A group of 16 friends visited these premises on a Sunday afternoon. We had a great time listening to the live band and having some drinks. Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We were staying a mile and a half up the road and had ordered a taxi which was coming from a distance to pick us up. The manager and his team volunteered a lift, four trips later, dropping all 16 of us back at our accommodation! Best customer service we have ever known! I am returning in July with another group of friends, we will definitely be back! More...

A lovely local that the locals actually use. They have live music in the bar area. There is a restaurant area with about five tables and the bar area has more. Four of us are on a Sunday wild boar burger, scampi, steak pie and sea bass, all served with either chunky chips or seasons veg. The staff are friendly and attentive, portion sizes are just right and there is a good selection of deserts. The menu is well balanced for most tastes and the food is well cooked. It is best to book for an evening meal as it does get quite full from 6 pm. Would recommend a visit. More...

Very good menu, lots of choice and great for 2 coeliacs and a vegetarian in the group. Food was very tasty, well presented and portion sizes were spot on. Welcoming and attentive staff. My wife and I decided to finish our little break at Thanet Well lodges to have a meal out and went to The Boot and Shoe Inn in Greystoke. Staff were friendly and our meal was delicious. Thought the establishment was quiet quaint, clean and had a good selection to choose from on Menu . Was totally impressed by all the whisky containers on display. Staff informed me that there is an whisky club held here, never heard of this, great idea. When staying over here will definitely come back here. Les Brown Newcastle Upon Tyne More...
