I live in Birmingham but my mother lives in Cheltenham. Today I ordered long before the cut off for same day delivery, for some flowers for my mother's birthday today. I received an email confirming they had received the order and PayPal emailed me to confirm I had authorised the payment and it would be debited from my account once the company finalises the order. Come 3.30pm ish I realise the order was still showing as pending on their website. My partner called up to see what was going on, and they said they had not received the order and had already delivered all of today's orders. She told my partner she would call back after she had spoken to the delivery driver (who happened to be the owner). She called my partner back at 16:05 (they close at 17:00) saying that there was no way they could deliver today now, as the delivery driver (owner) was 45 mins away from the shop. They claimed their website had not emailed them my order request or something like that. Considering I had received the confirmation email and I had provided my payment details, ultimately whatever reason for them not receiving the order, is not my fault. If they are saying the website didn't forward onto them the email about my order, then I'd suggest there's an issue with their website, which is their responsibility to ensure it is functioning correctly to serve customers. Based on what the employee told my partner, the owner would have been back at the shop at 4:45pm. My parents address is less than 15 minutes from their shop. I believe this is a local and independent business. Well if it were your business and livelihood, and it was effectively your shoddy website which meant the customer's order wasn't fulfilled, wouldn't you stay a bit late to get the order done and avoid upsetting the customer, losing their business and the associated negative online reviews which would inevitably follow? Because I certainly would if it were my company. If I were them, I'd have stayed late to resolve the situation or paid a taxi driver to take the flowers to the customer at my cost - essentially done whatever it took to avoid upsetting the customer. Their 'resolution' was to refund me or deliver the flowers the next day? How about as it was your mistake , you deliver the flowers the next day for FREE or a massively reduced price? Even this wouldn't have solved it, as my mum's birthday is today not tomorrow. So I think just saying "sorry we'll refund the money or deliver it tomorrow instead" is a pretty lame resolution. Business is about a long game and sometimes it's better to leave work a bit late or lose some profit this time, to retain the customer. I'll get married one day and will need flowers; I'll have anniversaries; birthdays etc. I don't forget things easily. Had they done what needed to be done to resolve it, I'd have remembered that and taken my custom back to them for years to come. But there's plenty of florists in Cheltenham, so why would I chose the one that let me down? At least it was just a birthday (although people don't live forever, so birthdays still matter). Imagine it was a funeral and their website hadn't sent them the order and the coffin was bare with no flowers on it... "Sorry, we can refund you or deliver the flowers tomorrow" - not much help having coffin flowers when the body and coffin have already been buried or cremated is it! More...

I have used this florist before to send flowers to my mother-in-law for her birthday etc.
I used them again for her funeral yesterday.
Dealing with them on the phone I spoke to a very nice chap called Richard who helped & guided me to what I wanted which was 'mum' in pale pink hyacinth & cream Avalanche roses..he also helped in ordering two arrangement one from our daughter & one from our niece..but when you are a 3 hr journey away you are left not knowing how these arrangements are going to turn out ! But when we saw the flowers yesterday they were absolutely beautiful.. Stunning in fact I can't thank you enough Richard at bumblebeez florist Cheltenham enough..photo's to follow !

Late last Saturday night whilst away from the area I was asked if I could arrange for some flowers for a dear friends funeral which was to be held Tuesday mornng, dont forget, this is a holiday weekend and nothing open. I checked Bumblebeez website, chose a wreath,sent an email and crossed my fingers. Sunday morning I had response to my email saying that this would be done - relief.
