I can't say enough (good) about Burkard Photos and Angela...but I will try!
First, she's very prompt. From the moment I called her to inquire about photos, to selecting a location (well, trying to narrow down a place between two) at the last minutes, she was accessible and ready to advise.
She also helped with picking outfits (what would look cute for the camera and what she's done in the past) and also emailed examples of other photo shoots she had done.
Second, she's fast. Our photo shoot was done in an hour and fifteen minutes - just befor the natives (aka my young boys, 7 and 4) got restless. And in less than 24 hours we had the photos! Perfect for my last minute photo shoot request and Christmas cards and gifts I needed to get done.
Third, she's nice and fun. We all had a great time at the shoot and she had great ideas.
Last, but not least, competitive pricing - she offers a great product for a great (and very reasonable) price.
Thanks again Angela! Look forward to doing it again soon!!! (Once I sort through all the fun pictures from yesterday's shoot :-))

Getting family pictures with 3 kids, including one uncooperative toddler is no easy feat. But Angela always makes us feel at ease and never stops snapping the camera. I needed a photographer to take pictures of my son for his first birthday and family pictures for our Christmas cards. I was so happy that Angela was able to fit us in for a family session when another photographer contact fell through for me. She responds to messages quickly and so it was easy to get all setup. We took pictures at Sweetwater bridge in Rancho San Diego and she was very professional and quick when it came to taking pictures of our squirmy son (11 months). So so so happy with our session with Angela and her work! We booked a mini shoot with her last minute for our Christmas cards. Not only did she get us in super quick, but the shoot and results were great! She brought props, clearly knew her lighting and worked with our crazy little family amazingly. Thanks to Angela our maternity shoot was so easy for us and our 2 year old. She knew exactly what to do to keep him engaged and willing to smile. Angela was absolutely amazing!!!
She made sure to get every shot on my list and had great ideas of her own! I'm also plus size and hate 99% of photos of me - but love allllll of the ones from her!
I felt comfortable telling her my problem areas and she made sure to get the best flattering angles start to finish! She even insisted on helping carry my items and had candy on hand as a reward for my crazy kiddo so long as he listened and I approved (talk about thoughtful!). I didn't feel rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed the night start to finish � thank you again for capturing mommy and mes that I never get! �� LOVE my photos.

My husband and I met Angela at the beginning of our foster/adoptive journey. We met her when she posted a crib for sale.
We met Angela at her home and I saw some other "children's" furniture in her garage and inquired about them. That's when Angela told us she was a photographer. I kept her in mind for an idea we had to announce our intentions of fostering/adopting but then things moved quicker than we'd planned and so our idea to announce via photos went by the way side.
Recently I had a photographer lined up to take Christmas photos for us but due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel. That's when I recalled Angela and reached out to her. I knew it was a long shot especially as close to Christmas as it was but I had to try. Not only did Angela make it work but she spent so much time with us making sure she got all the photos on my list. We have two under 2 and any parent who has had two under 2 can attest to how difficult it can be to manage time and personalities. Angela was a rock star. She just rode with tidal wave with us and let us regroup when we needed to and helped us try to keep our littles smiling.
There really are no words to describe the gift she gave to our family. We have no idea if these two will stay but she captured moments we would otherwise never get back. Now they are etched on paper. Those beautiful faces, their laughs. The photos of my husband and the children. I just can't get over them. How she was able to capture real life as it happened but in such a fantastic way. The photos look far from staged and that is what I wanted.
Angela has a customer for life. We can't thank her enough for her kindness, and her talent. We love our photos and can't wait to have her capture many more moments for us. Thank you!

Angela is awesome! My husband and I are so pleased with our maternity photos. She was so easy to work with, gave great direction during the shoot and was also very responsive and accommodating even with our last minute booking and being right in the middle of the holiday season! We just had our newborn shoot and she was just as great working with our son. She came to our condo and turned our (very small) living room into a mini studio!
