Absolutely Amazing. Chef Matt delivered a restaurant style meal from his oven in NYC to our dinner table in Maryland. Everything was packaged nicely and arrived cold. Dinner was heated within 30 minutes with the easy reheating directions provided.
The flavors and seasonings were delicious! The portion sizes were enough for leftovers the next day.
The whole process from ordering to sitting down to eat was a breeze. Definitely a great value and time saver, I can't wait to place my next order! More...

Chef Matthew is an incredible person & his food is delectable.I hired Matthew for a 5 course in-home chef experience for two and he did not disappoint. His communication before the dinner experience was terrific. I told him  some of our favorites dishes, the vibe that I was going for, and we worked together to craft a wonderful menu (which he also printed with a custom message from me to the guest of honor). Chef Matthew arrived on time, and was quite pleasant. We were eating within 30 minutes of his arrival. I selected the following: arancini risotto ball (ah-mazing!), lamb lollipops (there are no words to describe how great this dish was), grilled skirt steak (there are no words to describe how great this dish was), Mediterranean lobster tail (incredible!), banana bourbon bread pudding (we were so full by this point, but this was an awesome finish).  The presentation of each dish was beautiful and each dish was brimming with flavor.Chef Matthew's service was on point. He gave sufficient spacing between meals, and was willing to speed up/slow down based on our vibe. He also poured water and wine. At the end of the meal, he left our kitchen spotless (loaded the dishwasher, washed dishes, wiped appliances). We also had the opportunity to chat, and he was very interested in our feedback of our meal -- he cares about his craft a lot. We were also able to hear more about his business and the private dining space he operates -- which I can't wait to visit.Overall, the experience was top of the line. I expected good food -- but I wasn't expecting food and service that was out of this stratosphere. I wish I could afford to do it every night. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed! More...

The Ambience--The dining room comfortably seated our party of four. The table was set beautifully. There was soft music playing, which I am sure can be adjusted to personal taste. The dining area was separated from the kitchen by a wall with a sliding glass door, so there is complete privacy. It's a great place for conversation.The food--We had the five-course dinner--there is also a three-course option. Our first course was a risotto ball with a crisp shell and a creamy filling. All four of us rated it outstanding.Our next course was a bruschetta which also received raved reviews from everyone. Served on crisp bread with an artichoke slice on top, it looked beautiful on the plate too. We then had a pistachio-crusted halibut, which three out of four of us rated outstanding, the lone holdout being someone who doesn't eat fish. Everyone thought the string beans served with it were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our next course was a blow-torched filet mignon, which was the least enjoyable, not because it wasn't well prepared, but because the unusual style of preparation did not meet our usual expectations of broiled steak. We learned we don't prefer our steak cooked that way! The fingerling potatoes that accompanied the dish were delicious. The dessert was beignets with ice cream and a chocolate glaze. Three out of four rated this dessert outstanding with one dissent that the beignets were rubbery. Because everyone gets the same dish at each course, there are bound to be some differences of opinion because of personal tastes, but overall here, the food is terrific!The cost--Our private, deluxe, five-course dinner with tax and gratuity cost under $500 plus the wine we brought from home, a real cost savings. Overall--What a great option for a quiet dinner with close friends and family to enjoy a wonderful meal with an excellent host and chef, Matthew, who goes out of his way to provide a unique and customized experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a private dining experience with family and friends! We were treated to an amazing three course meal, and the chef Matt was extremely talented! The menu included spiced corn soup with coconut milk drizzle and toasted almonds, an 8 hour roasted beef short rib, plus a nutella and pretzel sundae with quinoa granola and whipped vanilla cream. We dined at Boutique BK with a group of friends for a quiet evening of catching up with one another. We couldn't have chose a more perfect restaurant for the occasion. This was an authentic private dining experience in a quaint neighborhood in Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens). Chef Matt created a delightful 3 course menu. It was hands down one of the most amazing meals my wife and I have had in our 12+ years of living in NYC and we dine out a lot. Chef Matt was happy to cater to the dietary restrictions of our group. Our menu included a Spiced Corn Soup with coconut milk drizzle and toasted almonds, a main course of Seared Salmon (not pictured) or Roasted Beef Short Rib, and we finished our evening with a Nutella and Pretzel Sundae with toasted Quinoa Granola (served with an edible chocolate spoon- which my wife loved!). My wife (ahem,then-fiancé ) and I had our rehearsal dinner at Boutique BK the night before our wedding. Being the first time several members of our families met, we had high expectations for the evening. Chef Matt took good, good care of us and created an amazing experience--from the ambience to the menu, which included a combination of Haitian and Mexican dishes to reflect our respective backgrounds.You can't find any other place quite like this. I've had the pleasure of dining with Chef Matt at Boutique BK twice now. Once with just my husband for an intimate dinner and once to take my work team (10 of us) out for a celebratory dinner. Regardless of the size of guests, I found the experience intimate, menu customized and thoughtful, and most importantly the food was delicious. Boutique BK is a unique place as it is a private dining room where Chef Matthew cooks only for the singular (group of) guests that have made the reservation for any particular night. So it is ultra private in just one room and adjacent kitchen. My wife and I were catered to by Chef Matthew. To make things complicated, we could not eat dairy or nuts at the time, but the three course menu was nevertheless outstanding. Corn chowder, braised short ribs and a vegan chocolate fudge ice cream. Everything was brilliant and we brought our own wine. Although Boutique BK also caters wine if announced in advance. Chef Matthew was extremely nice and answered all of our questions we had about cooking. Late post but deserving of one... The experience I celebrated my 30th birthday with my close friends around Chef Matthew's beautiful dining table, at his Boutique Restaurant. We were greeted with an intimate setting, dimmed lights, smooth tunes, and mouth watering aromas from the kitchen. Needless to say, the 4 course meal was nothing short of delicious (my favorite being the 8-hr roasted lamb shank). Chef Matthew's From first email till the meet up, he was prompt in responding and professional. He listened to what my requests were and presented a menu that suited all of my guest palate! I scheduled dinner for my wife and I after noticing a new restaurant on Opentable. Amazing! Prior to arriving Chef Matthew called me to give an overview of the menu and asked about food allergies and preferences. He then emailed over a menu for us to review and customize our selections for dinner. Once we arrived we were greeted by the Chef - he welcomed us and showed us to our private table. The dining experience was great and everything we had for dinner was wonderful. I would definitely recommend Chef Matthew and Boutique for your private dining needs and catering. I attended a friend's private birthday dinner and was blown away by the intimate setting and ambiance at Boutique. There were 8 of us and we were able to byob (wine in our case) so it allowed us to converse and truly enjoy ourselves!The food was amazing and I truly appreciated the fact that Chef Matthew took the time out to make us feel at home. He explained every dish he prepared and served us. Not only was he very professional, but he was extremely humble, very personable and very welcoming. I can't recommend Chef Matt enough for a superb, well-prepared and unique dining experience. His restaurant in Cobble Hill was stunning and the menu he prepared left the guests at my birthday party in awe. We couldn't stop talking about how good it was! I can't say enough about Chef Matt. We have enoyed his cooking a number of times...both at my brother and sister-in-law's home where he cooks once a week as well at his restaurant in Brooklyn. His food is absolutely delicious.Two nights ago we had Chef Matt come to our home to cook dinner for our daughter's birthday. He taught 4 young girls how to make truffle risotto which tasted like we ordered it in an upscale italian restaurant.
