Great store . These guys can repair practically anything made of leather , they even collect and deliver ! Pete and his team supply the only riding boots in the area and offer a select range of quality footwear and leather goods . A truly unique experience!

Newmarket high street... What can I say? Amongst a town full of bookies, hairdressers and charity shops, is this little gem Busy Bee filled with plenty of goodies for everybody. Leather handbags and shoes. Whilst some of the items are high end they still have a lot of reasonably priced goods. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. I even got a free hot chocolate, would highly recommend coming here! More...

Excellent result - swift service

Suede cleaning - after doing an internet search for suede cleaning, I came across a video which caught my eye. Little research and found pick up my repair. Had worn my suede boots on a night out which resulted in a scuffed and marked wreck...
£12.50 and they are as good as new. Didn't have time to wait in for the collection service but was offered a list of drop off points. Very quick and easy service and good to know how suede can be cleaned.

Very impressed with the way the service is organised - from order to courier collection, payment and return. However, was disappointed that although the repair was carried out successfully, my boots came back to me with lots of excess adhesive over them. It looked as if a child had been let loose with the glue! Surely a couple of extra minutes cleaning up this overspill would have made the job look professional and earned a five star rating. More...

Hi David, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately in order to glue these type of Dubarry boots, we have to glue them and then tape them up to hold the boots in (if we didn't we wouldn't be able to glue them fully and our customers wouldn't be happy) of course this then incurs spills of the glue. If we were then to remove this glue the sole would then come off again and again, our customers wouldn't be happy. I think your particular boots the sole had completely come away so needed extra glueing. Sorry we couldn't give you a 5 star repair.

Great service very promt! And quick return , only thing was the zip was a different colour to my boot ask before you send what colour zip would be,but all in all fantastic service!!!

The repair service was good although there was a slight problem in arranging the shoes to be accepted at the nominated drop off point, noting serious.

Great company - really expert replacement of my boot zip, and also a zip in some leather trousers. Super efficient and fast service, I will definitely use them again when the need arises.

I received excellent service on a pair of boots that needed stretching around the calves. Because I live on an island and the postage the delivery company charged would have been very high, we had to work out another option, and Lucy was very helpful in finding me the cheapest option. She took my boots to the post office on her day off to make sure they got back to me as quickly and as cheaply as possible. Brilliant - solved the problem of getting my Dubarry boots back in use after my broken ankle - fast service! Very pleasant to deal with and I am delighted with the result!

Excellent service and a top quality sole repair. Was left a little disappointed as the boot valet was supposed to repair the stitching on the boot puller and this was not completed.

Efficient Good quality fast service

Very friendly staff and worked to turn around a repair quickly for my Le Chameau boots which needed a new zip in each boot.

1st problem I have is that one of the boots now leaks which it did not before the repair was made - I was assured over the phone that the repair would not involve stitching right through the whole boot (which is exactly what was done) - shouldn't necessarily matter however if the stitching is sealed properly but it clearly hasn't been and it does feel as though the whole thing was very rushed.

In line with that another part of what I was promised was that the boots would be fully cleaned etc and would be returned looking "as good as new". The boots were not cleaned at all and were returned in the same box I'd sent them in with mud all over them - this doesn't really matter but it's not the service which was promised.

Whilst the people have been wonderful over the phone and brilliantly quick, managing to return my boots very quickly, I now have a pair of wellies which, before I sent them for repair were 100% waterproof and now have working zips but do not keep all the water out - not very useful for a wellington boot!?

Not sure what I can do about this but would be grateful for anything you are able to do.

Hi Angus, Thank you for your review and comments made on the welly repairs you had. We haven't come across any issues with Le Chameau wellies leaking after being repaired by us before. We have been repairing these in this style for the last 5 years so seems very strange to us. I am unsure on who you spoke with over the phone but I can only apologies for your boots not being cleaned, we normally charge £17.50 for a valet on boots and I can see this wasn't included on your order. However I agree if this was promised it should have happened for you. We try to return customers shoes/boots in the same box as sent to us, which unfortunately if there is still a bit of mud in from the boots then we can only apologise. I would advise emailing some images of your boots where they are leaking to the repair team on shop@busybeenewmarket.co.uk to see if there is anything further that we can do to help you on this matter. Again thank you for your kind review and comments that will help us in the future.
