Brought my parents for afternoon tea last week. What can I say... everything was fantastic... the food and the service. The selection of bite sized treats was amazing from savories . ... goujons, quiche, soup and prawn cocktail in a little jar, bagel with egg mayonnaise , smoked salmon blinis and little chicken roll to the sweet delights of scones with cream and jam, red devil cake bites, sponge with butter icing and jam meringue topped pastry and more. Went in for breakfast before a race with a friend and we both had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The portions were very big, we could easily have ordered one to share. Myself and my fiancé went to button and spoon few weeks back when I wasn't well and I got a brownie for the sake of having something. I couldn't eat for nearly a week but when I tasted that brownie I was back in action. We visited again this weekend and had lunch this time. It was nothing short of amazing. The food was delicious and because we were waiting a while, which I didn't notice because the cafe is so atmospheric, we were given free coffees after our lunch. Top service. Even though we are in New Ross, it will be a destination of choice for us in the future. Myself and my sister will be back for the afternoon tea also, I can't wait. More...
