Couldn't fault the driver to Southampton Airport, on time, very pleasant and sorted out an error by the office. I had booked a return journey, even provided my flight number. I went to the agreed puck up point and though I was just over 10 mins late, I was confident that they'd checked that my flight would be late.. I received 3 text with 3 different driver names.. The taxi was not only late, but over 40 mins late. I called the office a few times - frustrating. Though the driver was pleasant enough, booking a taxi, providing my flight details and having to wait for over 40 mins is an absolute joke. No apology or anything. Atrocious customer service! More...

Awful customer service. Booked a taxi to pick us up at 7.40 p.m. - tracked our driver only to find him heading away from our pick up point. Received a phone call at 8 p.m. to tell us that our new driver would be with us in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later (at 8.20 p.m.) he turned up. 40 minutes standing outside Sea Life museum - at least it wasn't raining. Booked return taxi to the airport and one day before the trip they cancelled. No explanation. When I called to ask what happened, as they took payment and sent a confirmation email, the operator said he needed to talk to management to find out. When I asked to speak to them, he said they were busy... on the school run?! The operator said they would call me back within the hour, but I never heard from anyone again. Unbelievable!! I suppose I need to be grateful they at least cancelled as oppose to a no show which, looking at previous reviews, has happened more than once. awful service. booked A taxi to come this morning to take me my daughter to a hospital appointment, Did not turn up The driver called me 20 minutes later to tell me he was running late and would be another 10 Minutes which he still had not turned up, I called the hospital to explain and they cancelled my daughter's appointment which she has been waiting 10 months for. AVOID!! There are far better taxi companies in Southampton! Booked several days ahead and pre paid. Cab was 30 minutes late, after several phone calls to the company and being assured that it was 6 minutes away. Another 5minutes and I would have missed an important hospital appointment. Double charged myself and another couple Sunday 27th august. We had a pre-booked ride with our card details on the system, we got out of the taxi (first drop off) only to have cab my ride phoning us 15 mins later (1am in the morning) demanding payment as apparently our card didn’t work. Meanwhile the taxi driving was refusing to let our friends out until they paid for the ride. They paid the £60 and messaged us this to confirm. Meanwhile the guy on the phone to us is still demanding payment telling us that our friends haven’t paid. I Give him my card details and straight away £60 comes out, (he said nothing came out) after more arguing with him on the phone saying that the taxi driver didn’t get paid in the cab and that we were wrong I then get charged £80 for a £60 ride. The taxi turned up 40 minutes late and we had to walk 20 minutes from our original pick up location to be picked up. (Found out the driver decided to do another lift before picking us up even though it was already our pick up time) Cab my ride are an unreliable, disorganised and will OVERCHARGE you and DOUBLE CHARGE you, absolute thief’s, do not trust them to pick you up and do NOT trust them with your card details. 1. They didn't Turn up 2. They didn't make contact when delayed and gave unrealistic times when contacted. 3. They did not Accept that after 40 minutes of no show you might make alternative arrangements 4. When they give a first time discount they should actually apply it to your first journey not say you lose it against the journey they were 45 mins late for 5. Was excited to book the first return journey through your service, but highly disappointed by the terrible level of customer service. I'm due to travel from London to Paulton's Park next week and contacted the customer service team last tuesday to check travel queries given i'm travelling with a 3 month old, 5 year old and 9 year old. I would travel my own car seat and only wanted them to confirm that this car seat would be kept safe as, we would be at the park. 3 phone call follow ups (female agents) and i was told they'd check with the manager and call back. I checked again this morning (female agent) and was encouraged to book via the app. The app wouldn't allow me to book a return journey , so i booked via the website but called the team to let them know of the discrepancy. The male customer service agent didn't pay heed to the history that i mentioned, was rather rude and cancelled the trips stating the fares had changed. I insisted that i would have booked this last week, but he suggested they would have called and cancelled it anyway. If this is how the customers with young families are treated, with no compassion or understanding, I wonder how this family run business is different from other cab services. Very poor customer service representative especially in talking to females. Their male customer service people need to be trained. I would actively warn any family from using them! My taxi driver Harjit was very rude. I tried explaining to him there were two properties with the same house number on the same road but he told me it’s impossible (so basically called me a liar), my friend saw the car for a split second in the distance and he said “If she can see us why is she too lazy to come out” then said “she starting to piss me off now”. We asked him 3 or 4 times to let us out the taxi because of his rudeness but wouldn’t let us out. Definitely shouldn’t be in a customer service facing role. Never in my life have I experienced a taxi drive so rude. Won’t be using this company again. I’ll stick to Uber next time, at least they were pleasant and didn’t make us feel uncomfortable!!! absolutely terrible service booked a 4pm pick up at at 4,30 I checked where it was only to find it wasn't even half way to me so I rang up and the excuse was they running late because of school runs what's the point in pre booking your taxis if they not going to turn up on time also needed an urgent taxi to the hospital booked through the app they cancelled on me! they have been late on several times if you want a very unreliable taxi service then this company is for you! rang up to complain again today 11th June as taxi half an hour late it was pre booked through the app yesterday for 11am today the guy on the phone was dam right rude and I said I will write another bad review he said go ahead it makes absolutely no difference really? is this a friendly family run business I think not all they care about is money not there customers please people Don't be fooled by this company they are awful! We had a taxi booked at 5:30pm for 6 people to go to our dinner reservation at 6pm. Still no sign of anyone at 5:40pm so phoned office. Was told driver was stuck in football traffic. Phoned them again at 5:55pm and they said they sent 2 taxi's in its place. I stated that our reservation was at 6pm and that we weren't happy. I told the lady on the phone that I was not going to be charged more than quoted. She agreed snd said that the firm would pay for the second taxi. We told the taxi driver that we had pre-paid and that the firm was paying for the other one. He said I still needed to do a wireless transaction. We finally got the dinner at 6:25pm. Now checking my bank account, I have been charged for both the initial booking & the one on the night. Will never use this company again! More...

