Love this place. Cozy bar area is great when alone, always folks to talk.to. I go there every time I travel to Kalamazoo, and have never had anything but a great meal.

We had our office Christmas dinner at Bravo this year and it was absolutely wonderful! The service and the food = top notch fantabulous! !! We had a party of 14, ordered from the menu took our time we had several appetizers, all were delicious! They are known for their mushroom soup so I tried it rather than having salad and it was so worth the calories!!!!! Everyone in our group absolutely enjoyed their dinners, several had the Lobster Ravioli, The braised tenderloin over Mac N Cheese, a few had the Salmon, someone else had regular beef tenderloin, and our deserts and desert drinks were wonderful also! I don't know how we have lived here for multiple years and never visited this place, but we will be back. We took the kiddos to Airway Fun Center to drive go carts, then came here for dinner and it was delicious. Kids: Although there were very few families in attendance when we went, it's definitely a family friendly place. Kids got "wiki sticks" to play with (and take home) with their menus. You bend them into shapes. So much more to do with these than just crayons! My daughter had their spaghetti and practically licked the bowl clean. The sauce is seasoned (ie you can see oregano and other spices in it), but a very kid friendly marinara. She loved it. My son got the Italian mac and cheese, which was a HUGE serving and basically twisty noodles and Parmesan. Right up his alley and we took home leftovers. My husband had the pork chops and some veggies. He said they were the best pork chops he's had in a long time. Many places dry them out, but these were cooked perfectly. I had the salmon dinner with risotto and scallops. Disclaimer: I don't usually even like scallops. They're usually too "fishy" or slimy for me so I planned on skipping them. Nope- these were amazing. Both they and the salmon were cooked wonderfully were they weren't dry but weren't that fishy/slippery texture that you can get too. I was impressed. Excellent restaurant! Went out to dinner with my family for what felt like the first time in forever! The Brussel sprout appetizer was superb! I went for the salmon, which was perfectly cooked (as were the accompanying scallops) and tried the duck (which was also excellent). Had the my favorite dessert, tiramisu, which tasted as good as it was plated. All and all, an amazing experience and a new spot I'm sure to return to! More...

My seven week old son has a dairy sensitivity and I’ve had to learn very quickly how to avoid milk products in my diet. At brunch last Sunday, the chefs and waitstaff were incredibly helpful when I asked about ingredients, running back to the kitchen to double check that the things on my plate didn’t contain dairy. They have obviously been trained on allergens and took my questions very seriously. Chef even made me my own vegan pizza! Great place for a fancy italian dinner. We tried the pizza and the pasta and I personally preferred the pizza. We ordered margarita and the pesto pizza, the pesto was so good and it is a must! It was crowded on a saturday night but we found a place for five. The pizza was thin and crusty and it was super light, and that is the perfect way to have a pizza. Recommended :) More...

I was in town just overnight on business. As I often do, I looked on Yelp for somewhere good to have dinner. I struck gold with Bravo Restaurant & Cafe. It was a Friday evening and packed. As I was by myself, I sat at the bar for a cocktail and dinner. The Angel Hair and Artichoke was absolutely incredible. The service by a young lady named Caitlin, who was tending bar, was excellent. This is a great spot to celebrate a big event, especially if you have a large group. They really excel at handling multiple groups at a time, and we had a wonderful experience celebrating my in-laws 25th anniversary last weekend. I was traveling thru/not from the area and we just picked a place...oh my word! I love Italian and this was the ult. Had the chicken gnocchi. The sauce was scrumptious, the gnocchi exquisitely unique, chicken was moist and flavored so well even besides the sauce. Then if you like your stout...the Midnight Magnum is so so marvelous. I attended the Kalamazoo Tasters Guild dinner at Bravo last night. Shawn & Terry Hagen went out of their way to create an evening of fine food and wines. Our first course was triple cream cheeses three different ways. Second course was a pan seared John Dory filet on greens with poppy seed dressing. The third course was Shiraz marinated duck on farrow grain with roast tomato. The fourth course was Australian beef pie with roasted vegetables. The dessert was Chocolate Truffle and Macadamia Nut.
