We used Bric interiors to manage the refurbishment of our new Restaurant eòrna in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. We found the experience to be entirely positive from the moment we began the conversation. Bally Taylor (Bric's owner) and Marni who led the work were just amazing to be around - they were absolutely filled with ideas on style and materials which we could never have come up with, but also took guidance to make sure they delivered something we would love. They communicated everything they were working on in real time, so we felt like we were always aware of our timescale and budget. They managed a wide variety of different contractors with different specialities in order to have the works all take place at the correct time, and achieved the entire job on schedule in a much shorter timeline than would have been ideal! We have only just started working with Bally and the team at BRIC Interiors and they do not disappoint. My husband and I went for our first meeting yesterday and we were blown away with how professional their presentation for our restaurant garden room was for us. They are truly FANTASTIC at what they do. Bally’s eye for detail, especially for restaurant interior has been incredible. What really helped was The VR experience we were given of the restaurant plan. It allows you to virtually step into the designed space and take a walk around and really have a sense of what everything will look like. Having worked with various interior designers in the past and not always having had a positive experience, working with Bally/BRIC has been a breath of fresh air and a very enjoyable process. Whilst we have a keen interest in the design process and had some clear ideas, BRIC really helped to bring these to life through both the design process and through the practical aspects with an end result that we are delighted with. The design process was fantastic in that the team from BRIC used both mood boards and visual images of the 4 rooms that they helped us design. Bally spent the time getting to know who we were and how we wanted to live and was patient and respectful of our decision making time - allowing us space to think through what we wanted and was considerate of the need for us to balance other parts of the project work at the same time. Bally and Paul have built a truly beautiful custom-made, large curved sofa and two chairs all designed remotely. I didn't think it would be possible to design custom furniture remotely, but they both worked with us to create a beautiful, contemporary curved sofa for a cinema/living room together with two chairs. Bally's expertise with fabrics and design combined with Paul's construction experience were invaluable to helping to get a sofa that was both functional and stunning. Every detail was carefully discussed (phone/video calls) to get the right shapes, fabrics, sizes, fillings, colours, etc. Also, as the door to the room is quite narrow, getting a 5/6 seater sofa into the room was always going to be a challenge, so it had to be constructed so that I could easy put it together when it arrived. However, Paul volunteered to do the 400 mile drive south to install it himself which was way beyond my expectations (and nice to meet him in person and say thank you!). Although the process took several months, Bally did a superb job of helping us get to a design we liked and then kept us informed of progress (including photos) whilst the furniture was being built. I highly recommend BRIC Interiors, as the work that Bally and Paul have done was amazing. Also, don't worry if you don't live in Edinburgh, as our experience has shown that Bally can still create a superb design that fits with everything else in your room. More...

We wanted to redecorate our main living room in our new home and had decided on a colour palette. However, work demands meant it would be a piecemeal project to do ourselves. Having met Bally at one of BRIC’s fun Christmas wreath making evenings, I sought her help. Bally has a real enthusiasm for colours, textures, fabrics and accessories and, while keeping to my original brief, she encouraged me to look at different products and fabrics which I may not otherwise have considered. Importantly, BRIC introduced highly skilled craftsmen in cabinet making, decorating, blinds and furniture manufacture, all bespoke to the project. As with anything in 2021, we inevitably hit bumps in the road but together retained our sense of humour. When I purchased my new home, I was starting from scratch and decided to search for an interior designer who not only would work within my budget and timescale but would understand the vision and concept of my plans and have the ability to integrate these plans with their professional expertise and resources. 

After researching various local interior designers, I found BRIC Interiors. I liked Bally from the outset because she listened carefully and understood what I was trying to accomplish while being personable and genuine. Bally and her team were sensitive to my needs and were able to translate my ideas and budget into a realistic plan. The completion date for my property was continually delayed and Bally and her team were able to deal with the complexity of this in a calm, reassuring and professional way.

I quickly realised that having a person I could trust and depend on was key to the overall success of the project. 

Bally and her team have excellent taste and resources and they know where to find the right products and materials. BRIC led me in new and different directions that provided beautiful solutions for my home.

The skilled workers and subcontractors she works with are first rate and magnificent in their craft and I found them all a pleasure to work with. Bally goes to great lengths to select only the best people to work with and she has built up a warm and genuine relationship with them which comes across when dealing with them.

When any issues arose as they always will within these projects, Bally and her team addresses them quickly and effectively. They are always checking with you to make sure you are happy and satisfied with the progress and the product as well as staying within budget.

BRIC Interiors is incredibly professional and well organised and this makes for a reassuring journey from start to finish.

Bric Interiors did a superb job of renovating my Edinburgh flat in the Grange for my parents to move into, which I had to organise from overseas where I work. Bally, Claire and the team were absolutely first class from start to finish, from design concept all the way through to execution. I can't thank them enough, both professionally and personally. Great experience dealing with Bric who transformed my newly purchased Town House in Edinburgh into a Home.
The design and materials selected were sensational and 5 years on i am still being complimented by visitors regarding the finished job .
I had never used an Interior Design firm before and Bally and her Team made the project very easy by guiding me through the process . Initially agreeing on a theme ( in this case recreating the Georgian effect of the original building ) and then helping me select appropriate colour schemes/materials .
