modern technologies. Cadplan were unwilling to share their electronic files which meant leaving them was more difficult and resulted in us having to pay to complete the same work twice. More...

I have used Cadplan on three occasions now. Twice for loft conversions in my current and previous house. And more recently for a kitchen extension.
Andrew provides a fantastic personal service and is able to offer sound advice based on his years of experience.

I contacted Andrew of cadplan architecture after getting his details from a builder friend of my who had used his drawings on several jobs that he has done over the years. I was looking for some advice on an extension that I wanted to do on my own house.Andrew was very helpful and obviously has good knowledge of planning and development which as I’ve recently found out can be very complex.Andrew kindly contacted the planning office on my behalf and gave me some sound advice on the best way to proceed.I would recommend Cadplan Architecture to anyone who is looking for planning and development. We have achieved many Listed building consents including a Grade 2* commercial to resi Conversion
All of our applications have succeeded within a couple of months and we have always known of the decision within ten weeks of registration.
We have never had a conversion application fail in all this time.
