As a wedding planner, I love nothing more than a blank canvas like Brick! I had previously worked with the venue when I sold event rentals but I finally had my first experience getting to coordinate and execute a wedding from start to finish in the space.
You have so much freedom to bring your vision to life and Victoria, Mallory and Ingrid were all helpful in the planning process.
I don't recommend couples to tackle this venue alone because there are a lot of moving parts and someone will need to handle that for you come the day-of. I have seen this venue grow to be one of the most sought after spaces in San Diego and I am proud to have been able to do an event there.
Mallory was our Client Concierge for this particular wedding on April 20th and she was great at answering our questions during the planning process. I hope to be able to work there again soon and look forward to working with their amazing team!

Where to even start? BRICK is an amazing wedding venue, but their coordination services is really what makes it special. Victoria was our coordinator and I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work in helping make our wedding day perfect. Victoria truly exceeded any and all expectations I had when it came to a coordinator. She made my year of wedding planning fun, easy, and as stress free as possible. She saved us some much time when it came to researching and reaching out to vendors, and she offered honest opinions when asked. Victoria also took care of all our contracts and coordinating with our vendors to finalize our proposals. To have someone worrying about the little details for you, in addition to creating the perfect timeline for your big day, is HUGE in those last few weeks before your wedding. Hiring BRICK coordination was seriously one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. Hands down, if you're getting married at BRICK, add this service! It's a game-changer. BRICK is already such a cool and unique space that working with someone who knows it well and has connections with vendors really makes all the difference in transforming the space into your dream wedding. My husband and I got married at Brick on 10/6/18 and it was dreamy!! Anyone who complains about the planes overhead must not have been having a good time at the wedding/party they were at because we barely even noticed them once our ceremony got underway. We chose the space because of the flexibility to choose your own vendors, the fact that there is no curfew and lastly, the location. Liberty Station itself is such a great spot with all of the restaurants and retail plus the proximity to the San Diego airport for out of town guests is so convenient. My husband and I are both event planners so we opted not to do coordination through Brick, however we worked closely with our venue contact - Mallory - and she was wonderful. She was super responsive and very helpful. She had great tips and insight whenever we were unsure of something or wanted to know best practices. We worked with all of our vendors and sorted out the logistics and then handed it off to a day of coordinator (freelance) who made it all come to life. We hired Brick Beverage for the bar and I would highly recommend them. Ashleigh was phenomenal to work with. We purchased all of our alcohol through BevMo and they delivered it day of and chilled. We had one minor issue during the reception when our lighting went out and had to be re-calibrated, but other than that I have no complaints. I highly recommend this venue and this staff! More...

We had our daughter's wedding yesterday at Brick and it was an extraordinary experience! The venue was just the style my daughter and her fiance wanted, and they were able to bring their unique vision into it. But even better than the venue itself was the wedding coordinator, Ashleigh Glod, and her staff. We could not have done it without her. She is super organized, detail-oriented, creative and an excellent communicator. The ceremony & reception were awesome -- we have been getting texts all day long today from friends telling us how spectacular the wedding was. This is in NO small part due to Ashleigh's involvement. We are going to a friend's wedding at Brick next month and we can't wait to see how they bring their vision alive at this great venue. More...

Great Venue!! The size of the space is perfect for a wedding or event. You have the freedom to choose your own vendors for your event with this venue. If you pay extra for the Brick Coordination, you'll be completely stress free!! Trust me it's worth it! They help out with everything and the coordinators are so friendly!! The location is perfect!! My husband and I had a very long engagement but that didn't stop Ashleigh Glod and Victoria LaHood from being available every step of the way. They are impressively detail oriented and organized. They have a very balanced approach of asking you for your opinions and also making decisions when it comes to questions from vendors (for the record, I trusted every single one of their decisions- they have impeccable style when it comes to big events!) They were in contact with all of my vendors, created a beautiful timeline (complete with pictures of my husband and myself), and went out of their way to make me feel relaxed and excited about my wedding instead of stressed and scrambling. I would (and already have) recommended Brick and their coordination team to any of my close friends or family planning a wedding/ event. Brick, itself, is a centralized location with a ton of good photo-ops close by. It's layout is so open that I felt like I was with each of our guests the whole night. This is such a unique event space! I held a National Charity League event here and it was the perfect space. It is hard to find a cool space in San Diego that is urban and has a great vibe. Where do I begin when it comes to my love for BRICK?! The venue, in my humble opinion, sells itself - it's a blank canvas to make your own, but with enough beauty and character to inspire you/ your theme and dream.
The flexibility offered - from choosing your own vendors to designing your own event hours and flow - is priceless.
The real value comes in with the BRICK coordination team - we're talking Superwoman (Ashleigh) and two Wonderwomen (Chantal and Victoria). While you're technically hiring 'month of' coordinators, they are by your side right from the moment you sign the contract, and are an invaluable resource along the way (especially for those of us who had ZERO idea what they were doing when it comes to wedding planning) - from assistance with reviewing contracts and navigating a complex web of vendors, to helping manage vendor communication and offering 'bride therapy' on a regular basis.
They took a bride's blurry vision and dozens of boxes of stuff, and I walked into the wedding of my dreams - I honestly still don't know how they did it, but I am eternally grateful. As icing on the cake, they will go the extra mile for you in any way they can - and in my case, that was making a homemade aisle runner that I was unable to find the time to make myself. I can say without hesitation that they are the best investment you can make alongside a wedding at BRICK, and I will consider them my wedding superheroes for life!

Brick is such a beautiful venue! We are so happy we chose it for our reception. The only issue we had is we used their digital photo booth and the photos were never sent out to our guests emails.
When I reached out to Ingrid about it she said she would look into it but regardless we will get a copy of all the photos that were taken.
Our wedding was two weeks ago and I am bummed because we still haven't received anything.
Brick is honestly one of the coolest wedding venues in san diego. Learn from my mistake and use someone else for the photobooth though.

Awesome, flexible venue for anyone looking for an indoor reception in the San Diego area! Industrial, concrete floors, exposed brick mixed with modern, delicate details made for a very cool vibe. Plus a 24 hour rental to do basically whatever you want -- no noise ordinance, no curfew, almost any vendor you want! This flexibility made the planning process that much more fun for us since we were able to customize our reception to what WE wanted instead of what the venue permitted. This venue had everything we wanted in more. Me and my (now) husband wanted to have a wedding that truly reflected our personalities and style.
The BRICK was such a beautiful empty campus that we got to make our dream wedding come to life. Plus the fact that the rustic interior and romantic market lights make such a dreamy atmostphere that there wasn't a lot of need for further decorations. Ashleigh, our personal contact for our wedding, was perfect. She was super helpful offering recommendations and making sure we got everything done on time. That way we didn't have to stress about anything before the wedding.
If you're looking for a venue to make your own, this is the best place to go.
