We are foodies and this was one of the great dinners of our lives. We were treated like old friends from the moment we arrived (late) till the moment we left (bearing chocolates, cake and a giant loaf of sourdough as gifts). It's been a while since I've been impressed with fine dining; Bouley at Home hit the spot.First, unlike the best restaurant in Quebec City, B@H read the reservation requests & honoured them. The service, from the greeter to the host, to the maitre d, servers, bidders--all pleasant, polite, helpful. It's kind of weird when you expect shitty service as "that's how NYC is", but the reality is that the great places work hard to make sure your experience is incredible.The menu was interesting--3 or 5 course, the test kitchen for Boulay's other restaurants. It's decorated as "your rich, old in-law's place that may be an antebellum manor sinking into the ground"--you're at the safe place near the kitchen w/copper pots. We had the sea urchin, 5 or six layers of flavors and textures exploding together. It's something you'd like to have when you wake up Durham by a couple's retreat--the Tart apple & lime wake you up, the urchin energizes, and the fluff & everything else is just fun.The flan was more of a rich soup--unctious, perfectly balanced by the crispy pistachio-buckwheat GF toast. Their take on duck l'orange: I liked it. Every other time I've order anything BUT Chinese bbq duck from the asian market or confit in Provence, it's been dry, stringy, over cooked, or made to taste like ham. Here? Tender, crunchy skin, tart kumquat sauce & prunes. Even my husband agreed--delicious.The beef cheeks might have been in a thicker sauce; the kitchen had to modify many dishes due to my dairy allergies, some this may have been the cause. Did we clear out the bowl anyway? Yes. With an extra slice of baguette.This place is rather amazing when it comes to allergies and sensitivities--I'm fairly certain the vacherin was paleo. Yep--sugar free, dairy free, gluten free, with frozen, smooth, crunchy, sweet, sour, fluffy. The Bouley teams’ passion for great food, wine and dining experience, and their ability to deliver upon that passion so effectively makes Bouley at Home a very special place. My husband and I discovered Chef David Bouley in 2010 when visiting New York and have been huge fans since. His earlier location was very special, with a classic European charm. His new location is contemporary and it’s refreshing to come for a great meal and for men not have to wear a jacket, particularly in the summer. Chef Bouley creates creative, wonderfully balanced dishes that bring out the very best in the fine products used by his kitchen. Sea Urchin in an apple green “cloud”, truffled porcini flan with Dungeness crab, thinly sliced Long Island duck with kumquat purée and a gorgeous plum sauce are just a few examples of the stellar lunch tasting menu. Beautiful ambience. I love the wall of apples as you walk in.... giving out a scent of freshness.... a true feeling of farm to table. The grand piano was a nice touch. Background music was perfect. The service was formal though a bit cold, almost too snobbish for my taste. I wonder if this is the impression they want to create. Somewhat intimidating.  I was in the service industry for 40 years.  I find the server should be able to adjust to the kind of client.  We were not a formal group.  We were going for a more friendly and easy to understand menu. The carrot soup and mushroom appetizer were well accepted.  I was not impressed with the duck. It was a bit tough.  The salmon with spirulina... well the overwhelming taste of the green algae is a bit overpowering. The deserts were superb. And thank you for the birthday cake for my husband. We all enjoyed it.I'm not sure i'll hurry to come back here. I was hoping for bigger portions.  At least more vegetables for healthier feel. More...

