Horrible experience. Had two full suite installed in 2021 and took them 9 weeks to finish them. The main installer sent was a guy that used our house as a building site, no attention to peoples belonging and no care whatsoever to peoples home.
They sub let the job to third parties contractors self-employed which is perfect if you want to shift the blame and responsibility away. Had to ring and complain about the botching jobs - whilst installers where in my house - to HO requesting further assistance and other workmen to fix the constant issues. The ceiling installed in both bathrooms is coming off and the trims applied around the edges have fallen out several times to the point where i was so sick of the issue that I had to but new ones from a different company.
The toilet that they have installed in one of our bathrooms had to be taken off and put back on three times by three different workmen; the flushing mechanist wasn't working one time, the toilet itself wasn't really flushing away as the pipe wasn't the correct one, then the third time it was leaking from around the sealed edged attached to the wall unit; now - not even two years after - when we flush the toilet a waterfall comes through the light fitting in the downstairs bathroom, that's sits right under it where they installed the full the bathroom.
Absolutely cowboy job from start to finish; the only good service we received form that experience was the two tilers that were so reliable, clean, professional and knew what they were doing. They even took pictures and sent them to us while in the house looking at the plumber that we were sent, which turn up to be a joiner.....no wonder the pipe connections leak....I would be surprised if any others wont start leaking as well!!!
I had to now pay another plumber - currently working in the house - to rectify all their mistakes; costing me over a grand by the time everything is corrected.
I have taken pics of the miss-placed/missing connection/sealing that were left lose.
Not to mention that whilst having the bathrooms fully installed (well you know what I mean) and we rung to report constant issues my wife was abused and talked to like s**t over the phone by one of the workers , simply because we dare to report issues and in their contorted view we just had to accept what was happening. Worst company ever, stay away people, use some other company if you value your home and money.

The main bathroom we are still waiting since 2021 for them to come and finish installing the bath panel that was originally fixed with glue and came off as soon as my son stepped into the bath. The sent and tried to install another three panels since them and no one fitted the bath that we were sold originally....needless to say the panel still hasn't been fitted to this date!!! Again we had to ultimately contact someone else, as no further contacts from them.

Including walls taken down, ceilings & floors replaced and all done while we were living in London. We were updated with videos and phone calls throughout. My sister had her bathroom done by this company which is why I went to them for mine. As previously mentioned by others they sub contract the work out therefore it's the luck of the draw who you get, unfortunately my problems began on day one. They arrived on time, put protective plastic down on my stairs and landing, by the end of the week they had trudged with dirty boots on over every carpet in every room of the house, even all 3 bedrooms! There appeared to be no communication between the salesman and the fitter, after day one the bath was installed the wrong way round and the shower which I wanted lower had been placed on the old framework of our existing shower, so the next day was spent grudgingly lowering the shower and turning the bath around, as a result the bath has silicone on around the side facing the room and slight damage to one corner, they hadn't been told what tile pattern I wanted, when told the fitter groaned out loud and stomped off, I told both the salesman and fitter I wanted dark grey grout, I got light grey, one of the labourers went through my kitchen cupboards looking for a glass when I was in the next room and he could have asked. When it was all finished my home was left far from gleaming as their website states, I have had to scrub the bathroom, the floor tiles still won't come clean, the shower will only drain if I remove the drain cover, I've had to redecorate my hall and staircase because the walls were left filthy and with scratches, my carpets will need cleaning too, and they're sending someone out next week to top up the grout on the floor where they missed. We wanted to give a local business our support so went with Boldon bathrooms. I wish we hadn’t and had went with a National company. The problems all started the day the installation started. The jobs are subbed out to contractors so you get whoever is available that week. Over the first three days they were in our house less than 8 hours. We have had our electric blow of at the fuse box large water spillages which have went into the downstairs roof space and still after over a week since completion have the old bathroom in our front garden with all that comes from our old toilets and waste pipes sitting there. The waste is supposed to be collected the day after completion. They were never here on time once and after the first 6 days required to come back another three for what was supposed to be 1 hours work. We were told 5 days 6 max to do the job and if they ever turned up before 11 could probably have been achieved. I have been ringing them daily to come and collect the waste and have been told daily that it will happen tomorrow. That was a week ago and is the reason for this post. Use them at your own risk. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have saved money for many months to get a new bathroom, looked at many places & although Boldon had many bad reviews they also had good ones so I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, the guy who I spoke to came out measured he was polite & helpful I later went into the showroom to pick my suite & although it was a little rushed the guy was again polite.
He worked out the price agreed that it would be 1600 to pay cash to fitter then that left approx 3000 to pay I said that I'd like to pay cash for some & possible finance the rest, that was no problem he even told me financing the whole lot would be approximate 64 per month. In the week before they ring to say fitters would be there on the Monday I mention the finance as I hadn't heard anything they say 3 different things, firstly it should be done 2 weeks before (I was told a week)so why did they not get in touch with me they knew I was requesting a finance package, second version well the guy who does the finance was furloughed so he couldn't have sorted it out, well I'm sure paperwork could have been sent through the post, third version, well you're supposed to sort your own finance out, they actually said to me 'when you buy a car you go to the garage WITH your own finance & buy a car that way!!! It's the same for their bathrooms. Really I've bought more than my fair share of cars in my life & I have never sorted my own out. So 3 different versions of why my finance wasn't sorted, but I was told a week & I should have done it myself I have consequently had to cancel my bathroom. I have not once had an apology for this mistake just 2 people being very snotty on the phone to me. Then a call off a guy called Dave to ask if I still wanted to sort out the finance again no apology not one, they lost a 5grand sale & will never recommend boldon bathrooms.
All it would have taken would have been sorry for the mistake let us try & rectify this & get you your bathroom but no nothing! Only good thing that came out of this is I'm getting my deposit back!

