Selling our house, we had a mortgage valuer who made some spurious claims regards damp and timber in our property without actually checking anything thoroughly. Paul Glover called to the house, listened to what we'd had done previously, talked us through what he was doing, checked the house from top to bottom, made recommendations where necessary but also, more importantly, told us where no treatment was required.Couldn't recommend Brick Tie Preservation more highly; don't trust these companies that offer 'free reports' - they'll get their money somehow - go with a company you can trust. Great experience with Brick-Tie. We had the wall ties done on our 3-bed semi in Harrogate. The survey was done punctually. We agreed a date for the job to be done. Brick-tie issued very modest prep instructions a couple of days before. The engineers turned up on the day and did the work efficiently, politely and more quickly than expected.Only downside was how long it took between booking the job in and the job being done, but hey, can't complain - I think they're busy because they're good!The job was completed in 1 day instead of 2 and we received a 27% discount. I found Brick-Tie to be a very honest company; we didn't even have to ask for the discount, they called up and offered it. I really appreciated that honesty because unless you're a wall cavity specialist, it's impossible to know whether the wall tie change is really necessary/advisable/reliable/good value. Brick-Tie were fantastic, for a few year my girlfriend and myself have had a damp problem in the house and have spent loads of money chasing the cause. Different companies kept promising this will fix it once and for all. However all these promise's have failed and in retrospect were having a guess at the cause themselves.Bryan came round himself and had a good look at the issue. Almost immediately he impressed by actually giving a scientific explanation and what to do to rectify it. His knowledge and professionalism was a fantastic relief and all he asked for was for a cup of tea!I would recommend the company to anyone it's easy for someone to promise and not deliver but almost immediately the change was evident and the damp smell and patches have gone.