Dinner Saturday night, as at all Bouley restaurants ( and we've been going to Bouley since 1987 (?) was fabulous.But only having counter seating for 4 people on a Saturday night is ridiculous. We'd had the Bastille Day Brunch in the larger dining room and it was lovely.Can't understand this whole thing of having dinner in the more casual space for dinner.  If we hadn't positioned ourselves at a corner we wouldn't have been able to have a conversation. Today the main space was booked for some other function, so we got to sit at the Test Kitchen.  My mom, my sister and I all did the 3-course lunch instead of the 5, and it's way more manageable!  Food is excellent as always, and for some reason I feel that this space has a more intimate vibe than the main space.  Notably today's special is quail with seasonal veggies (cabbage's my favorite) -- succulent and very earthy yet sophisticated flavor.  My sis lived in Paris for over 10 years and she said this was one of the best french dining experiences she's had (probably the best outside of France). Came here as a group of five. They don't do Theater Menu at six so if you wanna try that, book yours slot earlier. They required the entire group to take either 3 course or 7 course all together, so we opted for the three course for all. The portion wasn't big so if you wanna have a full-dinning experience, try the 7 course one.We got seated inside, facing the fable for making all the appetizers. They used the open kitchen design so you can see clearly how they prepared the food, and the food smelled soooo good! The air conditioning was very strong so dress a little warmer.The cracker offered was warm and crispy. Very appetizing. I got the fresh Langoustine as my first course. The langoustine was very fresh and chewy. I don't like the green sauce at the bottom but it didn't affect that much.For the main, I got the lamb cooked medium. The meat was tender and juicy. Though they put quite some sauce on the meat, it wasn't overpowering. You can still tasted the original lamb flavor and it accompanied well with the vegetables.We were highly to try their chocolate lava cake for dessert. The crispy chocolate mixture near the cake was liked by all of us, while we found the cake itself a little too sweet. Each dish was well-explained.Pretty slow in general. We felt like this 3 course took the same amount of time as the 7 course (waited for about 50 min to get our first dish lol). I dined at this place after reading the reviews. I was a walk-in customer. Every good review to this place was correct. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The front desk was nice and made me feel so welcome. The whole staff was attentive and helpful but never obtrusive. And then the food...ah exquisite! Every component of every dish perfectly complimented each other, no ingredient was out of place. I had the lunch tasting menu and each course was memorable, both in presentation and in taste. It was called tasting but unlike in other dining places, the portions were substantial enough that you don't just a "taste" of the food, you get to eat. And what an outstanding meal it was. More...

We did the 5 course menu tasting! I cannot even begin to tell you how fantastic and delicious the food is! But even better is the customer service! Everyone makes you feel like royalty! The ambiance is amazing. Because there was three of us, we got to taste about 2/3 of the menu as we tried each others dishes. Just when you think the food couldn't get any better, the next plate topped it some how!! Matthew, Jennie, and Gabriel were spectacular!! Special thanks and hugs to Matthew for making our celebration extra special!! They've set a new standard for my taste buds that makes it very hard to go back to "normal" food! Where do I even start?! ... This place is amazing!

The food is of course incredible. I have now tried the a la carte menu and both the lunch and dinner tasting menu - the lunch pre-fixe is the best deal in town!

To make the experience even more delightful, the staff is so attentive and really makes your time spent at the restaurant that much more enjoyable. Added perk - being able to see the chefs cooking!

Last but not least, the wine list is impeccable. Not only does the restaurant provide so many different options, they also offer a selection in all price ranges. Oh, and there's a Master Sommelier on hand.

The food may be great, but it doesnt come close to the original in terms of ambiance. The original was closed in 1996 after being the #1 rest in NYC for 3 consecutive years untill its closing. There was a 1 mth waiting list. It was stunning & charming w/o being stuffy or snobby at the same time being homey....a rare combination. The room was neither stark, nor straight, it was filled with an array of large, beautiful flowers strategically placed which offered one a sense of privacy. Attention to detail. I always hope against hope that he would return to that location (which is nearby) and recreate the original. You felt like you were in France. A girl can always hope...lol. A beautiful experience. I went to Bouley for lunch about two years ago. The prix fixe lunch with the wine pairings is definitely the best bang-for-your-buck fancy meal I have ever had anywhere in the world. I have only been here once, but that romantic lunch with my wife was outstanding in every possible way. Service was impeccable, yet not stuffy. Start with a remarkable choice of bread. Felt comfortable to try most (maybe all) of them and they were all delicious. My wife had the world famous porcini flan and found it to be well deserving of all the praise. The organic farm egg with serrano ham was a fabulous experience of a dish with contrasting textures and well paired ingredients that ultimately coalesced into a traditional comfort food. When you walk into the foyer you already get a whiff of Heaven but hands down one of the most amazing dining experiences I've ever had my whole life. The chef did a spectacular job with our three courses. Our table tried the Duck Lamb and the Seabass and that cashew pesto sauce was too die for. Hands down the best dinner my husband and I have ever had, and we've been places!

When we first walked in, the walls were lined with apples. One thousand of them (yes, literally one thousand), and the room smelled like an orchard. Such a nice way to begin an incredible night. As we walked in, the restaurant just got more and more charming. Classy would be an understatement. It's not like your typical, modern French restaurant. It is elegant and pristine. Even the bathrooms were outrageous, with velvet walls and couches!

