I would 100% recommend Buckle Up Driving School to anyone. Jessica is an amazing instructor yet her lesson prices are extremely reasonable. After months of having a previous bad instructor, Buckle Up Driving School was a breath of fresh air to me!! Jess made me feel so much more at ease and built my confidence right up so I could take my test and pass first time!! You can always have a good laugh with Jess and she is really friendly and it’s clear she loves her job. I learnt soo much in her lessons as Jess explains the things you find complicated, manoeuvres in my case, in way that just makes sense to you!! She tailors every lesson to you. Buckle up Driving School is never late or anything, never messes you around and works around YOU. I had such a hard time learning to drive and have had 4 previous instructors but I can honestly say that Jess is hands down the BEST instructor there is in Derby! She’s so patient, doesn’t over complicate explications and keeps you calm throughout your lessons which is what every nervous learner needs! After not driving for 3 years I had a 2 hour refresher driving lesson today and it was great. Jessica supported me to drive again balancing a sense of being calm and reassuring with clear advise and instructions. I would recommend lessons with her for anyone whether total beginner or someone in need of a bit of a refresher.

I had 10 years away from professional lessons after a horrific test that left me with very little confidence in my driving ability(I was NOT ready! ).
But I bit the bullet and signed up for lessons with Jess. While I'm sure the 10 years has matured me a little; I have no doubt that Jess' skill as an instructor led to my pass just 4 1/2 months later.
Her friendly, calm and reassuring nature put me at ease in the car and our hour long lessons quickly became an opportunity for a good natter (alongside lots of learning too!).
Manoeuvres were a big concern when getting back in the driving seat but Jess was incredibly adaptable to my learning style and the curious logic of my brain; so was able to get me reversing my way around cars, corners and into bays in no time! So much so that I had a big grin on my face when I had to parallel park on my test!
As a person who likes clear ideas of the test perameters (I think it comes with being a teacher!) Jess was able to clearly explain the requirements of the test as well as give useful driving tips for driving in 'real life'; thus certainly put my mind at ease and reduced my jitters on test day.

Having had a few instructors before Jessica I felt I was destined never to learn how to drive. However Jessica completely changed this. Jess has been an excellent instructor with great patience. She puts you at ease and does a brilliant job of getting you to reflect on your mistakes to improve. During my time learning she was very flexible with lesson times, which was a great help. I wanted to be able to pass my test and drive with confidence independantly so we spent more lessons tackling challenging roads and weaknesses, this worked out well with a first time pass! Jessica's teaching was efficient and focused. She is able to adapt to learning styles and clearly puts a good amount of thought into how to structure sessions. At the end of session I'd be given overall feedback in addition to the ongoing feedback throughout and we would discuss together which areas to focus on for the following lesson. Jessica was well-organised, flexible and adaptable - this really helped with fitting in lessons around my work, which can have quite an irregular shift pattern at times, and was something I had found difficult with my previous instructor. Jessica is an excellent driving instructor. She is very patient and knowledgeable, and teaches in a way that is very supportive. She's also a great person to chat to during lessons!

I passed with her in 8 months (with just 2 minors), and I could not be happier with the instruction I received. Everything Jessica taught me when I was learning has stayed with me now when I drive on my own. In real driving situations, I am always confident in my ability because of what Jessica taught me.

Can't recommend Jessica enough!! I started learning at the beginning of May and in just over 4 months have passed my test first time with 0 minors! I had absolutely no confidence when I first started learning and know that I would never have done so well with another instructor.

Jess was patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable! She is great to have a good chat with and really flexible around busy work schedules changing every week.
