I called Brian about a year ago for help with my two terrier puppies. Brian figured out what worked for my dogs and helped me discipline/reward them accordingly. He’s not a “one size fits all” trainer which is what I love about him. I later enrolled my more feisty dog in his group class just for a different experience and reinforcement of the basics. He is effective whether you choose a group class or private so I can recommend both. He’s watchful and takes advantage when a teachable moment presents. Brian is amazing. We had just moved here to take care of my 93 yo mother. I (and everyone else) was terrified that my 93 pound very enthusiastic puppy would knock her over or would yank my arm out of its socket on walks. If you are looking for a dog/human trainer, Brian is the guy for you. We heard about Brian through a friend and decided to have a private lesson in our home. Within minutes, both my husband and I were amazed with the way he connected with our dog and us. I needed more training than our dog! Leon says thank you! In Jan., we adopted a 17lb. 2-3 yrs. old mixed terrier stray found in Nogales, on the euthanize list and then brought to Hope Animal Shelter in Tucson where he stayed for 7 months. He was semi-feral when he came home. In March, Brian began training us on how to work with Leon both coming to our house and in obedience class. Leon was leery of people and very reactive to dogs. He now is the poster child for making friends on his walk, he loves people, knows his commands (although being a terrier may have his own ideas of what he should do). Brian and Barbara were amazing. Shiloh has already been succesful with the stay commamd when she got loose and we saw her about 200 feet away across a ravine, She sat and stayed when told to, until he could get to her. Then Leave it worked very well the same day when we dropped a glass on the kitchen floor and it shattered. She never tried to get near the broken glass. Our 8 month old Akita puppy is much better behaved than she was 8 weeks ago. We are immensely grateful for Brians training and understanding. My dear Ardda, thank you for this feedback....I treasure your 1st sentence. The remainder of your review is, regrettably, not close to accurate. One of the risks taken when one enters into business is folks not being happy with every decision you make. Heck, I'M not always satisfied with every decision I make. Part of life is a disharmony at times. I genuinely like you, Ardda, and I nearly gave you a refund just for that reason. Because I'm also a principled, thoughtful person, I did not take this decision lightly. You have indeed received a response that you understood and were more than satisfied with when I spent 2 hours on the phone with you 6 months ago. We spent 20 minutes talking about dogs and the remainder talking about your life and family (insight I'm always grateful to have someone share with me). There was never any comment from me to 'think about it' and then let me know if you still wanted a refund. As I said then and restate now, your deciding the value of group classes after taking just one (and telling me you want to drop out and receive a refund an hour before the second class) is, at the least, shortsighted. Your failure to follow through with class doesn’t create a responsibility on my part, even if you feel your changed mind should somehow entitle you to this, especially since you told me you wanted Jasmine to learn all those things I promised to cover in the class. Everyone else learned them. Jasmine deserves more than your 'feeling' this won't work. I've always said that dogs are easy; humans are tougher, and boy is that the truth! I urge you to follow through, as this is most certainly not about money, but about you giving Jasmine the benefit of the very best you can offer her. It is my hope that you honor the relationship with Jasmine enough to give her the benefit of superior pack leadership. I say again, I consider you fully paid and you are welcome to claim your spot anytime...just say the word!😊

New puppy in the house and not being well-received by two older ones? YES! New puppy rambunctious and wants to play hard with the older ones? YES! Terrible terror in Tucson? YES! Enter Brian. Brian is a true dog whisper. I’ve been impressed with him from the minute I met him! I’ve learned soooo much from him, even more than my dog Rusty! Brian is so intuitive of Rusty’s behavior, from why he’s doing what he’s doing to how he’s interpreting my behavior. My friends see such an improvement in Rusty, from interacting with their dogs, not jumping on them and much less anxiety. I highly recommend him to help you with your relationship with your dog. I was positive my dogs were going to be a challenge for Brian, they have started fighting all of a sudden. Boy was I wrong, he was amazing! He got them to behave, not demand attention when the other was getting attention, and he even got them to walk together, when before they couldn't even look at each other without fighting! During our session I just kept saying, "Wow"! He got other dogs to do things I've never seen before, when they would chase us down the street Brian would do his "Signature trick" (I don't want to give his secrets away without permission). Each time the dogs stopped in their tracks, turned around and went back to where they came from...WOW!!! Brian taught me things you will not learn at a commercial pet store training class. He gave maybe 2 treats during the whole session, most of their rewards were being touched, pet and loved on. At pet store training classes, they encourage more expensive treats. If your dog won't do what you want it to do they tell you, "You need to purchase more high value treats to get the dog to do what you're asking it to do". Cesar Millan has nothing on Brian! We called our Vet's office for a recommendation for a trainer for our two male Whoodles, ages 1 and 4 years old. They definitely needed some training and discipline, neither of which we were very good at. Both dogs acted like sled dogs on their daily walk.
Brian came out and listened very attentively. He didn't push us, but
gave us ideas and tools we could use to help us get our desired results. Both dogs learned to walk better on their leashes.

Brian’s training skills were gifted to me by my son, who had him help with his two rescue boys and was so impressed with him that he figured he could help me with my boy who has severe fear aggression due to being attacked by two German Shepherds. Jagger immediately accepted Brian as his leader and responded beautifully. My concern was his response to other dogs, so he brought his great and calm dog Pedro over to see how he would react. I will tell you I was nervous and trying to hide it. Brian and Pedro did great with Jagger. They walked hip to hip, they played and Jagger let Pedro know only once that he didn’t like something. Brian who is a dog trainer at bark.com gets a 10 star rating from me. He came to my home and my dogs were very comfortable with him the minute he walked in the door, as I was. He was patient with them and very patient with me because I really needed help when I took them outside to go potty. If they would see another dog they would almost pull me down. It was just a matter of getting a new collar for them and today is the first day I wasn’t scared to take them outside. Having better control of my dogs is going to make my life so much better. Brian impacted our family from the moment he walked through the door of our house. We have a 3 yr old 14 lb silky Yorky terrier that was acting like a terror. .. barking at all other dogs on leash and not listening And even terrorizing other dogs at the park when off leash. He and another family pet got into a dangerous situation and we knew we needed help. Brian was able to help me and my family learn the importance of our body language and establish who is pack leader. Through a daily training walk our pup ( and the Family of humans) have made a complete turn around. We appreciate the whole person whole family approach and experience. We are now having him work with our adult daughter and her18 mo old bullnose terrier so we can all hang out in confidence and peace as a family. My partner and I adopted an adult dog from PACC this past January. We’ve had just 3 sessions with Brian and our dog, Jameson, has responded far beyond what we could have ever expected! Brian is calm and patient with Jameson and has positively taught both my partner and I along with Jameson during this process. Training with Brian is casual and comfortable and has truly fostered a strong bond between us and our new buddy.