The service was beyond impeccable. We felt like we were the only people in the restaurant because they were so attentive. Our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and even the man with the bread cart was attentive and helped to make our experience unforgettable.

Most importantly, of course, the food was the absolute best we have ever had. Each course was better than the last, and each dish had its own unique flavors and presentation. No ingredient was repeated, which a lot of these Michelin star restaurants are guilty of, and when you're paying for an experience like this, you want to try new flavors.

If I could give Bouley 10 stars, I would. I recently heard they are closing and I am heartbroken. I'm just so happy I was fortunate enough to experience this amazing establishment!

Incredibly special are the only words to describe this wonderful place. From the moment you walk in the doors, the wall of apples perfumes the vestibule of an apple orchard. You are seated in this wonderful room with velvet lined doors, a granite ceiling, and floral patterned chairs. Course after course comes and is somehow more amazing than the last. The smells, delicate, but distinct. The flavors and textures of each dish coalesce​ into a thought provoking ballet. The service from Ben and Miguel were "incroyable." Even the check was presented in such a way there was no 'Total' that was too big. One will not be disappointed for coming here to enjoy the tasting course lunch, and will only hope for another visit. Absolute perfection! Our only problem was finding this gem of a restaurant. The location is not easily identified on the outside, but once you enter it is exquisite! My boyfriend took me to Bouley to celebrate my birthday and it was spectacular. First of all, the decoration is really nice, without being too much either. I felt really comfortable stepping into the restaurant. We went to the dining room downstairs which I felt was more intimate than the one on the first floor.

The food was excellent from beginning to end, and wine pairing great too ! The desserts were really well presented, and we had madeleines/chocolates with coffee at the end. It was an amazing experience, and out of all luxury restaurants in NYC, I can say without a doubt that I would love to go back there.

The most fantastic experience! I've had many gastronomic adventures in my days on this planet, but the many modest courses add up to a veritable feast of sense experiences. One of the most interesting was the sea urchin with caviar: an ultra thin slice of the sea urchin on top of TWO types of caviar atop a terrine of sweet fruity flavors. Initial experience: a mouthful of sweet delight, but when you bite into each tender egg of caviar, the sweet immediately turns to a savory saltiness, and back again to the sweetness of the fruity terrine. My Christmas present to my daughter was 4 nights in NYC. Her gift to me was dinner at Bouley. This was my first fine dining experience of this level. We had the dinner tasting menu with the wine paring. Our selections could not have been more opposite, hers light while mine was hearty. It was amazing how each wine complimented the dish it was paired with and how each dish complimented the wine. The most amazing dining experience. Treated myself and spouse to an exquisite birthday lunch, which did not disappoint. We visited Bouley restaurant for dinner in June, 2016. In the entrance, hundreds of apples were decorated on the wall, which was very impressive. The first enrtry tomato soup tasted like heaven. It was so refined and sophisticated flavour that I had never tasted before. The fish as main dish was also good. It was unprecedented experience of bringing a bread cart and serve breads in the middle of the course. After the dessert, they brought us a bunch of chocolates on the multiple trays, but could not finish them. Jean Georges is far behind of Bouley. My private opinion is that Bouley is better than Daniel and Le Bernardin. If I visit New York again, Booley would be the first place to visit again. More...

