Alright until after planning approved. Had no after support or assistance from associate structural engineer. Too busy with other projects. Drawings supplied were no use for builders. More...

Q&As

Decide if it's large enough for the alterations you wish to carry out, is it dry and stable. Is the garage integral to your house or does a link need to be constructed. Can you convert it in a contemporary way with views out over your garden. Are there sufficient services close to the garage for convenient connections. Consider any drainage. It all depends on what you want to use your garage for ? We can help with all these decisions.

The process is always the same, send of plans to your local authority to obtain approval for the conversion, then arrange to undertake the work with a local builder. Obtain best prices, check the works your builder has completed recently, and then appoint your contractor on a fixed price quotation and an agreed cash flow forecast. Our motto is always "keep it simple" Make sure you fully understand exactly what your builder is providing within his price and agree a start and a completion date. Follow this tried and tested process and your project will run smoothly.

There needs to be sufficient headroom, a habitable room has to be 2.4m in height across most of the room. With lofts there are often sloping roofs. Every loft is different so a survey of the space available is required.

Survey the loft / prepare the plans and calculations for the structural support. Obtain approval of these plans from the Local Authority.

Undertake the works - "keep it simple"

Meeting different people and helping them with their project.

I qualified as a Surveyor and worked locally for a large surveying practice. I soon had the passion to work for myself and so established my own company. I have been involved with many construction projects over the years, both small projects and large projects. Whatever the size of your project you follow the same process and it all starts with drawings of your existing building. A discussion follows of want you would like to achieve and plans are prepared to obtain building approval from your Local Authority for the building works you intend to carry out. The inspiration continues to this day, ever building is different.

I offer a swift turn around and competitive pricing.
