Describe your creative process.
Our creative process with always costing, planning and a proposal document. Once a quotation is agreed we then start with a research stage. This usually encompasses competitors and similar markets. We then produce a mood/inspiration board to involve the client and get some initial feedback for a direction normally based on brand values and pillars. From this we produce a selection of loose ideas to again involve the client in the process. The amount of ideas would be pre agreed before commencing work based on the budget.
After the first stage ideas process we would then select 1 or 2 of these ideas and work them up to a polished standard and mock them up onto a selection of touch points for visual purposes. At this stage we would help the client make a selection based on our opinions and research. This would then be taken to finished artwork for printing or online.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
We would normally need:
1. Background about the company (how the company came about). Brand values.
2. A description on what this particular piece that needs designing is needed to achieve. including customer insight, target audience
3. Key deadlines
4. Any research already carried out
What do you love most about your job?
We love to make the world a more aesthetic place, while also driving sales and making other businesses successful. There is nothing better than helping a business early on in the journey and helping them meet their targets and grow with them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired by an old employer of mine while travelling in Australia. I wanted to create a quality product, delivered on time and on budget with a polite and accommodating process.
