Got a deal for a weekend stay here and went with my wife and another couple. Absolutely beautiful setting. Majority of the place recently done up and it looks spectacular. Facilities are great as well. Can't speak for the golf course but from the sidelines looks like a good one. ;) Food and high tea was top notch as well. They also did very well to cater for my wife who is gluten free. More...

We attended a wedding here it's in a beautiful spot , ideal for a wedding.and the food was excellent. Rooms standard nothing special so a bit expensive for what they are but the suites for couples getting married are lovely and I imagine some of the rooms in the main part of the hotel are nice but would be more money. There is a golf course here so nice for a special golfing trip. Would definately recommend staying here if you're not worries about cost. More...

This is a place to get away from it all and while away the hours.
Eating in the orangery, looking out at the stunning views is to be recommended.
Or cosy up with a hot chocolate in front of the open fire with a good book!
The decor and finishing touches in this hotel are top class.

Very pleasant place to stay. Friendly staff that are also very helpful. Rooms are well presented and tidy. Food is first class and comes from the kitchen piping hot. I would agree with other peoples feed back in the fact that drinks can be a bit expensive. But overal would highly reccomend a stay here. More...

We enjoyed a three course lunch for 20 family members at the weekend. The restaurant was specially booked out for us so we didn't have to share with anyone else. The food was chosen in advance from a selection given by the restaurant. I cannot fault the flavours and presentation of the food at all, very nice. I had a terrine, beef and cheesecake. The waiting staff were helpful but mostly not getting in the way! We were made to feel very welcome and special. My family member whose birthday we celebrated felt very valued! The staff were only too happy to attend to lighting the candles on the cake we brought from home. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion. More...

Had our Christmas meal here. Wonderful food except for a couple of highly undercooked sprouts. Tried a few gins which were very tasty, I recommend the grapefruit gin! Our room was a medium sized double, the bed itself was huge and comfy, though my wife found it a little on the soft side. Breakfast was a help yourself affair and perfectly acceptable. Yoghurts, fruit, some tinned, some fresh, plus all the usual English breakfast items. All in a very positive experience. More...

Lovely place, Xmas party was amazing and we were there at a time where the Tewkesbury area had no water so no fault of the hotel but they made it so easy to stay still !! Definitely give star experience

Stayed here a couple of times, enjoy it. Love the bar with wood burner and friendly staff. Beautiful grounds.
Snags: Rooms are a cumbersome walk away from the main part of the hotel, no lifts.
'Luxury' might not apply to rooms, which are comfy but straightforward (although hot water bottle a nice touch), nor the restaurant which has good (pub-esque) food but their small menu doesn't seem to change. Veggie option a bit dull.

Absolutely perfect stay. The staff were some of the nicest we've ever encountered and nothing was too much for them. Our room was beautiful and we had an incredible view over the golf course and hills beyond. We can't wait to come back!

With its grey/blue colour scheme, this hotel could look cold and drab. However, with clever use of greenery, accessories, and touches of tweed, the place feels a mix of calm, class and cosiness. Local and British products are celebrated and supported here. The surrounding golf course enhances the tranquility. There are fantastic views of the surrounding landscape. The rooms feel comfortable, with a selection of storage and king-size beds. More...

Excellent stay booked the night before. The location is super, on top of a rise with wide views to hills and valley across the golf course.
Inside the refurbishment works very well. Not the twee country house decor, instead modern, restful and plush. Public spaces are beautifully presented, with corners, nooks, tables, sofas and armchairs. Books and magazines abound for browsing.
Rooms are are also refurbished. Ours was third floor with more super views. Beds deep and comfortable. Bathroom compact, functional and fine.
DIning was from the bar menu which had plenty of choices. Pizzas are very cheesy. Drinks reasonable priced.
Leisure centre also refurbished. Pool is fine, steam room and sauna small but work well. Outdoor area leads to a raised jacuzzi. All feel new.
