THE BEST! So many of our wedding guests are still commenting (months later!) on how unarguably delicious the food was, how creatively it was presented, and how lovely the staff was. We are The Driftwood Inn on Bailey island and they have come down to do two different types of wedding catering. Last year's was more of a finger food type of setting and this past weekend they did a more traditional sit down meal. And they impressed us with the quality of food and there wonderful staff iin the front and back of the house. We are going to suggest them to anyone that calls us about a wedding on our property! Bread & Butter catered our wedding this past August at Camp Encore/Coda. They provided us with absolutely wonderful and creative food, amazing staff, and service--Bread & Butter Catering was easily one of the highlights of our wedding day. People raved about our food, and my wife and I really prioritized providing a unique, quality wedding-food experience for our guests. Katie and Josh put together a taco bar that the world had never seen! Our family and friends were happily surprised to see our wedding fare really capture our personalities as a couple, and for that we are grateful. They were wonderful partners in planning, too. I can't say enough positive things about Bread and Butter Catering. As if the delicious food and beautiful presentations they create wasn't enough on its own, the entire team of people that make up B&B are incredible. We first hired them for our September wedding at The Portland Company after they were recommended to us by the venue as one of the catering groups that has worked in the space many times and is very familiar with it. We checked out their website and menu, reached out, and got a fast and super friendly response back. After meeting with Kelly, Katie and Josh in person, getting to do a taste testing of a bunch of their locally inspired, seasonal, unpretentious and beautiful samples, we fell in love with everything they're about. So we not only ended up hiring them to cater our reception, but we also jumped at the chance to hire Kelly for day-of coordinating services and for the team to cater our rehearsal dinner the night before! Over the next 16 months they went above and beyond to make sure we were organized, helped us coordinate with many of our other vendors, kept us up to date on all the seasonal changes to the menu and let us make special requests for what we'd offer our guests, and made sure we (and our parents) weren't stressing out. The weekend was more than we could have dreamed of and was full of amazing food for us and all 185 of our guests thanks entirely to Kelly, Katie, Josh and the whole Bread and Butter crew. I’ve been at events that Bread & Butter catered and have always been impressed by the food, which is SUPERB, as well as the presentation. So, when I needed some awesome food for my December holiday party, I immediately thought of B&B. What I didn’t realize is how awesomely patient and helpful they would be working with me on a menu. Emma listened to my needs and offered suggestions and ways to come in on budget. She also checked in while I pondered my options in a very friendly, non-pressuring way. Ladies and gents. If you are planning a wedding anywhere in the vicinity of Portland, Maine, you would be crazy to work with any vendor other than Bread + Butter. Kelly, Ehren, Katie, Josh, and all of their incredible waitstaff and cooks made our wedding truly the best day ever for us and for our 250+ guests. Everyone is still commenting about how amazing the food was and how seamless and fun family-style dining was!

The food was amazing. The service was top notch. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and awesome to work with. People could not say enough about the BBQ and bread boards they served at our Welcome Dinner at Rising Tide and could not contain their excitement when we told them they would also be catering the wedding as well. Seriously unreal.

Everyone at Bread + Butter is honest, down to earth, so much fun, and just overall kickass people. We couldn't imagine having anyone else on Team Gordon-Gordon. More...

They catered a rehearsal cocktail cruise for us . I can not say enough about the food and the service. They were wonderful and our guests raved about the food. I would highly recommend them. Bread & Butter catered our wedding at the Lions Club on Peaks Island and I can't say enough good things about them. The food and drink were amazing - our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the fried chicken, mac & cheese, charcuterie board and other delicious goodies. Many even told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I love local craft beer and they did a wonderful job of incorporating that into the bar offering. They really worked with us to tailor everything to our taste, and even hooked us up with a Spanish Iberian jamon (my husband is from Spain). On top of that, the food was presented beautifully. They were easy to work with, responsive to emails, and really put us at ease during the planning process. Finally, the day of the wedding went off without a hitch and as the bride it was so nice to feel like I was in good hands and didn't have to worry at all about the food, bar, and service. Thank goodness we found Kelly and the Bread & Butter crew to cater our wedding. We also arranged to have Kelly as our day of coordinator, which was the best wedding decision we made. She is AMAZING and went way above and beyond. From the beginning they accommodated our many requests, provided creative ideas, and were very responsive. Many of our guests agreed that the food was some of the best they've had, and the presentation was exactly in line with the feel of our event. B&B even sourced fresh seaweed from the beach as the bed for the raw bar. Highly recommend!! More...
