We stayed in the large rooms located in the separate building behind the main house. The rooms were spacious and private. There is a very large spa/tub in each bathroom, which is very nice at the end of a long day on your feet.

My husband and I have been coming to Tanglewood for the past 30+ years. During that time span we have stayed in many of the inns and B&B’s in the Lenox area, but once we found Brook Farm Inn we’ve never stayed elsewhere. This is the “Crown Jewel” of lodging facilities! ||||Located minutes from Tanglewood and within a short walk to Lenox village, it is convenient to many of the Berkshire cultural sites. The inn is tastefully decorated, the buffet breakfast is delicious and the innkeepers are gracious, accommodating and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Three of us stayed for 3 nights at the Brook Farm Inn in the Shadowood Green Room.||The room is extremely large and has a new king bed and a single, so perfect for us. ||It was nicely appointed, with fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom is huge, with soft towels and extremely good lighting.||The breakfast is a continental one, with one hot dish, whether it be souffle, quiche or egg casserole. The fruit is fresh and the varieties of breads, bagels, and muffins were plenty.||The best part about the Brook Farm Inn, are the innkeepers, Linda and Phil. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel at home, and are a continual presence for any questions you might have about the area.||I will not hesitate to recommend the Brook Farm to my clients and friends. We were delighted with our choice of the Brook Farm Inn, and from now on this is where we'll be staying during our Lenox visits. We especially enjoyed meeting our hosts, chatting with them a variety of topics, from the history of the inn, to their collection of poetry, to what it's like to live year-round in the Berkshires. Our room was lovely, with the one drawback being the steep flight of stairs up to the third floor, but we looked on the exercise as balancing the calories of delicious breakfast buffet that was served. We then had homemade scones and tea in front of the library fire, and the Inn owners gave us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco! They made reservations for us at Zinc - which was amazing. We were treated really well by the hosts and appreciate it. It terms of hotel amenities, it is a beautiful multi room older Victorian home, with a library and a great area for breakfast and afternoon tea. Rooms are also decorated as such so if you are really not into that decor you may want to consider something more modern. Breakfast was very simple and did not have many choices but I guess it is a side effect of the off season travel. || Location is also good, in the warmer months its a walk to downtown Lenox and a lot of other Berkshires attractions are within driving distance. What an delight! Just passing through Lenox on a bit of a road trip, but made a reservation at Brook Farm Inn to ensure I had a great night on the road - and I did! The historic house is fabulous: clean, beautifully decorated, and perfectly situated to allow you to enjoy Lenox. Breakfast was really yummy, and our hosts were affable, charming, and dedicated to the details. One of the best parts? My wife and I stayed at the Brook Farm Inn for 3 nights (Fri-Mon) to celebrate our anniversary. The inn has a cozy fireplace in the entrance, as well as several of the rooms (ours did) which was a huge perk for us. The breakfast every day was great, organic and healthy fare --not the standard "continental breakfast" you get at big chains. Since we're expecting, my wife was able to do sign up for the prenatal massage onsite which she said was lovely. My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Brooks Farm. It was exactly the quiet, charming, warm and restful place we were expecting and needed. This past weekend (1/19-1/21/18) we did a husband & wife get-a-way weekend at the Brook Farm Inn while our kids were at a camp in Pittsfield. It really felt like they were running a B&B just for us. Both breakfasts it felt like Robert and Angela were tailoring everything just for us. The food was great and felt really healthy too. We had real conversation with both of them that quickly moved out of the realm of small talk to interesting and fun. They were really accommodating for a late check-out on Sunday for us (it almost felt like a "leave whenever you want" - laugh). Some may not like it but I really liked the way the room was almost intending an "unplugged" experience. TV is hidden behind a painting on hinges. There wasn't even a clock so it became hard to care about the time as much. It was very relaxing. Very quiet which was great. HUGE king size bed. HUGE bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub. I loved the just turn the knob fireplace (honestly we did overheat ourselves a bit because it was so nice & easy to use and fun to watch the fire). We sat in front of it a few times and even just watched it from bed a bit too. My wife enjoyed her massage very much as well. Overall I'd say it was pretty much exactly what we wanted. In Lenox we enjoyed Brava, Guidos, & Chocolate Springs. Because we were so full from breakfast we only ate 1 other meal each a day. More...

My husband and I have been going to Brook Farm for twenty seven years. Angela and John took over the business a few years ago when the previous innkeepers retired. They are doing a fabulous job, and are the nicest people. The B & B is always clean, beautiful and comfortable, and it truly has been our home away from home when we visit the Berkshires. I could not imagine staying anywhere else. The innkeepers and the manager are extremely accommodating and will go out of their way to make your trip special.
