Burythorpe house hotel

We got married at Burythorpe House in December 2018. Alison was incredible- she was so easy to talk too and very accommodating during the planning of the wedding and on the weekend itself. We booked the hotel for the full weekend and it felt like our country house. I highly recommend both holding a wedding reception here and hiring the hotel for a weekend. This is a recently renovated country hotel situated in the Yorkshire Wolds about 20 miles east of York. We stayed for 4 nights and we felt at home immediately. The staff were friendly , the food was of a good standard. We found the location peaceful and a good base to explore the many attractions of this area. Returned here after 18 1/2 years, as this was the venue for our wedding reception in 1999. A single night stay, with dinner bed and breakfast, in the Newburgh suite. Beautiful-room, beautiful surroundings, exceptional food and the staff where superb!. Exceeded my expectations, I couldn't recommend this venue/ hotel Burythorpe house enough. Alison mums wedding organiser and the whole team bent oven backwards and did everything for us to make my mum and Wayne's wedding the most amazing experience it could be. Beautiful hotel with fantastic food, staff most helpful. Lovely bedroom with a comfy bed and great bathroom. Location a little remote village about twenty minutes walk away with local pub but not much else. A great stay though.

This is a very beautiful hotel set in the heart of the most amazing Yorkshire Countryside. The inside of the hotel is elegant and well maintained.
The Food is superb too.
There is also an indoor swimming pool for anyone who wishes to exercise.

Burythorpe House is both charming and prepossessing. The staff are friendly and welcoming eager to help with anything you may require. Burythorpe House is beautifully decorated, and I found it to be of a high standard of cleanliness. The hotel is very well situated in a rural part of Malton giving breathtaking views of undulating lanscapes that surround Burythorpe House. It's quiet location allows you to enjoy a very restful and peaceful stay away from your tumultuous everyday life. I would vehemently recommend to anyone a visit to this exquisite hotel. Great place! They staff are very helpful and will do anything for you. We stayed with our 10 month old baby last week, when we arrived early we where not sure the room would be sorted but given a few minutes we where escorted to our lovely room, it was very spacious to accommodate all the baby items and also had a roll top bath tub which was great to bath our son. We had the pool to ourselves both times we went in so got to make some precious memories with our little boy. Lovely local pub just up the road too and flamingo land was only 25min away. A maze ing place it's a must on anyone's list. Hotel is so beautiful as are the grounds. The staff have been very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back.
