This Emotional Wellness program is one of a kind in that clients report that they "feel different" after only one session.  By the END of the coaching experience, when clients are well practiced at using the tools, one of my clients said that she felt like she was "all put back together" - I thought that this was the perfect statement about what this process does: it harnesses the lost aspects of ourselves and brings them back to center, back together, so that the whole person is present and available to face life.  Of course, I went through the process, too.  And all I can say is that I truly feel freer in many ways.  I'm not a "different person" at all, just one who views myself differently in the world.  It wasn't hard to learn, nor difficult to use, it is quite satisfying to note that it feels as though I didn't "do" anything much at all.  Be curious.  Call the Burris Institute and ask lots of questions.  Gain emotional freedom.  Find a Certified Burris Coach.  Emotional Wellness, without drugs, without judgement, without therapy, but WITH phenomenal results. I had and continue to have only positive and instructive experiences with the professionals of the Burris Institute. I had the great fortune to receive training alongside several other practitioners, in the field, who want to make a difference in the lives of our Veterans. One of the coolest things about the Burris Institute Coaching program is that it is simple and straight forward yet powerful and highly effective. One of the truths within the world of life transformation is this: "Change your thoughts and change your life."Through this simple, straightforward and effective program, individuals learn how to quickly gain hold of their thought processes and change them--and can track their progress on their own based on the data from how they answer what I call their "snap shot in life questions"--unlike traditional "counseling" where progress is based on what the counselor says, here individuals are in charge and can see for themselves the progress that is being made. The coach is just a guide--the individual is really the source and cause of their own healing. :-) I cannot say enough good things about this coaching platform--but I will add, like all good things, this must be experienced to really and truly understand! :-) More...

Did you ever wish for a recipe for mental wellbeing? Or some sort of step-by-step instructions that could lead you through the worst days? I spent too many years thinking that other people had answers to questions that I couldn't figure out, like: how to "let it go", whatever "it" was. I’ve even studied psychology on both master’s and doctoral levels, and I was dismayed to discover that there seemed to be no secret, no recipe, no answers, and no magic wand to assist in the process of moving beyond anything.I found Dr. Burris through a post on LinkedIn, "How Normal Is Defined", a post that sufficiently peaked my skepticism about any effective intervention strategies for emotional wellness. I scoured the website and found that the Burris Institute claimed to have an evidence-based wellness program that actually used data collection along the way to ensure that clients were making actual progress towards their goals. And there was a phone number at the top of the page. So me and my skepticism called.Dr. Burris was available to speak with when I called. He and I spoke for quite some time about current trends in mental illness, the dangers of over prescribing, apathy in the world of therapists due to third party payers, and I shared with him a few of the rocky avenues that I had taken in pursuit of relieving some of the pain of my own past. I told him of the constant advice to “let things go”, and he laughed. He said his program would teach me how to do just that. And it did. He did. As a matter of fact, the Burris Method was not only effective, it was effective QUICKLY. After learning What the tools were, How to use them, When to use each component, Where to look to find answers, and Who was really in charge, it was less than 24 hours before I was noticing significant changes in me. And I loved it. And the more I use it, the more in control of myself and my world I feel. So I became a coach, and have been using and sharing this program ever since. For me, these tools are the Holy Grail. I’ve spent 30 years looking for it, and it is here, and it is all that it promises to be. Burris Method is a powerful tool for unleashing your own happiness, achieving satisfaction, and overcoming the mental and emotional blocks that hold you back from finding the best version of yourself each and every day. All of this requires NO PERSONAL DISCLOSURE to the coach. I’ll say it another way… This is not therapy! It is not necessary to discuss relationships or events of the past. Instead, your coach will teach you about how your subconscious works and guide you through creating positive, useful jobs for your subconscious, as well as teaching you tools to respond to a surprising, emotional situation in a calm, collected manner. There is much more to these tools and the coaching process is very educational, too.I think of the Burris Method as two separate sets of tools/helpers: one is the city planner, the other is the firefighter. The city planner looks at your personal goals and helps get you to them with empowering questions. And the firefighter is there to shut down any spirals of negative, destructive thoughts and replace the negative with a positive image of the best you. Together these two helpers are an incredible force for moving your life forward, regardless of what has come before.This is a system that will change your life in ways you can’t understand until you realize that your days are just easier, more productive, and happier.
