I was recommended to Body Complete by a friend. I’ve suffered with a bad shoulder for a couple of years , physio has nt worked , within 3 weeks I have more movement in my shoulder than ever . Best place to go if you want to get educated on exercise, nutrition and have fun whilst getting the education. Thanks to Chris Stringer who is an excellent coach and pushes you to your limit. He's always cheerful and never stops talking, it's usually rubbish, (lol) but it helps pass the time on. I only signed up for 6 months and 3 years later i'm still there. So where to start ..... i signed up just over 4 weeks ago as I was feeling , fat, sluggish and demotivated . I needed a kick start. I walked through the green door of BCHQ with trepidation , and was greeted by the gym owner Chris Stringer. Chris is like a breath of fresh air with his enthusiasm, knowledge and patience . After discussion about my individual goals , my weight and measurements were logged and a review booked in after 4 weeks . I signed up for semi private sessions as I needed a to be in small group where I would learn the exercises properly . These sessions are amazing . They are run by both Chris and Tom Hill. Tom is also brilliant at what he does . All classes are very hard , but fun and motivational at the same time .

After trying several diet plans to lose weight I was told by a friend who already uses Body Complete for gym sessions to speak to Chris Stringer about the 21 Day Healthy Eating Plan that they provide.
Together with my wife we made an appointment and went to see Chris. From the initial enquiry to the final weigh in after the 21 days, the support, advice and encouragement has been fantastic from both Chris and the rest of the Body Complete team.
We decided to do the plan together, (wife and myself) then we could support each other. The plan is fantastic, we got a weekly meal plan, telling us what to eat and when, the recipes on how to cook everything along with the weekly shopping list. Everything you need. Along with weekly gym sessions during the 21 days and regular messages from Chris supporting us the 21 days past in no time at all.
The results were amazing. I lost just over a stone in 21 days.
We have now made our own meal plan, shopping list so we can continue with the healthy eating as it changes our lifestyle for the better.

I joined body complete because I was a lonely runner who had plateaued with speed, endurance and weight loss. Since joining and learning how to avoid the rubbish food I aways ate after a run, I've maintained a good weight and knocked down my pbs in races. The speedwork sessions are brutal but it's the best session you can do. I learnt to push myself and not think of pain! I've got a sub 2 hour half marathon, I've so far knocked 20 mins off my marathon pb, hit a 50:00 10k and learnt to tolerate 5ks! I started with Body Complete 3/4 years ago doing the Bootcamp. Chris Stringers motivation, energy and personality got me through two freezing winters on the beach, made me a lot fitter, stronger, thinner and mentally happier. I left for a year due to family and work commitments and tried the regular gym scene. I lost my fitness level, put my weight back on and felt demotivated. I returned because I knew Chris Stringer and his team were the only ones who could help me get to where I needed to be. I use to compete for fun in 10k trail and road runs, mountain biking and triathlons, then I tore my cartilage in my knee which stopped me from doing any sport, it was operated on in May 2017 and they found arthritis in my knee. I was told I wouldn't run again. I tried to get fit again but I just seemed to be injury prone, I couldn't walk down hill without pain and mentally I was a wreck.
After an assessment with Chris Stringer at Body Complete Fitness, he was was sure he could get me running again �, so now I'm in my 3rd month of two personal training sessions a week with Chris and I've been attending a variety of classes at the Body Complete gym, I'm now mentally and physically stronger, lighter and pain free when I walk down hill (I virtually cried with relief when this first happened)
Chris is totally different to the usual P.T. Trainer, he can spot an imbalance in your body a mile out and knows exactly what's needed to correct it, I must admit I've been through some pain in my training sessions but it's been well worth it. Chris's is full of enthusiasm, motivation and a huge amount of energy, he's an amazing individual who always wears a big smile.
The gym classes are fun n tough and everyone at the gym are so friendly, it's like one big happy family. Chris's partner, Zoe, helps to run the business, and she's very welcoming and friendly.
I always say that as you move through life you meet a handful of people who are truly gifted at what they do and Chris Stringer is definately one of them, I would highly recommend him to anyone. More...
I’ve been with Body Complete since it first began! I’ve loved the variety of the outdoor sessions and rain or shine I honestly enjoyed every one! I’m now loving the indoor semi-private sessions which are helping me strengthen and get to the root of some longstanding injury problems. The Body Complete team are endlessly supportive and motivational, and they really treat you as an individual – I’ve learnt so much about my body’s strengths and weaknesses, and seen it change dramatically for the better! And it’s not all physical; I always leave a class more relaxed, committed and brimming with feel-good endorphins which help keep me eating healthy all day! My sister and I have been going to Body Complete for four weeks now and we love it! This is not your usual gym - we have regular check ins with Chris to monitor progress and we have been given nutrition plans which has changed our entire way of thinking about food.