We had the three course dinner, with wine pairing. They have an extensive and high quality wine list but pairing a wine per course works well for a small party. Consulting with the sommelier we made sure that the wines that pair with our preferred appetizers and entrees are to our taste, and selected desserts that pair with the dessert wines that we wanted. We dined last night at Bouley after years of being away. We were totally in awe of the quality of food, presentation, service, ambiance, everything! It was truly an AMAZING experience, from start to finish. We enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairings along with a bottle of champagne. An experience of this sort is pricey, at $1000 with tax and tip, but worth every penny - and yes, I'd do it all again next month if I could afford to. We've dined in almost all the 3 Michelin Star restaurants in New York, and I can say that Bouley is worthy of the same distinction. It's now tied as my favorite NYC restaurant with Le Bernardin. From the moment we arrived we were transported to an exotic place of hospitality and elegance. It is so refreshing to see waiters and captains, and the bread boy too, who understand what elegant service is all about. This review is a little late coming. I was too busy on my trip to do it at the time, but lunch today at a Melbourne fine dining restaurant prompted me to write. My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch at Bouley in July. I cant emphasize just how fantastic the service was, which should be no real surprise as Americans take their jobs very seriously in the service industry. They strike the perfect balance of unobtrusive, warm, charming and hospitable. I had a hilarious conversation with a French waiter about the film, Babbette's Feast, but he didn't understand my point at all; about how the villagers refused to show their reactions to the sublime quality of every course she brought out- much like some of the blase New Yorkers in the room but very unlike us, because we swooned at every mouthful.Every single plate was an experience in which we both delighted. I was compensated for not having an appetizer with a complimentary cold soup. Then began the steady stream of small tasting plates. One of my favourites was wild mushrooms with truffles and foam. Incredibly tasty, truly sublime. Lunch culminated in what seemed to be an endless array of desserts. I was really impressed with the texture of the various ice-creams, one in particular was so subtly flavoured that I had to ask the waiter what the base flavour was: toasted wheat! I was also quite taken with the waiters who all looked like bankers; sharp, immaculate in tailored grey suits. We overdid it on the bread cart, I must admit, which really counted as another course. However, it was very hard to resist the numerous breads on offer. I highly recommend the Lunch Tasting Menu at Bouley as it is incredibly good value: $US55 or $AUD72 for 5 courses, for what is one of New York's top restaurants. What a wonderful experience we had. Was catching up with an old friend of years past who is a foodie like I am and we both loved the tasting menu as well as the service. It is old-school formal, but did not feel dated. Outstanding wine and service with pride. The bread cart was a highlight with at least a dozen or more types of artisan bread to choose from - the server in charge recommends popular choices or will just give you one of each! The presentation of each dish was so well thought out and everything was super fine and delicious. Have the signature dishes and you will wish you could eat them all day. This is one of New York's finest and an establishment that harks back to the olden days where you wish you could come dressed like a character from Mad Men. From the apples in the entrance to the bread cart sending yeasty scents through the dining room, from the orchids in the lounge to the gold vaulted ceilings, from the creative and delicious mixing of ingredients to the extraordinary wine list, Bouley has it all. Not to forget the exceptional service either, professional but friendly. Probably the most romantic room in New York. It will take time to savor, and it won't be cheap, but a dinner here will be memorable. While it is a lot of money, I actually thought the $125 prix fixe was fairly valued. Our third visit here (over three years) affirmed the consistency and superiority. The mediterranean feel downstairs is worth asking for (upstairs feels a bit more generic). Service is attentive but unmannered and unobtrusive. We ordered the 6 course tasting menu for $180 and it was outstanding...make sure you try the sea urchin with Meyer lemon, and the bison if available...best I have had of these ingredients. High end classic decor and ambiance with painted walls and archs; highly attentive service but not overbearing; extensive but pricey wine list and most importantly, very good food. My wife and I enjoyed a tasty 3 course dinner plus the chef's complimentary appetizers between courses. Each course was very tasty and well presented except for the main course, which was average relative to the others. Also, my lobster main course seemed more like two langoustines vs. a Maine lobster tail,so that was disappointing. Overall, it's a nice and tasty experience but not one that "wows". We were delighted to have made our reservation for dinner at Bouley just as it received a terrific review from the New York Times and we were not disappointed. The setting and decor of the restaurant is just lovely and we felt like we were in the South of France. The food was superb. We had the tasting menu and our waiters were kind enough to let us adjust the courses somewhat, having only fish, rather than the meat courses. Overall we thought the food was outstanding - though perhaps the flavors were not quite as exciting and inventive as what we would taste at Le Bernardin or Eleven Madison Park - but terrific nonetheless. Particular favorites were the Sea Urchin and the Oyster appetizer dishes. In fact, we felt the appetizer servings were the best of all. The Hamachi sashimi dish was a little flat - and tasted like it had been sitting in the citrus for too long, leaving the fish too tough and lacking salt. Our only criticism was the sommelier....we chose to split the wine pairings which was not clearly something he approved - but after our pre-dinner drink, we just didn't want to full pairings. He was a bit typically French and aloof - but warmed up as the dinner went along.All in all, a delightful experience and our friends enjoyed it greatly. More...