Terrible service with terrible customer service!! We made quotations for 2 trips as we were to move luggages from one place to another on 2 different days, the first trip’s quotation was 15pounds and the 2nd was 20pounds. For the first trip, when the driver got here he said he didn’t expect the number of luggages (though we made it very clear via the chat with customer service, even stated the sizes of the luggages), he said to complete it with 2rides, and the price was raised from £15, to £20, then £30, and we agreed and showed understanding since the driver’s already here and told us there’s miscommunication. For the 2nd trip, since we didn’t want to make the same mistake, we made it VERY CLEAR about the number of luggages we had, but the same issue happened. The customer service didnt even call us in advance, he only told us he couldn’t arrange the cab big enough to accommodate the luggages when we called them to confirm the ride 2 hours before the pickup time, and the CS staff dared to make excuses like ‘we don’t move luggages, they are cabs’ and told us they could only move all our stuff with 2 rides and we had to pay £45 this time!! (Despite the distance was shorter than the 1st trip!) we told them it’s not our fault that they couldn’t arrange a big enough cab cuz we made the quotation 6 days in advance, made it very clear the number of luggages we had, got replied from them in the chat saying it’s ok and would only cost £20, and this was already the 2nd time, so it’s their responsibility to provide us the cab, and what’s the point to get a quotation if they could raise the price last minute everytime? And you CS staff dared to say something like ‘I’m not here to babysit you.’, terrible service, terrible manner!!!!!!!!! I was tasked by friends last week to get us a taxi booking to attend a family party that crossed the Southampton boundaries. That booking wasn’t just for any type of taxi: we needed a 6 seater to fit 3 adults and 2 kids! I started calling the usual local firms that I’ve used since I was a teenager, knowing full well what the response would be: we can book you in but we can’t guarantee you a 6 seater. Sure enough, I got that response from all three firms that I called, so I went to good ol google to look for other local taxi firms and found Cab My Ride next on the list after those I’d already tried. I’d never heard of them before, but with the logo and website looking very legit and professional, I decided to give them a call. Speaking to one of their telephone agents, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they could indeed book me a 6 seater! For the initial pick up AND the return journey! I must say I felt pretty smug at bagging such a booking! On the night of the party (yesterday) there was an issue with the initial pick up: the taxi was stuck in the football traffic and ended up being half an hour late. This was handled in a great manner from a customer service perspective at the cab office and the driver was extremely apologetic when he called me en route and when he arrived. He was absolutely lovely and humoured my friends kids when they excitedly jumped in the taxi, waving and shouting hello at him! The return journey was on time, in fact Harj was a bit early as he told me when I ran up to the taxi in a little bit of a flap as I was a little late! Harj reassured me it was all good, he’d been keeping himself busy on his phone. Harj was equally as lovely as the first driver: very friendly and chatty, despite the time of night. He was saddened to hear about the earlier issues and again apologised for that, explaining he had also been caught up in that traffic earlier. Overall, despite the challenge with the first pick up, I can honestly say that I will absolutely be using Cab My Ride again, and I’m saying that as someone who has pretty much stuck to using the same firm for the last 20-odd years! I’ve had some horrendous taxi journeys over the years, with some moody and downright rude drivers at times. From my experience last night, there was none of that, just a genuine nature across the board and a friendly reassuring manner from everyone I spoke to or saw, that put me at ease. The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER , My husband booked with them to transport him from London heathrow airport to ibis barking hotel on 27 December 2021 , the money was withdrawn from the bank and they send confirmation email , my husband waited in the airport and the driver did not show up and when he called cab my ride there answer was we are in Southampton and we can not come to London , Why did they book the ride and withdraw the money , he could have booked with other company instead ,because of them he had to take a taxi from the airport and pay 220 pounds . Outrageous!! Do not use this service!!! Booked at 2:30am for the next day at midday. At 11am had heard nothing of the driver as email stated, so I started to panic and looked and had no missed calls, no messages, no email. Checked my junk email and I had an email stating 'your taxi service has been cancelled' NOTE!! This was an hr before I was due to be picked up. NOTE!! I had a flight to catch and it was for 5 people. So I ring them and they simply tell me 'sorry maam but we didnt have a driver available' EXCUSE ME?? you dared to take £111 off my card and then looked for a driver??? Isn't it supposed to be the other way round? You DO NOT sell a product, take the money and then say you can't provide the service. Not only this but to make matters worse, I have been CHARGED £5.00 CANCELLATION FEE!! And I had half an hr to find a taxi that could take 5 people from Leeds to Manchester. Plus had to find the funds for that, because note it could take 3-5 days to have MY funds returned. Clearly they are ripping people off. I got to Manchester on a dark pitch rainy evening..... looked for my booked PRE PAID driver. ... noone there.... called the company and this guy Mol simply told me..... the cab got cancelled since we don't have drivers available! seriously! no decency to call or text or email the client??? I was left stranded for half an hour in pouring rain with 2 young kids until I managed to find another cab who obviously charged me double the price! you're a disgrace of a company! and mi refund effected yet! shame on you!
