We have seen much improvement in our 4 year old dog Zoey! We adopted her in April and had done a group training session with a different company initially, it gave us the basics but we needed more specialize training for Zoey's lease aggression. Bret has taught us how to correct her on walks and keep her focused on the walk and not the other dogs, all without using a prong collar(which everyone else I talked to said we would need to use).
Zoey also listens to us better with basic commands and she has even learned a few tricks :)

Bret and Stephanie are amazing! We have a German Shepherd dog (Hannah) in need of some behavior modification and they turned our dog into a much more calm and well-behaved dog. They evaluated how all the dogs in our home interact with each other and us to better understand the dynamics of our pack and how Hannah could improve. I am amazed at the dog we have now! It was truly remarkable to see the difference in Hannah from day one of training to her graduation day. I can only sing the praises of Bret and Stephanie for their amazing work. My pit-mix Mase is an energetic and excitable guy, but Bret was able to teach us awesome ways for Mase to use his enthusiasm in better ways, and tackle some behavior issues as well! I'm so happy with the improvement I've seen in Mase's behavior, and love that even after our time for lessons is over, Bret made it clear that he is still available via text/email if I have any future questions or concerns. Brettt was great with our dog Bowie. He was was very hands on and we loved his teaching style. His lessons and demonstrations were very informative and spot on. He explained that changing our behavior was integral in Bowie's success which has been helpful to us. Brett was prompt to our appointments and kept in contact with any questions or changes we had in our schedule. My parents came out for one session and he was very accommodating with bringing them up to speed with what we had already learned in the first lesson. The entire experience I had with them was enjoyable and educational. Bret was a very personable person who was easy to talk to and there to answer any questions we had through the whole process. I also loved that they use positive reinforcement training rather that any form or correction. My shiba has shown so much progress in terms of her food aggression and I have no one else to thank for all the help then the Bohannons. Brett was a tremendous help with helping us train our new pup Lucy. By the time our 3 week session was up with Brett Lucy was able to sit, lay down, wait, and stay. ..all with non-verbal hand signals as well as verbal commands, along with several other things. Also with his help, Lucy now tells us when she wants to go outside to go to the bathroom by ringing a bell. I would recommend all dog owners to Bohannon Dog Training. I adopted my dog Luka in early may. He's three and want socialized. I found Stephanie and Brett online. We stayed training two weeks after I got Luka. He was terrified of men and everything else. The change in him is amazing. He took to Stephanie immediately and within the first session with Brett he went from hiding in the other room and barking to playing with Brett and was chirped up next to him after an hour. They both are wonderful. His issues won't go away overnight but Stephanie and Brett have taught me how to work with him to help him be as confident as he can be. I would recommend Bohannon dog training to anyone. They helped me save Lukas life. They ate always willing to listen and offer advice whenever I need it. If I ever apt another dog or I decide I want more advanced training I will definitely call them. More...

I cannot say enough about the service that both Stephanie and Bret offered me and my Mazie girl. Stephanie was prompt to answering my emails, getting appointments scheduled and suggesting where and what to buy for training. Bret's training style was not only structural but also easy to follow. Bret even trucked an hour and 20 minutes to farm country to complete Mazie's last session. I know the commands, advice, suggestions, etc. that Bret offered will make Mazie an exceptional dog. We loved Bohannon Dog Training!! This was our first puppy so we were a little in the dark on the best way to go about training her. You read so many different things online and it all becomes a mess of information. Bret came in and walked us through everything: dominance, basic commands, house training, etc. Sure it was puppy training for her, but for us as well. The Bohannons are the best!! They helped me learn how to be a better dog mom so my sweet pup could be his best self too. They cared about the challenges unique to my dog and catered our training around that. Their positive reinforcement methods work and they are delightful to work with!! We've used the Bohannon's for both of our dogs, and we can't say enough good things about them! Bret and Stephanie are professional, friendly and attentive. They'll answer any question we have about either dog through text or email almost right away. We've both bonded with our pups and gained confidence in ourselves as dog owners, not to mention impressed all of our friends and family with our extremely obedient and well behaved dogs. Bret and Stephanie are wonderful! They truly enjoy working with dogs and teaching people how to be good dog owners. Bret worked with me and my former dog, Frankie, who was a very dominant boy with a high prey-drive, and Steph worked with me and my current pup, Finley, on basic commands. They use positive-reinforcement training and really explain and demonstrate everything. I learned that dog training should really be called "human training," because I was the one who had to be taught everything! Plus they drove an hour out to Oxford, OH, to work with us, and were always quick to respond to a question in email or on the phone. I cannot say enough good things about Bret and Steph. Stephanie & Brett have been HUGE life savers for my family and my pack. We had some dog aggression issues develop between two of our dogs and Stephanie & Brett came in, assessed, and gave me a training plan. They also explained pack theory which made me learn so much about how a dog sees the world instead of how I see the world. They came back to follow up after I had done my homework and praised my efforts and gave me more homework to take it to the next level. They continue to offer support in between sessions and my pack is closer and closer to being in harmony again.