I've had quite a few meals at Bouley over the years, and by now my expectations are always pretty high but I still end up a little surprised at how very good this place is. It's not exactly cheap, but you get so much for your money that it ends up being one of the best values in New York, especially for lunch. David Bouley also really cares about making a meal that is as digestible as it is delicious, so you can have a 3-hour lunch with 5+ elaborate courses and still walk out feeling great. The food is interesting without being overworked, and the place is really cozy in a sort of old-school way. I find my self comparing other fancy restaurants to Bouley, and it's a tough act to follow. The New York Times stayed with it's three star rating. It could be four if you were evaluating only the food but the service still needs some work. More attention to a deliberate, not rushed, description of each offering would be a start. If you leave the table your napkin may, or may not, be refolded. But it's the food that steals the meal - and it's reasonably priced. The wine list is excellent and if you're a French devotee you'll have a field day here. It was our second time at Bouley. After our first - outstanding - experience in December last year we decided to invite very nice friend to the restaurant tonight. The food was again OUTSTANDING!BUT: The service was not outstanding at all! It was not even great - we are absolutely not used to order the dessert already when we order the menu - not even in french or german three stars restaurants!! NO WAY! My husband and I arrived Monday for lunch a couple of weeks ago around 11:30 am and were seated in Bouley's beautiful main dining room. We were there for the $55 5-course lunch which is truly one of the great bargains in Manhattan. Service was relaxed and not forced. We each ordered a glass of white wine, French for my husband and Italian for me, both wines delightful. We were first offered a couple of amuse-bouche dishes which at a bite or two each was just right. Standouts for the 5-course lunch included a tasty carrot soup, an organic farm egg poached and nestled in a bowl with Serrano ham and polenta with a foam broth over it, a wonderfully cooked Dover sole, and an equally perfectly cooked black sea bass. The desserts were spectacular, one named "pomme" consisting of a striking green apple shaped shell on a cake and when the shell was opened it revealed a wonderful sweet concoction inside. The other dessert was equally fun with rose ice cream artfully placed on a crunchy cake base with white chocolate rosettes piped on. We also were treated to a large cherry shell with stem which when opened revealed a light and creamy cherry filling. During lunch a server came around with a cart of about a dozen housemate breads made with several types of ingredients including olives and various herbs. Service during the meal was unobtrusive but several servers were always there for your needs. Chocolates and cookies were presented after dessert on a multi-tiered plate stand, and since we were filled from lunch, they put these treats in a pretty little bag for us to take with us. As soon as one steps into the lobby of Bouley, decorated with row upon row of fresh apples that exude a crisp aroma, the meal is an experience. We sat for three hours over our prix fixe lunch and glasses of wine. The amuse bouche was heavenly and set the tone for two appetizer courses; small entrees made to perfection--we shared venison and duck; followed by a palette cleanser and dessert, not to mention the tiered tray of chocolates. When making my dream food list for New York City, I was sure to hit all the key points: lots of pizza, cheesecake, that frozen hot chocolate, sweets from Magnolia Bakery, and, oh yeah, some sort of fancy place. Bouley, a contemporary French restaurant located in Tribeca in Manhattan, is owned by four-star chef David Bouley. Zagat has rated the restaurant very highly - as the third-best restaurant in New York City in 2013. TripAdvisor rated it the best restaurant in the United States in 2015. Initially, I thought this restaurant would be far, far out of my price range - but, they have a $55 five-course lunch tasting menu. Perfect.I made reservations way in advance, so I had plenty of time to fret about what I was going to wear. Their dress code stated: Casual Celebratory... whatever that means. They just made that up. This wasn't the only thing we were doing that day in NYC, so I had to have something comfortable enough that I could work for miles before and after this lunch. I, fortunately, figured out something (after shopping at too many places) and found no problem when I walked inside. There were, however, lots of suit jackets (required for men) and fancy dresses from the women.As soon as we walked in, we entered a room filled with rows of apples, where we checked our coats. My husband and I were delighted with our dining experience at Bouley. I am a native New Yorker and have dined at some of the best restaurants in Manhattan. Bouley was no exception. From the moment we walked in, we knew if would be a wonderful experience. The décor was beautiful; with fresh roses and tulips placed throughout the room for romantic ambience. The food selections varied from traditional to adventurous. And they were all outstanding. I had the shrimp and sea scallops as an appetizer with an herb sauce and fresh calamari. The smell alone made my mouth water. The food was cooked to perfection and was so tasty. My entrée was lobster over artichoke hearts and peas with a light red wine sauce. Again, outrageous. The smell and taste were impeccable. Even the chocolate soufflé was the best I've had. My husband had mushroom soup as an appetizer and Bison for his entrée. He too thought it was one of the best meals he has had. I must also mention the service. That too was outstanding. The staff was very attentive and the sommelier couldn't have been more accommodating. I must also mention the specialty bread cart. We tried everything from pistachio hazelnut to dried cherries. If you're looking for a high quality dining experience, this is the place to go. They appear to have their share of regulars, but they treated everyone as they were the only people in the room. The food is outstanding, as always and perhaps when the expectations are set so high, there are bound to be one or two disappointing elements. On our last visit, the service, while friendly, seemed more disorganized than it had in the past--slightly confused in fact. There seemed to be robust staffing but a definite lack of continuity in the service. The wine list, which used to have some more moderate gems and a fairly good selection of half bottles, now seems dominated by stratospherically expensive wines. The sommelier did find some very nice alternatives but in a range which would be expensive at many other restaurants. Fabulous experience all the way around. Even though we were there on Valentine's Day, there were plenty of people making sure that everything was perfect. They easily accommodated my wife who is a vegetarian and made it really memorable for us. We have been to Bouley twice before so we knew what we were in for and yet they again exceeded our expectations. Can't say enough great things about every morsel of food we ate. Even things you would have expected to be ordinary were a culinary delight and the tasting menu is genius because you get to taste multiple extravagant courses. The shrimp in the shrimp appetizer tasted like they'd been frozen before, and so had a residual chlorine like smell and were slightly tough. The bison, while good, did not wow us. The artisanal cheeses were, however, perfectly selected. The service was nearly impeccable, with only 1 slight mis-step, bringing us the wrong appetizers. Never disappointed, always pleased with Bouley. One thing I wish theyd bring back is the smoked salmon bellini (sp?) It was amazing and also the lemon sorbet in between meals. And make the chocolates at the end optional, we almost always never have them and feel terrible to waste them. But still tasting menu at bouley is always a winner. More...

