Describe your creative process.
I will meet with you via phone, email, Skype or GoTo Meeting to discuss your goals and figure out the best look for your collateral materials and website. My goal is to supply you with a design that is attractive, functional and helps your brand and business grow. I work from concepting ideas based on our brainstorming sessions, then create several samples for you to choose from. Once that is finalized, I will create a first proof for you to review and make any tweaks or changes needed. I also do my own print production, so once all the changes are made, you will be provided with a final file ready for print. You can take it to your printer or if you don't have one, I can recommend a few for you to use.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I would need info about your business, what you are selling/producing and what market you are trying to reach. I also need to know what you like and want to see in the piece I would create for you. My goal is for the client to be happy with the final piece. It doesn't make sense to create a piece that the client doesn't want or like. I would also need the specs/sizes of the piece and if the client has a printer in mind to use so I can match with what their printer prefers in the final set up. I also need images and copy if the client has that readily available. I also do some copywriting if necessary.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety it gives me when I design a piece. I love to research what's out there and create something that is competitive and different at the same time. I like to create a piece that is memorable when you see it once. I also enjoy learning about different companies that are out there and getting to know my clients and understanding their needs. I love designing...always have, since I was a little girl. Layout and typography are my favorites.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked in the graphic design field for well over 20 years learning the ins and outs of different sectors of graphic design and I wanted more variety. I worked in advertising, graphic design studios, print shops, music publishing art department, and educational publishing for marketing and art departments and I learned a lot in all of them, but realized that a graphic design studio gave me more variety and I wanted to start my own business when I turned 40...it happened a year later, so close.

I feel that I am versatile and can easily adapt to what a client needs. Yes I may have more corporate styles in what I have designed in the past, but that's just due to my current clients at the moment. I can create fun and exciting things if the client requests it.
