I’ve no problem with the quality of the work they do. My issue is with their fee system which is not good and a the worst a blatant rip off. Our story. We had our boiler serviced which went well £75.00, not cheap, but fine, were in Edinburgh and it is a professional service. We needed a TRV fitted on a return visit. The engineer estimated £15 - £20 which changed over the weekend to £35.00. Then on asking what the fitting of the valve and the service to our gas fire would cost I was told £75.00 for the valve and £75.00 for the service of the fire because we charge an hourly flat rate for each job. I then asked how long to fit the valve and the business owner says about 20mins. And how long to service the fire? About 30 mins. That makes a total of 50 mins on site. To my mind thats £75 based on there hourly flat rate. However the business owner then says no we charge £75 for each job because of extra paperwork. Really! I am raging. More...
