Grande Roche was our last part of our South Africa journey and it felt very sad to leave this place. The hotel was excellent with lovely staff and the 4 course dinner was out of the world. Beautiful setting and exceptional service! We celebrated our wedding there on 15/12/2012 and we returned 4years later. Presently surprised that the venue is still well maintained even though we have water restrictions! The staff are friendly and willing to go the extra mile! A gorgeous peaceful small town, white walls and nature landscape of the venue attracted me to the hotel.
The friendly smiles of staff, the willingness to help, the concierge spirit is outstanding.
Going to bed after a long day was worth it- crisp white sheets, a beautiful bathroom and wine (guest welcome gift) and waking up to fresh scones at breakfast was everything.

Our pool side photo shoot , white Grecian swimsuit theme, styled up, hair, nails, make up, the blue warm waters and cloudy weather was a dream! Grande Roche ambiance made me forget my fear of wearing a swimsuit.

The setting is amazing, breakfast quality was probably the best I have had there as we go every year. Service let it down as we had to clear our own plates and top up our own fizz nd wait along time for coffee. Settling the bill proved difficult for staff member as not till trained. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting as a base to explore the wine country. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with the utmost hospitality and warmth. The estate is perched on a slope overlooking a vineyard and the Cape Dutch Architecture added to the whole experience. The rooms are super quaint and the bathrooms were modern and well appointed. To be fair, we had researched quite a bit before settling on the Grande Roche. However, I must say that the reviews of past hotel guests did not lie, it is really that great of a hotel and experience. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant and the food was stellar. What was better than the excellent food was the sommelier Duane. He was not only knowledgeable but incredibly personable and genuine. He even went out of his way to plan our wine tasting route. During the meal,he went on the computer, and planned a route for us through the various towns to visit the vineyards that he felt we should. There is nothing to fault! We had the best evening with the most spectacular food. The springbok loin was fantastic, service top class, setting and views that can't be beaten! The Grand Roche hotel, based in Paarl, is the most exquisite, luxurious hotel.. When visiting Cape Town, it is my one-stop-allinone hotel, from keeping fit (with their Fitness centre, jacuzzi’s and spa) to a fabulous gift shop and much much more. Grand Roche is highly recommended to all who are visiting Cape Town area. Grand Roche to me is a true heritage point, that holds the true history of Cape Town. The architecture building design, including a one of a kind Chapel, with views of the Cape vineyards is incredible

I stayed at the divine Grande Roche with my mum. The staff could not do enough for us and as this was my mum's first time to South Africa she was bowled over. The real highlight had to be our "romantic dinner for two!" In Bosman's. We have been fortunate enough to dine in some incredible places over the years and this by far sat amongst some of the finest. The Grand Roche management and staff have delivered exceptional service to us since our arrival. From the way we were received and escorted to our rooms, to the delicious gourmet light lunch options, there has been superb customer care and attention to detail. Upon arriving back to our room, after an evening out, we were welcomed by a candle lit bathroom and cozily prepared beds. So Loving the luxury of this 5 star accommodation and looking forward to experience more comforts and joys over the next 2 days. No words can describe the Fabalous birthday treat I got on 21March 2018 at your place. A very big thank you to our waiter Mario for making my day extra special with his warm friendly approach when we enter the restuarant. MARIO was like a waiter on rollerskates This was my 1st visit and will defenitely not be my last. Thank you to the scones maker. Omw it taste out of the world.
