Have just been for Christmas lunch which was excellent, lovely hot salmon & oatcakes starter, turkey and beef with all trimmings and gorgeous mushroom and Drambuie sauce. Really good experience. Nice warm welcome on arrival. Seated at pre-booked table for ten. 8 adults and 2 children. Drinks order taken and served very quickly. Food choice excellent. Christmas Menu, Carvery and Children’s Menu. Ordered 2 children’s meal and then all adults went for carvery. Excellent choice of roasts, vegetables and accompaniments. All had very delightful sweets. Nice decor but Inattentive staff seems to be the norm. Certainly could not fault the meals. The carvery was very nice, generous and hot. Well done! This is not the first time by some distance that we have had to ask the staff to be served as they stand around chatting together.