The food and service at Bouley were absolutely amazing. I had the 5 course lunch tasting menu. which would have been phenomenal in itself, but if I torn between two options (the foraged mushrooms, or the porcini flan?) they brought both as a bonus course. We were celebrating my birthday, so they brought another bonus course for that (poached pear in addition to the chocolate soufflé cake I'd ordered). Each bite, from the porcini flan with black truffle dashi, to the sea urchin, to the beef cheeks -the most tender cut of meat I'd had anywhere, period - was exceptional. This was, by far, the best restaurant experience of our lives, and we are foodies who have traveled the world. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service outstanding. Each wonderful bite of our six course tasting menu (with amazing wines picked by the sommelier) was incredible, and there were many surprises from Chef Bouley (who is actually on premises), including additional amuse bouche dishes, extra dessert treats and amazing breads. Dress up to fully enjoy being part of the scene, and be ready for the evening of your life. We come to NYC about once a year, and there would be nowhere else we would ever go again. We were at Bouley to celebrate my mother's birthday and it did not disappoint. If you order the prix fixe (which is a wonderful value), you get 5 courses, plus an unlimited variety of breads, an amuse bouche and a few other flairs.They were nice enough to give us an extra dessert for the birthday girl.The dining room is warm and inviting, perfect on a blustery New York afternoon-- and probably evening too.Thumbs up! Bouley never fails. The food is wonderful, the service is attentive without being overwhelming, and the dining room is lovely with fresh flowers and candles on each table. My husband and I ordered the tasting menu, and I found the duck particularly delicious. The bread cart is remarkable, and at the end of the evening we were able to take home a couple of slices of the wonderful brioche. This is a restaurant that still lives up to its reputation for fine food and luxury dining. More...

3 people at a long, un-rushed lunch. A most generous (many choices) tasting menu. Little add-ons were excellent.Interesting uses of kudzu on the menu.Desserts were -- possibly -- a weaker point.End-of-luncheon chocolates were of superb quality.Bread choices were enormous, almost confusingly so. Butter too cold.Service was amiable and highly professional.The dining room is spacious; noise level was low; decor seems just a bit tacky; did they have to turn on music after 3PM?The restaurant has been at a few different locations over the years: this was our bestmeal there.For 'rapport prix-qualite' in NYC I don't know how this can be beat.
