I don't normally write reviews, but my experience with the Mugshot crew was so fantastic that I just had to give them my praises! First off, I had never gotten a headshot before and wasn't looking to spend a lot of money. I found that many Bay Area photography studios were charging upwards of $300 for one photo. Now I'm no photographer, but many of the examples on the top google listings didn't strike me as top notch, $300 photographs. A couple hundred dollars for a photo seems pretty steep to me, especially one I may not be happy with. When I came across Mugshot, off the bat, I was very intrigued by the quality of the photos and the price. Before booking I sent them an email and they got back to me immediately. I ended up speaking with Taylor on the phone and she was super nice and helpful. I booked a session for $100 for the following week.I got my headshot taken at their studio and the experience was great! Their place is right on 16th street just a couple minute walk from the Bart stop. I'd never really gotten my photo taken formally before and I didn't really know what to expect. That being said, Taylor made me feel comfortable and it was an overall great experience.I received the photo the next day (as promised) and I was super happy with it. I was in need of some new LinkedIn photos when I started my job hunt a few months ago when I came across Mugshot. I was instantly intrigued by the name and I knew that this would be the right place for me as I am a bit shy getting my picture taken. Taylor is super easy to talk to and work with, she talked to me and helped me take some amazing portraits that I will use for many years. If you are looking for some eye-catching portraits for work, life or a dating app even Taylor is your girl.
