The good times indeed did roll in the guise of a meatloaf Po Boy!! Â I was already sold on their crawfish pot pie; now I have TWO favorites. And the service was great as well.

Wow! Im a flight attendant and get to eat at ALOT of places. We came in to Lafayette on New Year's Day. The front desk ckerk at our hotel said hardly any restaurants were open due to the holiday. I opened Yelp and started calling until I found someone open. To say i was excited that they were open was an understatment. I am so glad Bon Tems was open not bc i was hungry but it is such a GREAT place! The food was AMAZING! We had the Crawfist Pot Pie, Swamp Legs and Turtle Soup. This is my new GO TO place on my layovers. They have daily drink specials. The staff were all great and helpful! And make sure you ask how to pronounce it bc its not how its spelled! More...

Love this place! Best place to eat in Lafayette! Restaurant is small but they have accommodated large groups on several occasions for us. Food is always delicious. They don't have a heat and eat type of kitchen. Food is prepared fresh by people that know what they are doing. Love it! More...

This evening, my manager treated 6 staff members to this wonderful restaurant and I absolutely loved the food! The atmosphere, the bartender, the host, our server Jessica and everyone else all did a remarkable job making sure we were comfortable. It was a real busy night for these folks, but they all remained calm under pressure. We did have a slight wait, but it was well worth it. This will become our new go to place. Steak was perfect, draft beer was ice cold the fish tacos were ok but the corn tortillas fell apart and had a bad taste! Ask for flower instead.

The food, the atmosphere, and the serving staff at this restaurant were all top notch. I have eaten shrimp and grits once before, home cooked, and by a native of New Orleans, but this was even better. Amazing!! Excellent find!We decided to break up a long drive from Florida to Texas in Lafayette, LA. Everything Louisiana is known for in a neat and tidy package. Staff is very friendly. From "Hey, Dahlin'! How y'all doin' tonight?" to "Thanks for stoppin' in. Y'all come back now, ya hear!"... But. The. FOOD.!! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was stellar. Great local cajun cuisine but Not you typical Cajun restaurant! We eat here once every couple weeks. The menu said that the shrimp are cooked in a sort of barbecue sauce and served with jalapeno cheese grits. Gumbo was delicious good flavor and sausage on a board was by far my favorite. Delicious blend of homemade sausages and sauces. The chard red onion aioli was a great compliment to the sausages. The service was exceptional. Waitress was knowledgeable of all selections. We really enjoyed Bon Temps Grill. Service was phenomenal and food was very good. We arrived mid-afternoon, but were still able to take adVantage of the lunch menu. The hostess was friendly  and we were quickly seated upon arrival. The hostess brought out complimentary garlic bread. I had low expectations, but the bread was very good. My daughter had the bacon cheeseburger  (of course) and thought it was great. They forgot the bacon, but quickly corrected it. It was served with  an order of fried homestyle potatoes (unsur of what they are called on menu). I tried their specialty - the crawfish etoufee pot pie. Yummy! The crust was fantastic and large enough to share. It was piping hot, so I had to eat it slowly. It was served with an order of jalepeno cheese grits. They were okay, but could have been a bit creamier for my preference. My hubby started with the chicken and sausage gumbo(he really liked it) and enjoyed the  Tasso encrusted redfish (seasonal offering) with grits and potatoes for his primary meal. He truly enjoyed his meal as well. We didn't try the dessert because we were full, but we look forward to returning on a future visit to Lafayette. More...

Well we are a long way from home and relied heavily on our server "Mitchell" he was fantastic.  He recommended the Alligator Bang Bang for starters then a real nice Amber Ale from Abita Brewery.  For the main course Mitchell recommended the Gator Doria and the Etoufee pot pie.  For Dessert The wife and I shared  the banana foster.  Everything was spot on.  Thank you Bon Temps. A very authentic feeling "local" place, with friendly staff, pleasantly low-scale decor, and really good food. We visited Bon Temps Grill about a month ago. We arrived for a very late lunch (about 3:30 pm) and one of the servers  opened the door for us to welcome us. We were immediately seated near the only other couple dining. (More on them later)!Our server was very helpful and recommended the meatloaf and crawfish pie. I did get the crawfish pie and grits, but my husband got something else that wasn't memorable. However the crawfish pie was something to remember! It was full of crawfish and seasoned to perfection. The crust was so light and flaky I thought it might fly off the bowl. The meal was so yummy that two weeks later I went back alone to order the same thing. Again the pie was perfect. I had leftovers this time and our server boxed  it up for me. The other couple was totally enjoying the alcoholic drinks. They were  not obnoxious or over doing it, but just kept mentioning how good their drinks were and the drink specials. This is one local restaurant you don't want to miss. More...

My friend and I found this spot a few weeks ago as we were looking for a new place to try. We were in Lafayette overnight for an appt. I kid you not, the food and service were so great, we went there two days in a row. The second day, we sat at the bar and got food to take home. My husband wanted a half order of the ribs and I got another order of the blackened fish lettuce wraps. Waiting for our order, I decided to try a coffee drink that had brandy and kahlua and a cocoa liqueur, I think... whatever, it was right up my alley! My husband was wishing he had gotten the whole order of ribs after he tried them. So, it's his birthday today, and driving from Franklin to go to Bon Temps for his birthday dinner.
