Red Velvet Bakery created the wedding cake of our dreams. We had a particular theme we wanted (Disney and Harry Potter) and Toni worked closely with us to ensure it fit our theme but wasn’t over the top. Communication was absolutely fantastic all the way through the booking thing process, even when I requested last minute changes. We met Toni at a wedding fayre and after tasting her cakes, we knew there was no one else we wanted. It is the most delicious cake you will ever eat. She has a fantastic range of flavours to choose from as well. We opted for vanilla, chocolate fudge and lemon and raspberry. She also made us cookie wedding favours which were amazing! Toni is the most nicest lady you’ll ever meet she is very talented and our wedding cake that she made was absolutely stunning we chose 3 flavours they were delicious she is able to create anything to everyone’s taste. I met Toni in 2019 first planning of our wedding I saw a design of one of her cakes I just fell in love with and I asked for the design with my own colours and added my own ideas which she helped along with. I was very luckily treated to a one to one sugar craft and cake decorating lesson with Toni @ Red velvet Bakery for my birthday and due to Covid this had been on hold for over a year but this weekend we were able to finally go ahead … now before I attended this course this weekend I had never made a fondant flower or leaf and never successfully covered a cake in fondant. Toni tailored the sessions to exactly what I wanted to learn and when I say the lessons were jam packed I am not kidding … her style of teaching is to show you how and then patiently watch and verbally guide whilst you attempt what you have seen … her knowledge and skill is second to none and I have learnt so so much this weekend … everything was provided including a lovely lunch and a consistent supply of beverages … I have come away with a two tier fully decorated dummy cake incorporating two types of sugarcraft flowers, leaves, buds, berries and twigs fully covered in fondant and fondant to practice with at home … I honestly still cannot believe I have been able to produce what I have this weekend but if that doesn’t speak volumes for the quality of teaching nothing will … I will be back again and again More...

Toni made our wedding cake for the 23/10/2021 we had a cake tasting session so we could try all the flavors which all of them were delicious which made our choice very hard but we went for the chocolate orange for 1 tier and a victor sponge for other tier. We shown Toni a picture of what we was looking and she was amazing with giving advice if we wasn’t sure on how we wanted something to look . On the wedding day I was blown away with how amazing the cake looked and how perfect it looked and tasted. If you need a cake making then Toni is your women I would 1000% Recommended her and also great prices to 😊 . Toni is incredible! She created the most unique wedding cake for us just from a photograph (due to Covid). It was so delicious that it was meant to serve 30 and last ages but we finished it pretty much overnight! Toffee apple cake and buttercream, crafted into a basked full of pumpkins! We met Toni at a wedding fayre and from the get go she made us feel very comfortable, not to mention the cake was delicious! We decided very quickly we wanted Toni to make our wedding cake. We chose a 3 tier wedding cake with spiced chai tea, white chocolate & raspberry and lemon - all 3 flavours went down a treat at the wedding!! Seeing our wedding cake on the day was amazing, our ideas had all came together!! Toni also helped us sort out a cake topper and fresh flowers for our cake. As well as our cake, Toni also made us some biscuits which we doubled up as our favours/place cards, these also tasted amazing!! We couldn't recommend Toni enough. I don't even know where to start! we met with Toni for our wedding cake appointment and was truly blown away by how amazing of a person she was and willing to cater to all of our expectations not to mention her cakes are the most amazing cakes I have ever tried. We came across Red Velvet Bakery by complete chance, and how happy we are to have done so. I was planning on making my own wedding cake but, with the extra stress of trying to plan a wedding around Covid I just couldn't bear giving myself extra work to do. Throughout the entire process Toni was nothing short of wonderful. Setting up zoom meetings, sending out samples in the post, attending our second wedding as a second photographer, and lastly, of course, providing us with SUCH a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. We went for a two tier, semi naked cake, with Lemon and Raspberry on one tier, and Sticky Toffee for the second. We were not disappointed. I am not one for cake. But this cake is something entirely different. It is not in the realm of 'ordinary cake'. Not only did it look stunning, by god, this cake tastes good. Its the kind of 'neurgh I feel sick I've eaten so much cake...but...just one...slice...more...' kind of cake. We loved it. Our guests loved it. The kids loved it. We loved it some more. I asked Toni if she could make me a vegan celebration cake for my husband’s 60th birthday - as we were in lockdown the cake needed to be really special. Bless her she’d not made a vegan cake before but rose to the challenge beautifully. See the finished cake below. It tasted awesome. I can not recommend this lovely lady enough! Toni has gone above and beyond with the time and effort that she has put into the design of my wedding cake. ???? Our cake isn't the normal cake either so to see how excited she got and creative is amazing! Toni and her husband Stuart ( Portfolio Photographic) held a skype call and we discuss everything We didn't even have to think twice about booking them both. I have know the Boss of the red velvet bakery for a good few years now and have been left speechless by Toni's work.