Avoid at all costs. You might as well be dealing with B&Q as they sub out all the plumbing and tiling work. The installer we had was a complete cowboy (used silicone sealant instead of fittings which eventually degraded as caused leaks) and has resulted us having to completely replace our bathroom after 3 years.

This review is on behalf of my Grandma, she has had an awful experience with this company. Her bathroom has only been in for around 6 months and she has needed her extractor fan replaced/ fixed 4 times since then. They have not been helpful we are still waiting for them to come out and fix it yet again More...

Sorry u feel this way but we are fresh out of the 3 month coronavirus lockdown and we feel as a company irresponsible to send a fitter to an elderly persons home at present .risking her health .

They were due to start installing & tiling a new bathroom on Monday. Almost lunchtime on day 3 & presently a grand total of two guys on site for 90 yes 90 minutes! !!! Only one star rating & only got that because I couldn't give zero More...

Boldon bathrooms! If I'd found these reviews I wouldn't have used them. They have soaked my dining room ceiling twice due to cutting wrong radiator pipes, fitting a faulty waste on bath, incorrect fitting of a water pipe connector. Air is stuck in the central heating system (Boiler). Have said that if there's a fault with boiler they won't replace any part even though it was working perfectly prior to them doing any work. Either the tiled floor will have to come up or ceiling may have to come down to check out the pipework. I got these people because I saw reviews which praised them for their work, OOOOH! they were the lucky ones. Work started on the 15th April 2019 and should have taken 5 days to complete. To date my home is still in a mess due to waiting to find out what other work they have to do to rectify the problems. Would I recommend them the answer is NO even though they are trying to sort things out I am finding them slow to respond and seeing their advert on TV is galling to say the least. More...

Recently had a en-suite done by Boldon Bathrooms. Excellent service throughout. The designer Josh was very polite and professional, Alan the Fitter was very articulate and made sure we where happy and Mathew the aftersales manager contacted us throughout and even checked in with us after to make sure we were happy. Not one for writing review's you never know how genuine they are, however we decided to remove bath and replace with a walk in shower so after visiting several bathroom premises we visited Boldon bathrooms and was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and were advised which shower e. t.c. would be best and a home visit essential. after the home visit we agreed on the price, which though not the cheapest quote we had we both felt comfortable and confident so gave the go ahead, and I must say the job was started first thing Mon morning and was complete by Wed, no fuss we just left them to get on and went out with the dog, they cleaned up no mess at all, the old bath along with the old tiles taken away, so yes this is a genuine report and I would not hesitate in recommending Boldon Bathrooms More...
